It's a powered glider so we use folding propellers to cut down on drag when the motor is off.

Oooh. I wouldn't have thought that centrifugal force to hold them 'out', but hey, that might not even be how they work.

Sort of, initially the centrifugal force pulls them out, away from the fuselage but after that they are trying to screw through the air and so are pulling themselves forward.
