Title: Elysium's Night Out
Description: -An unwelcome meeting-
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 12:44 AM (GMT)
Elysium had decided against the dank Subway systems this night, but rather found a more up beat place to hunt to his hearts desire, to kill that unwelcome blood lust that controled him in every aspect, even when he was so reluctant to follow along. Why had he chosen this place? Because he would rather be here, enjoying the music, the flashing lights, rather then pluck an unsuspecting mortal from the darkness like some animal.. After all, he wasn't an animal... He still felt all those human emotions his sire had told him would flutter away after time. Well, so much for time. It had been exactly 32 years, and six months since he had last seen his so called master, time which had been spent, for the most part alone.
So, here he was, sitting comfortably at the bar, while watching the many random couples dance together, their thoughts matching that of the atmostphere- hot and sticky. The smell was what aggitated him the most, though, as the smell was what was the strongest. It was amazing all the scents a human being could give off, some, if not most weren't so pleasant. His lengthy fingertips curled around a glass, which he had taken from the bar, simply holding it in his hands, the liquid inside almost gone.
He stalked his way threw, and found one that angered him. This youth was a reflection of his former self, and he could not bear to look at him, and to know that he sat so calmly, so unaware at his little table, drinking away just as Elli had done. Would that make him just like his sire? That thought scared him, but no... He knew it would not make him like that fiend.
He cautiously set the glass down, and decided to join the little table, since he knew by the mortal's actions that alcohol was thick in his blood by this time. And with a simple kiss to the throat, and a pleasing gesture as a hand eased over the male's chest, he was lapping away the life, without remorse. The music was to loud for any moans to be heard, and Elysium was so careful to conceal what he had done, that a few droplets of his own blood stained those wounds, to heal them like they would heal the slice in his tongue he had created.
Propping the body up, he looked at the face, touched it gently, as if caressing the soul to lift it from its body and move heavenward. "Let the angels take you by the hand.." He whispered, before slowly, sadly slipping out of the booth.

The air was thick with sweat, the moisture clinging like a second skin. The music strummed, vibrating everything and making it feel like the whole world was moving. The dancers didn't help, swaying in every which direction. The heat was mounting, causing others to shed clothing. A number of women glanced in his direction, smiling and dancing some more.
Lucien loved it all.
Adrenaline ran high in a place like this, and it was an emotion that the blonde vampire had come to love, especially in prey. It always seemed to make the blood taste sweeter, and when the blood was sweeter, Lucien felt more inclined to make the owner of said blood into something beautiful, and yet haunting. Those were the two things that he loved about his work.
Through his left eye, he caught several people who would make excellent art pieces. One shy woman who was huddled in the corner offered him a unique idea. He knew exactly how to use her, but it would require string. He didn't have that at the moment, but he was tempted to lure the social outcast back home in order to complete the task.
Or he would have, had he not caught sight of a more worthy prey. A smirk came to his lips, and if it could have, amusement would have poured from his pores. His ice blue eyes watched him through the crowd. He wasn't that hard to follow. One always recognizes their own Childe.
He looked exactly the same, more or less. He'd lost some of the spark, but that was understandable. He most likely hadn't had a good feed in a while. Moving through the crowd, he saw his Childe prey on someone, leaving the corpse dreadfully boring. Too boring. This was not what Lucien wanted.
He moved up behind Elysium, so fast that his Childe probably didn't even notice him. "Hello Elli," he whispered in the boy's ear. "It has been a long time, has it not? You've been very naughty, running away like that. Not to mention leaving the corpse there, like nothing had happened. You should find pleasure in it, rejoice at your victory, though admittedly," Lucien gazed over at the corpse for a moment, before turning back, "it wasn't that much of a victory considering how drunk the man was." He leaned closer. "What was the reason you chose him? If you ask me, he reminds me a bit of you when you were human." He chuckled. "Is that the reason Elli? I should hope not."
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 01:19 AM (GMT)
The immortal had moved through the croud sluggishly, pushing threw a few dancing few because they would not move. A sigh escaped him, a sorrowful one. What to do now? He could always enjoy some wine... or something stronger to tinge his senses. That sounded lovely, something stronger, and something warm that he could drink up and relax with.
He too, was given a few nods his way, and smiles from those half dressed women, dancing to the pulsing music. "Sounds like a heartbeat..." he murmered to himself with a chuckle. He felt much more releaved now that he was filled, warm, and more human-like again. He was also releaved that he had killed that being... It did him good, as if he were killing himself.
It was when he decided to head back to the bar that he heard the whispered, and he jumped in his own skin, leaping around in a one hundred and eighty degree turn to see those familiar eyes staring back into his one, that same familiar voice haunting him. "Lucien!" He cried silently, his own voice straying from his throat, causing him to gasp for some air.
When his voice did come back to him, however, he couldn't seem to put things into words. "A long time.." He mimiced, "..running away......leaving the-" He paused, frowning. He scoffed, his eyes emotional, but angry, his face contorted with confusion. "I do not kill for pleasure! I... do not kill and make it into some kind of evil!" Though he hushed quickly as he heard his sire's last few comments. ~Why had I chosen him....When I was human...~ "It..... does not matter why I chose him." Does it?
Nafretiri - July 17, 2004 01:39 AM (GMT)
"Is it evil if you enjoy it?" inquired Lucien, an innocent look on his face. "Surely God would not condemn you for doing something you enjoy, would he not?" He looked at Elysium. "Don't act so shocked. Surely you knew I'd find you sooner or later. It's later rather than sooner, but good things take time, n'est-ce pas?"
Inside, he was far happier than he should have been. This was much more fun than he had anticipated. He had not known that his Childe would be here, so it was a pleasant surprise. For him at least. He let out a chuckle, seeing the look on his charge's face. Obviously, Elysium didn't think that way.
"Anything can be entertaining if you put your mind to it. I'm sure you have some unfufilled desires in the beautiful head of yours. You simply need to put them to work, as I do with mine."
He could see that his childe obviously wasn't happy with him, and Lucien found it oh so much fun to toy with him. Nobody got quite as annoyed with him as his Elli, something that Lucien missed. Not that he'd admit it to anyone. Elysium was one of his ultimate masterpieces. He was allowed to show pride, but not affection. At least not in public.
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 01:56 AM (GMT)
"It is evil, Lucien.... It is." He whispered, whimpering quietly, "I... Why did you come looking for me.. Why are you here?" He questioned, a shiver running through him. "You know... nevermind, don't even answer that question, Lucien...I knew you'd find me..Yes, you're right. I knew." He closed his eyes, resting there, his hands shaking visibly. He was disgusted at the comment from Lucien, "Surely you know that I have unfulfilled desires."
Oh yes, Lucien was one of few that could annoy him to the point of breaking. And he knew how much his sire loved it, too. "Can we... go to a more private location?" He had a feeling, though that Lucien would want to stay in public, just to watch poor Elli squirm. "Lucien... please?" He felt uncomfortable, extremely, but he tried to seem prideful none the less.
Ahh yes, he remembered when Lucien and he used to be together, and how his sire used to show him off in public... and how he acted when they were alone. It was one of the few things that he liked about Lucien... he enjoyed his time with him when they were alone. Their affection for one another. But in public? He hated the other... he hated him with a passion.
Nafretiri - July 17, 2004 02:20 AM (GMT)
Lucien studied his Childe, noticing the all too submissive behaviour. Surely he wasn't that harsh? Oh, well perhaps he was, but it was through no fault of his own. Certain events in his life had led him to be what he was, including the loss of his eye. A bubble of rage formed in his gut, before he popped it quickly. No need to vent out on his Childe.
He wrapped his arm around Elli, pulling the younger vampire along with him. "But of course, mon cher. We have just been reunited! Privacy is a must. How could we become reacquainted in here? Come come, I am sure I can obtain a back room."
Leading Elysium to a far corner, he walked into a door, the guard not even seeming to notice him. Lucien looked in a few rooms, before picking one he deemed suitable. Letting go of the other vampire, he plopped down gracefully on a couch, something few individuals could do while still maintaining grace.
"So Elli, you wanted privacy. Now we have privacy." Lucien raised an eyebrow. "Care to tell me why you left without a word of notice? It was dreadfully rude."
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 02:35 AM (GMT)
He was cautious, because he knew he had to be with the male, but now that they were alone, he... felt uncomfortable, because Lucien was always more affectionate when they were alone. He crossed his arms over his chest, and closed his eyes, leaning against the wall, "Lucien..." He whispered the name, a sigh following close after, as if they were destined to be that way.
"I left because I wanted to leave everything behind, Lucien... You. My mortal life. Everything I knew." He whimpered quietly, rubbing at his throat as if to cure the lump. "I didn't think you'd miss me enough to come looking for me... if that is in fact what you did." He added.
"Why do you treat me so nicely when we're alone... you're so affectionate. Or you were anyway.... But when we were in public, you used to show me off like some kind of prize! Like some kind of dear you'd shot and mounted!" He was obviously distraught, enough so that his whole body was shaking.
Nafretiri - July 17, 2004 03:16 AM (GMT)
A strange pain filled Lucien's chest, something he hadn't felt in quite some time. He looked at Elysium, and was caught by the similarities between the two of them. They were both beautiful, not handsome, but in a masculine way. They both carried a lot of pain. And... they'd both been paraded around and humiliated. The pain in his chest grew.
Standing up, Lucien made his way to his Childe. He frowned, hoping the emotion he was feeling didn't reflect in his eyes. He moved a lock of hair out of Elysium's face, and touched his cheek lightly with his fingers. He'd forgotten how fragile Elysium seemed at times.
"Elli... I did that?" Lucien sighed in a frustrated manner, turning in an agitated way. He wiped some hair out of his eye and showing a glimpse of the ugliness that considered his eye. This proved how frustrated he was, seeing as he never let his eye show, not even to his Childe. "I assure you," he said, "that whatever I did was done in pride, and not to amuse myself. I would not enforce that humiliation on anyone, not willingly."
He paused. "I did not think I would find you. It is, after all, a very large planet. Still, I travelled, and now, here you are."
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 03:24 AM (GMT)
He shivered under the touch of his master, and lowered his gaze to the ground. "Yes..." He answered the short question, "You did do that... Be it in pride or otherwise.... You used to show me around like a cheap whore." He watched the male turn away, and gave a sigh.
"Lucien..." He whispered, but when he saw the eye, he moved toward the male, curling his arms about the vampire's chest, nuzzling into his shoulder in an affectionate gesture. They had been affectionate once, hadn't they? "I'm sorry I left.... but do you understand why?" He paused, pulling away from the embrace to seat himself on the couch. "I know you were proud of making me... but why'd you do it?"
That was a question that needed answering, and it was something that he had to know. It was from that moment that he hushed himself, waiting for Lucien to answer any of his comments, before he would go on.
Nafretiri - July 17, 2004 04:13 AM (GMT)
"A cheap whore," repeated Lucien hollowly. He sat down next to next to his childe, a frown permanently etched onto his face. Was he turning into that retched piece of lard that had once done the same thing to him? Damn it all, he would rather die than become that son of a bitch, even if it by his own hand.
He wouldn't express these thoughts to Elysium though. He'd never told the man next to him his full story. There had never been an appropriate time. There was too much hurt in that story, and the last thing he wanted was to bring it all back up again, especially around Elli.
"Why did I turn you?" said Lucien, managing to look both annoyed and amused while still frowning. "Because even though your life was drastically different than mine, I felt that I could connect with you. It sounds foolish now, but at the time, I was captured by your beauty. I am not embarrassed to say it. It pained me to think that you'd die and that I might never get to... explore your personality." A bitter chuckle burst from his throat. "It sounds so absurd. I wanted you to be my shining masterpiece. Nothing before or since has come close."
There, he said it. It was hard, but he'd done it. Lucien wasn't the type to reveal intimate details about his feelings, quite the opposite. They always sounded so sappy in words. It was an art form that Lucien had never quite mastered.
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 04:23 AM (GMT)
"I see...." He whispered, and small nod coming from him. He didn't like that tone Lucien took. "So... partially it was for your own amusement. You said it yourself, you wanted me to be your masterpiece. And there it is there, its finally reared its ugly head... and I remember now why I left." A sad, empty sigh leaving him. "I only spent four months with you, Lucien.... four months."
He was so hurt... "I left, yes... But do you know how desperately I needed someone then? I was alone in a world I was unfamiliar with, with a thirst that I could never, I know now, satisfy. I think you loved me the night you made me, but after that night, I was seen in your eyes as something beautiful to look at... like a piece of eye candy." He said all this without remorse, and without fear. "I killed that man tonight because he did remind me of myself.... and to think that there was a possibility that he would go through the same as I, I could not bear it." He was so innocent, even now, with all the lives he had taken...
"I... Don't know how to feel right now, Lucien. How to act around you." He paused, and turned to stare at the immortal that made him, a hand moving to touch the being's cheek, his fingertips pushing away the locks that hid that eye. "I think I loved you, too... Then.... All of you."
Nafretiri - July 17, 2004 04:38 AM (GMT)
Lucien flinched as Elysium moved his hair out of the way, acting the way he would if he had been physically struck. His eye was nothing more than disfigured flesh, and he didn't want anyone to see it. Nobody should be forced to look at the monstrosity.
"You're right, I did want you to be my masterpiece; a masterpiece that was not defined by appearances alone, and one that was beautiful as I am not." Lucien met Elysium's hazel gaze with his own ice blue one. You had not been tainted by the world then, and I suppose I wanted to keep it that way. I do not deny what I did, though I might've asked you beforehand. Sadly it cannot be undone."
"I am sorry I drove you away," confessed Lucien seriously, "but for me, becoming a vampire was a gift, a powerful gift. It was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. I assumed most others would find it the same way, but I find now that I was mistaken."
Grasping his childe's hand in his own, he added, "Feel however you wish to feel. If you indeed do not love me anymore, then that is your choice. However, let it be known that I will not desist so easily."
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 04:51 AM (GMT)
"You should have gotten to know me then, Lucien... before you did what you did. It would seem you just saw me for my beauty when I was alive, until you realized how I truely was..... I'm fragile, Lucien.... I'm diseased. I'm cursed. And yet you look at me..." He paused looking in those eyes before him, "You look at me as if I am still alive.... But its all an illusion. I'm just a carbon copy of what I once was. Not the original." What he spoke was truth..
"I suppose, I'm even more fragile now, more alone... And thats because I didn't have anyone. But it was my fault, I suppose. I was the one that left." ~He had driven me away.... ~ But he would dare not say such a thing. Though, he was glad that his sire appologised for what he had done.
He frowned as the male writhed when Elysium had touched his cheek, "Stop it..." He repremanded, "You were always so touchy about your eye, and yet I see nothing. You are just as beautiful to me, Lucien." It took him a long moment before he answered his sire, "I... Do not know if I still love you, Lucien. It's been almost 33 years since I've seen you. How am I do know, that you have not changed? You were only affectionate when we were alone Lucien..." He stated, as if it were a fact, while giving the hand that held his own a small squeeze.
Nafretiri - July 17, 2004 05:14 AM (GMT)
"Can you blame me? I was born when that was the custom. Showing any kind of emotion in public was frowned upon, at least in the circles of which I was acquainted. It seems to have continued throughout my existed. I cannot change what I am, no matter how badly I wish it at times."
In truth, Lucien had learned to cope with situations in public by putting out a confident and somewhat conceited front. It minimized the hurt, or at least it had when he was alive. He hadn't tried showing emotion outside private quarters in a long time. In these days, he wasn't sure what to expect.
"I cannot assure you that I have not changed," said Lucien, with a frown smaller than the one he wore before. "I myself do not know if I have changed or not. Mind you, we were together for such a short amount of time before, I am not entirely certain you know all there is to know about me... In fact, I'm quite positive you don't. How could you, the past being what it was."
Lucien snorted, but didn't let go of Elysium's hand. "I am not touchy," he denied firmly. "My eye is ugly. It was ugly two hundred years ago and it is ugly now. You need not say kind things on my behalf. I am quite aware how monstrous my deformities are, though my eye is the worst."
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 05:29 AM (GMT)
He listened to all that Lucien said, remaining silent for the most part, giving a few simple nods. "Well... If you are certain that I don't know about you, then we have all the time in the world to change that, do we not?" He questioned, simply resting his hand within the other's, not to anxious to pull it away.
His own frown, however struck up as he looked at the male, and how edgy he was getting about his eye. Now, Elysium had a wonderful way of displaying emotion without having to say a word, because it was all written out on his face, as clear as day. It was obvious that he was annoyed by what the male was saying, which showned quite well in the way he held his lip structure. "Oh shut up, Lucien... I'd slap you if I had the nerve." He grumbled, eyes narrowed, that hazel so deep upon his sire. "Now you are too touchy about that eye. You should just get over it already..... You're not ugly, Lucien. If you were, I would tell you straight out." He paused, and gave a small smile, "Besides... I find your 'deformities' make your personality. You're beautiful, Lucien... just like you said I was."
Nafretiri - July 17, 2004 05:51 AM (GMT)
"Yes, we do have all the time in the world," agreed Lucien, placing a chaste kiss on Elysium's hand. "Although I am not sure it is a tale you would wish to hear. Even I do not like thinking about it sometimes. Two hundred years, and it still haunts me. I am beginning to think I will never come to full terms with it."
What he didn't say was that he still had dreams about it sometimes. Dreams about his former life and how he had come to be what he was. Elysium was sentimental, and Lucien did not want to be treated with pity or sympathy. He simply wanted to go on existing and try to forget it, however hard it may be.
A smirk on his face, Lucien tried his best to look innocent. "Mon cher, I am quite aware that I am a beautiful creature. It is simply my eye and other parts of me that are ugly." He chuckled. "But I thank you for your kind words, even if I do not completely believe them."
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 06:02 AM (GMT)
He smiled further as he felt the lips touch his hand, "Well.....I'd like to know. And we have plenty of time to get it all out of you." He murmered, brushing back a few of his own curled locks that strained his vision. "I'll hear whatever you'd like to tell me, Lucien." He frowned, and however ironic it was, he didn't like his sire's sudden smirk, and spoke up, "You think I'm pitying you...." He scoffed, and shook his head, his eyes once more firm, like that of his lips.
"Oh don't you dare give me that mon cher business, Lucien. I don't fall for that anymore." He frowned, and turned his gaze away, looking at the wall, while he emptied his lungs of a deep breath. "You'll believe me, in time." He mentioned, hands still slightly shakey.
It wasn't long before he turned back to face the male, his features showing not much, if any emotion for a long time. That was, until a smile erupted his indifference, and he leaned forward, his cheek brushing slowly against the immortal's before his lips reached their destination. It was a very unexpected thing, but Elysium... did seem happy. It was a fairly long kiss, especially since they had only just reunited, and all that had happened between them, and yet... it ment something.
Nafretiri - July 17, 2004 06:23 AM (GMT)
Lucien was somewhat surprised, but not at all displeased when Elysium kissed him, and did not hesitate in returning the favour. One of his cold, pale hands cupped his partner's cheek in his, and he simply lost himself to the kiss, forgetting everything else for a moment. When they broke away, Lucien rested his forehead on Elysium's. "I had missed that these past few years."
He leaned back onto the cushioned armrest. Staring at his childe for a few minutes, he sighed an closed his eyes. "I will not pretend that my life was easy, but I will not pretend that it was not good at times either. There were times when I was almost happy." He paused. "When I was young, my father borrowed money from a rich lord. When he could not pay off his debts to said lord a few years later, the lord wanted to be compensated, and he was - with me.
"Do not think that I was a slave and slept in a dirty corner, for that is not how it was. The lord had but one son, one heir. I started out thinking that the son and I could be friends. After all, we were treated almost identically. Same classes, same tutors, same banquets. Unfortunately for both the lord and myself, the son had a knack for getting into all kinds of mischief, and as a result, I was punished."
The usually confident man took in a shaky breath. "Do you know what a whipping boy is, Elli? It's a boy who takes the punishment when there is only one heir. I was that boy." He closed his good eye, his face contorting into an expression of pain as he remembered what he had suffered during his years.
Ailes Cassées - July 17, 2004 06:35 AM (GMT)
He seemed a bit upset that the kiss stopped, and a pout laced his lips. Though, his chest rumbled quietly in a man made type purr. "You missed that?" He questioned, another smile, rare as they were, seemed to be becoming more frequent. "Well I'm glad you missed me.." He whispered.
Though, a sadness, one of a different kind drifted over him as he listened to the male, easing closer to curl his arms about Lucien's chest. "Mmmm....my dear Lucien.." He whimpered quietly, "It sounds horrid, I'm sorry.... You didn't have to tell me right now. But, I'm glad you did." He whispered, brushing a few more kisses against his sire's jawline.
He pouted further as he saw the male's face contort with such pain. His fingertips slipped up to touch the male's cheek, touch his face lovingly. "Oooh... Lucien..." He leaned up, and pushed feathered kisses against the male's lips this time. "Don't go on... We can speak of all this later..." He didn't like seeing such a strong man in pain, and to see his sire this way... it pulled at his heartstrings.
Nafretiri - July 19, 2004 09:54 PM (GMT)
Lucien wrapped an arm around Elysium's shoulders, pulling his childe closer to his chest. He put his other hand behind the other's head, his long fingers getting lost in the curls. Opening his eye, his icy blue gaze simply stared for a moment, watching Elysium. Almost without warning, he moved forward that short distance and initiated a deep kiss, as if he were trying to drown out the pain and hurt.
Regretfully pulling away, he pressed Elysium's head to his chest and began to stroke his hair slowly. "Now do you see why I have not spoken of this before? And I have only told you the barest details of my human life," said Lucien quietly, pressing another kiss on Elli's head, in a way that was not paternal. "I thought being a vampire was a gift. I did not see it as a curse."
Thinking, he tried to imagine it as a curse. Strangely, it was not as hard as he had thought, and he wondered what kind of pain he had inflicted on his childe. He wasn't about to ask, not right now. One of the duo being hurt by memories was enough for now, but Lucien wondered if he were any better than the Lord who had owned him.
Ailes Cassées - July 20, 2004 02:25 AM (GMT)
It was so funny to see Elysium go from being so angery, to frustrated, remorse, then a bit of happiness all in such a short time. Though, as it was obvious, Elli was the master of revealing emotion. The kiss... Well... That was nice. He couldn't complain. He returned it just the way it was given to him, if not more so. But all good things come to an end, and this was no exception. He pouted once more, his lips full as he did so.
"Mmm.... Yes... I understand. Thats alright, though, you don't have to say any more." He didn't need to know, did he? It wasn't his business." He gave a sigh though, as he heard the following comment. "Well.... Its different for everyone, then, Lucien...." He answered, leaning against his sire's chest in a relaxed manner.
How long had it been since he had become close to anyone like this? Both physically and mentally? Well... a long time was all he could leave it as. But then again, he had always had feelings for his sire, as he assumed all childer do. Though, it had been a long time, so... Elli eased away slowly, simply sitting as he stared at his sire with his deep hazel eyes.
Nafretiri - July 20, 2004 02:38 AM (GMT)
"Yes, I suppose it is," murmured Lucien, a thoughtful frown on his face. It seemed like such a simple concept to accept, but it was hard for him. Being a vampire had given him the power to get revenge on those who had wronged him, and escape from his previous life. Elli though, he didn't seem to like it. This bothered Lucien.
He watched Elysium withdraw from him, and did nothing to stop his childe. Hazel eyes stared at him, and Lucien stared lazily back, putting a hand behind his head. His long white-blonde hair was spilled around him, and he looked utterly relaxed. Inside, he was in turmoil, and he wondered what had caused the other to pull away.
No better way to find out than to ask.
"Elli, what has disturbed you? Are you having second thoughts? Remembering what a monster I am?" The last sentence came out bitterly, and Lucien turned his gaze to one side. It wouldn't be the first time he'd been called such a thing, but he hoped that this wasn't the case.
Ailes Cassées - July 20, 2004 02:49 AM (GMT)
Elysium gave a sigh, as he nodded, "Of course it is, Lucien.... Otherwise everyone would feel the same way about it." He murred, eyeing the male with those circles of pure hazel. Of course Elli wasn't the same.. He didn't use this nature to get revenge.. he never would, or so he thought.
He blinked idly, his chest expanding as a hard breath was taken in. It wasn't a sigh, it was just one of those deep breaths. He watched closely, that had that moved behind his sire's head, those lengthy locks that framed Lucien's face. "Monster?" He frowned, shaking his head.
"No... Nothing has disturbed me. Its just, its been a very long time since I have seen you last. Thats all.... I don't think of you as a monster, Lucien." He whispered, scooting back so he could relax and recline against the are rest. "I'll always have mixed feelings about you, Lucien. But you're not a monster. You did what you enjoyed...Thats all."
Nafretiri - July 20, 2004 03:05 AM (GMT)
Lucien chuckled but there was no twinkle in his eyes. "It seems that I have lost my ability to keep a companion. Ironically, you were the one I wanted the most." He closed his eyes, black lashes resting against his face. None of the self-contempt he felt showed on his face, and he kept his feature neutral.
"Hmmm, you are one of the few with your ideals that does not think I am a monster. I did - do what I enjoy. My philosophy is, if it makes me happy, it cannot be all that bad," said Lucien, a half smirk on his face and a bit of his ruthlessnes showing through.
He did not mention to Elysium his recent activities involving the corpses of his prey, and he wasn't going to. Those were his passion alone, and his childe probably wouldn't approve of it. Normally, this wouldn't have bothered the confident vampire, but after searching for so long, he wasn't about to tell of his exploits and loose his Elli again.
Ailes Cassées - July 20, 2004 03:21 AM (GMT)
He blinked lightly as he heard his Master's words. "Me? I'm the one you wanted?" He was accually not suprised, but of course, he wasn't to sure how many Lucien had spawned in the first place. He gave a sigh, and leaned back further, his eyes closing. "
"Yes well... I don't nessisarily aprove your morals, Lucien. Your philosophies scare me, this is true." He shook his head gingerly, "But, no. I don't see you as a monster. A devilish fiend with an enormous sly side? Yes." He chuckled, opening an eye to look at the male with a grin, his canines sunken to appear human.
"You and I are both very different. Look at me for instance, Lucien... I am calm, relaxed most of the time, gentle, thirsting for knowledge, but also melancholic. You... You're everything I'm not." He murred, crossing his arms over his chest.

Raising an eyebrow, Lucien opened his eye and looked at Elysium with a grin on his face. "But of course. I did make you didn't I? I had made only one before you, but he was too open with what he was and he was destroyed by the Elders of our race." He sighed. That had been an episode that was not pleasant. "Had I known what a liability he would have been, I never would've gone through all the trouble."
"A devilish fiend, eh?" repeated Lucien. An amused laugh escaped him, and he gave a smile large enough to show off his fangs. "I believe you meant, an extremely charismatic and devilish fiend, but it can be forgiven." His smile was subdued. "Yes, my morals and philosophies leave much to be desired by some people, however they have served me a great many years and I have found no reason to abandon then thus far."
Hearing what Elysium said next, Lucien wasn't sure whether to be insulted or not, but decided on the later. "And what, pray tell, would that make me? According to you, I am beautiful, and my opinion is that you are as well. Surely that is one thing we have in common."
Ailes Cassées - July 20, 2004 03:43 AM (GMT)
"Oh how loving of you to choose little me." He mused, rolling his eyes as he looked around the room, but never preoccupied. "Ahh... So you admit a mistake? Well isn't that a rare thing." He murred, speaking of the other before himself. Elysium never sounded vain, because in all of those would-be-vain comments, was a joking air, "Yes... I am a beauty am I not?"
"Oh yes, I did forget those things didn't I." He chuckled quietly, brushing back a few of his chocolate lock that framed his delicate features. "To be desired? I've have to agree." He frowned, as if scolding the older vampire. "I never liked what you did. The way you handled things. But you were such an angel when we were alone together." He teased, as he knew how much it would annoy his sire.
"What would I make you?" He paused a moment, before laughing, "Did I not just call you a devilish fiend? That is what I would make you. A handsome, daring, suave, obnoxious, claiming fiend." Again he teased, crossing his ankles at the male's side, reclining completely upon the couch.
Nafretiri - July 20, 2004 03:55 AM (GMT)
"Indeed you are," agreed Lucien with an amused expression. His eyes twinkled. "And yes, I do admit my mistake, and yes, it is a rare thing. I cannot help it if I do not make mistakes often. When I do, I own up to them... usually. Some things are not meant to be heard."
"Do not frown at me so," said Lucien, a small smile on his face. He twirled a piece of his long hair with a finger. "An angel?" A slight scowl came across his face. "I would hardly say I was an angel. You, mon cher, were the angel, though you could be quite the devil at times." He paused. "Although if I recall correctly, there were plenty of times when I too was a devil." Lucien smirked, looking pleased.
Shaking a finger at Elli, Lucien chuckled. "I like all those adjectives except the obnoxious one, though I suppose it could be true. Only you could admit it to me, and not have me offended." He removed his hand from his hair and began tracing unfathomable patterns on Elysium's leg with his forefinger.
Ailes Cassées - July 20, 2004 06:26 PM (GMT)
An eyebrow lifted, "You own up to them, do you?" He questioned, his tongue idly dragging over his lips to keep those same lips moist. "I don't think I have ever witnessed that, but I'll take your word for it." He casually mentioned, his eyes half lidded. As for the agreeance to his beauty, he laughed quietly, turning his gaze away momentarily.
Though, of course, he returned his hazel eyes to the figure before him. "Can I not frown?" He questioned, little more then a giggle coming from himself. "Oh... I am, am I? I would hardly agree. Though, I'd agree with you on your part. You were quite the little devil some of the time." A smirk had formed, "I could just imagine you in a tight little red number, with a forked tail, and cute little horns."
Elysium couldn't help but give a sudden laugh as he listened to the man before him, his finger waving, his little chuckle. "You are such a funny man, Lucien......" He mused, purring quietly while taking in the comment. "Oh yes... Well...." He leaned up, and poked the male's nose, "You are obnoxious." A wide grin was spread over his lips before he leaned further and brushed a kiss to the other's lips. That was, of course, before he flopped back down to lay comfortably on the couch, and... have his leg touched.
Nafretiri - August 16, 2004 04:35 AM (GMT)
"Indeed, I do own up to them, but only the really horrid ones," replied Lucien with a smirk, moving around a bit and looking every bit like the gorgeous fiend he considered himself to be. He didn't call himself this out loud of course, but it went without saying in his opinion.
A loud laugh erupted from Lucien when he heard Elysium's comment about the little red number. "I suppose I would look good in such a thing. I have a knack for looking however splendid I wish no matter what I wear. It is a gift, and one I admit to openly." The smirk didn't leave his face as he stated these things, knowing full well how completely arrogant he sounded.
He returned the kiss softly before raising an eyebrow. "Funny, am I? Well, it seems that it's quite unintentional. The other though... I suppose I could be, though I cannot see how. How can one be such a thing when one is perfect?" The teasing glint in his eye showed that he was only joking, though his words held all the conviction that what he was saying, he thought was true.
Ailes Cassées - August 16, 2004 06:26 PM (GMT)
"Oh yes.... Only the really horrid ones." He mimiced, pushing back a few of his dark locks, their shine a soft chocolate. Elli shook his head as he watched his sire move about, "You're so arrogant, Lucien.... But I supposed you wouldn't be yourself if you weren't so cocky." He agreed, leaning back a little ways as if to escape his sire in some form.
A brow was suddenly lifted, "You'd look absolutely devilish in something like that." He smirked, chuckling lightly. "You could be the devil himself, I believe." Elli added in a teasing manner. "Oh, I don't know about that." He paused, while the corners of his mouth curled. "I could think of quite a few things that wouldn't... flatter your figure...aswell as your ego." He purred, folding his hands on his chest as he layed there.
There was a moment of long silence from the youthful vampire as he listened to the male. "Ahh Lucien.." Here it came.. "You have an ego that is inflating not only itself, but your head aswell." This came, too, as a tease. "You are much to full of yourself."
Nafretiri - August 18, 2004 10:47 PM (GMT)
Lucien tapped his chin thoughtfully, flipping some hair out of his face. "The devil himself? Why, I suppose I could be, but I do not know if Satan can feel anything deeper than hate or pleasure, whereas I know I can. There are many emotions I can feel that I'm sure he could not..." He trailed off, focusing his gaze on Elysium, a slight frown overcoming his face.
He did not say what he was thinking, even in private. So profound were these things that they might frighten away his childe dare he say them. So, with a heavy heart, Lucien once again covered up his inner turmoil with a slow smile, hoping that his thoughts and feelings went somewhat unnoticed. After searching for so long, he wasn't about to lose Elli again on something that might mean nothing to his childe.
His eyes twinkled with a wee bit of amusement at the last few comments. "Ah, but for one such as I, an ego is perhaps all they have. Best to fuel it lest other things become unbearable."
Ailes Cassées - August 22, 2004 12:14 AM (GMT)
Elysium smiled as he listened, "Ahh yes..... The devil himself may not, but I'm sure his blissful right hand Sins can do just that. Sloth...... Lust...Vanity." He giggled quietly, and rubbed a hand over his convulsing chest. "Oh, Lucien...." He sighed, relaxing himself.
"Oh, Lucien... somethings bothering you... You never wonder around one small room for this long unless there's something on your mind." He murred quietly, tinkering with a few of his locks that tickled his cheeks. He seemed a bit bashful suddenly. "Why don't you sit down... Tell me whats wrong." He warmed his words, coaxing and delicate.
He ignored the part about the ego, because now, he was to busy trying to get Lucien to relax, and ease up to him. He sat himself up, and patted the cushion beside himself, while cocking his head to the side like a waiting puppy, looking for attention. All this was trailed with, "You know I don't bite that hard."
Nafretiri - August 22, 2004 04:00 AM (GMT)
Lucien simply stared at his childe, not blinking, and taking in the whole of the other man's profile. He watched the way Elli played with his hair, and the look in his eye when he was teasing. Sitting up, he didn't move his gaze, and yet, the man didn't say anything either. Again, the slight frown caused hard lines to be etched into his normally smooth face.
Without a hint of warning, the older vampire reached out his hands and wrapped his arms around Elysium, holding him tight to his chest. He laid his head atop the other's, taking in the smooth scent that he used to know so well. He closed his eyes and sighed.
"I would tell you, but I think you might not want to hear what I have to say, and frankly, I am not even sure I can will myself to say it. I do not think I could bear it if you were to look at me that way..."
Ailes Cassées - August 22, 2004 06:41 PM (GMT)
The young immortal blinked as he watched Lucien become so quiet, just standing there studying him, while he studied back. All this was making Elysium a bit nervous to say the least, especially as he saw those hard lines creasing his sire's face. He rested his hands in his lap, fingers clutching one another as he waited anxiously for something, anything to happen until.....
Elli jumped slightly as he was enveloped by the other's arms. "L-Lucien!" After a few settling moments, a heavy sigh of relief was shuttered from him. "...Lucien..." He whispered, taking the opportunity to lightly nuzzle at the elder's chest.
Now it was Elysium's time to frown, his eyes narrowing, and though he seemed upset he made no move to pull away from his sire. "Lucien.... Please tell me." He insisted. He wasn't going to give up so easily. And now he was determined to know just what was on Lucien's mind. "I promise I wont be upset with you." He added, giving the other a sincere glance.

((OOC: Just to let you know... major fluffiness ahead. =/ ))
Lucien caught the younger man's glance, and sighed, preparing himself to say what needed to be said. He let out a large sigh, causing his bangs to quiver slightly. He closed his eyes, determination etched on his ashen face, before he opened them, revealing an anguished and lustful gaze. He was not crying, no, but if there had ever been a time when he had looked needy in front of another immortal, this was it.
His right hand moved to Ellysium's face. With the tips of his fingers, he brushed along every part of his childe's face, whether to reasure him that there was indeed another person there, or simply to remember, none could absolutely be sure, not even himself. Finally, he cupped the other's cheek and Lucien laid his forehead against his childe's, uttering one phrase very quietly.
"Elli... stay with me.
((OOC: Told ya.))
Ailes Cassées - August 24, 2004 06:50 PM (GMT)
The younger of the two seemed weary, and confused as the other watched him, touched him, looked into him with those eyes. He remained still, statueque as he sat there, oblivious to what was to be said, but only aware that what ever it was, was important... at least to Lucien anyway. The sigh had been heard, and taken account of, aswell as the sudden neediness that was layed out plain as day upon his sire's face.
He inturn sighed, his eyelids drooping to give a sorrowed look, even if that was not what he wished to portray. He leaned, very slightly, into the hand on his face, as if to reassure his elder that he was listening, and enjoying the touch, rather then recoiling from it. "Lucien...." He quietly whispered the name, before he heard what was said.....
~W-What?!~ He would not say this aloud, no, for it would hurt his sire to much if he did. He was in shock! After being away for so long, his master was asking him this? Was Lucien just needy, and wanton of company? Or was there a deeper meaning to all this madness... Elysium couldn't tell. Nor could he sort it all out. He went silent, and lowered his gaze.
"Alright, Lucien.........." Was the last that he said.
Nafretiri - August 27, 2004 12:21 AM (GMT)
Lucien regarded his childe carefully. While he wasn't known for being the most observant person when it came to people's emotions, he did have an artist's eye for detail, and he had tuned his senses to know when people weren't saying what they felt. This seemed to be one of those times, and although that hurt him greatly, he decided he must confront it. The last thing he wanted was to make Elysium uhappy... again, apparently.
Placing two hands on the other man's face, making sure that he was looking, Lucien said, "Is that what you really want?" His pain showed again for a moment, but he gave a short shake of the head, and it seemed to almost evaporate entirely. There was however, a small part of it left that would go unnoticed save if someone was looking for it. "I don't wish you to come with me because you pity me. I heard the hesitation in your voice."
Letting his hands drop, the older of the two stood up and paced around the room for a few moments. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully, and his gaze was placed anywhere but on his companion. Running his hand through his hair, he gave an annoyed sigh, though whether it was at himself or not was tough to figure out.
"I want you with me Elli, not so I can own you. Please know this. I love you..." He let out a strangled laugh. "If you believe me capable of it. I want you with me, but I will not force you to. Understand though, that I will not give up so easily. If you truly do not want to come with me at this point in time, I will make it my goal to woo you over to me."
Ailes Cassées - August 29, 2004 10:22 PM (GMT)
My, my... How the tables had suddenly shifted. Elysium was no longer the needy one, the one sorrowful, and secretly wishing for company. This was all definately strange for him, and for all this to come from Lucien's lips was a complete and utter shock, putting him in a silence of contemplation. The question came, firstly, but he ignored that, and asked his own- "How long did you spend, looking for me, Lucien?" This was something he obviously had to know before making a decision, "And please don't lie to me, I can see it on your face when you do."
He was, to say the least, utterly confused. "I do not pity you, Lucien..... I never have, and never will." Something which he stood by firmly, because of course, he still had just a hint of contempt for his Sire about the way things went so long ago. He watched as Lucien stood, and paced, and sighed. This was all acounted for, and written down in the small log book of his brilliant mind.
His eyelids batted fiercly, as he was now even more stunned. "You.... love me?" That was very unexpected. "No, no, no..... I do believe you capable of it, Lucien.." He corrected, though still a bit curious as to all of this. He hushed as he heard the rest, finding the fact that his sire would continue to 'woo' him if he did not come, very romantic. A small smile, this a rare thing in the past few moments, curled up. He tilted his head, with that smile, and said, "Maybe, Lucien, you're not as cold hearted, as I made you out to be...."
Nafretiri - August 31, 2004 12:40 AM (GMT)
This was something that embarrassed Lucien for one reason or another. To think that he'd been chasing after his childe when it was this very childe that had been trying to elude him. "I spent a decade without you, thinking that I would be fine; that I didn't need anyone. It was after that that I realized that I missed you terribly, and I started my search under the guise of traveling the world. I would stop in various cities, but never for very long."
The man had to stop the scoff that came up. While he may never have been pitied by this individual, there were certainly many more who did. More who did than didn't as it were, at least among those who didn't know him. Once they did, Lucien made sure there was never any sign of it.
"Or perhaps I am, but only you make it melt. I only realized my love after you left, and that is the reason I searched."
((OOC: Sorry, it's crappy. ))
