Title: Drinks on the House
Description: Open

Silver Wolf19 - November 24, 2008 01:26 AM (GMT)
Janie gave a smile, lifting her glass as if in toast to her friend who seemed to have accomplished her goals for the night.

Get Drunk?
Check.

Go Dance with some guy who probably wants to take you home?
Check.

Leave your friend to suffer alone in misery because she hates clubs?
Check.

Well okay, so the last one really hadn't been on her list, but a plus b usually equals c doesn't it? Well at least in this case it did. She hated clubs, crowds and things like that simply because she hated being around so many people and having the chance that someone might know who she was. Sure her adds were only in a few magazines now, but there were some real weirdos out there, as her father was constantly reminding her of.

At least they seemed to all be inside tonight, the one good thing that she kept reminding herself of.

She tried to keep herself upbeat though, sipping at her water with lemon and focusing more on the music than the sex-crazed, alcohol-driven world around her. It was almost as if inside the doors to the club, nothing else really seemed to matter, and while you were in here as if nothing else even existed. She'd seen a couple over in one corner making out to the point where they might as well have been having sex. There were others slobbering over each other in various booths and couches around the lounge area.

Granted it would have been nice to have someone to talk to... But well, she had a feeling that no one in under this roof would actually just want to talk with her and not try something else.

Pandora Lorrain - January 10, 2009 02:41 PM (GMT)
Eamon didn't much like the Bar scene, he liked the casino well enough, but Chi had insisted that he go do something and stop pestering her. It wasn't like she didn't like him, but she was bound to find him a little annoying. He had been bored out of his mind and he hadn't been pestering her, just asking if he could do something for her. After the tenth time or so, she had given him the evil eye and told him to get out of her apartment before she killed him. So dutifully and not wanting to die, he had stepped out and had tried to interest himself in the nightlife, yet so far after the third place, he had still no interest.

All women had thrown themselves at him and he had pushed them away saying that he was doing a survey. He hadn't told them what the survey was, but he was pretty sure that he had enough data to complete a survey on the amount of women that were willing to throw themselves at you if they were drunk. He knew that he was a good-looking man, he was a vampire for crying out loud but still everyone wanted some peace and quiet, despite the fact that it was ironic that he searched for such a thing at a nightclub.

He tossed his drink back and turned to look at the crowd squirming on the floor. His pale eyes narrowed, is this what they called dancing? It was a most grotesque way to dance, he decided. Besides it was a dance floor not a bed. Sex was much better in bed not anywhere else. Well perhaps there was exceptions to that. He shook his head and his dark long hair shimmered in the light. Mortal of this century were weird.

Silver Wolf19 - January 10, 2009 05:18 PM (GMT)
Looking around, she saw a man at the table next to her shake his head as if in disapproval of what he saw. And of course he was looking out at the dance floor. Well now. That was an odd sight indeed. Maybe this was someone she could just talk to. He didn't seem to be absorbed by the hormones and frenzy that swept through the club. That alone wasn't the big thing... But he was... Well... Too good looking to be on his own. But if she'd been with him, she knew she wouldn't be able to stop looking at his face. As it was, only the thought of attracting another female's vengeance wasn't on her list of things to do.

So she looked away politely, pushing back the urge to talk to him.

Waiting, Janie didn't notice anyone else make their way over to him so....

Hesitantly she moved over a few seats, still a respectable distance from him, but enough where they should be able to hear each other.

"So... All the great looking guys I've ever met are gay or taken. And since you don't really look the first, your girlfriend's not going to try to kill me for talking to you is she?" She asked, a grin on her face.

Morrigan - January 10, 2009 06:48 PM (GMT)
Morrigan held back a chuckle, which came out as a sort of sneer instead, unfortunately. The woman across the bar had tossed at a line to a vampire nearby. The old vampiress had seated herself in the perfect spot. She could see and hear all, but the shadows of the bar's corners hid her decently. Mortals do not notice the shadows.

As far as mortal women go, this one might have a chance. Lucky vamp, Morrigan thought. Men did not tend to throw themselves at her, much less drop lines. She could never seem to get rid of her "stay away" face or the painful death glare of her ancient eyes. She might as well have tatooed "f*** off" on her forehead.

She watched, guessing at what the male vampire would do next. Would he just push her away like he the others or was he hungry enough to take her.

Pandora Lorrain - January 11, 2009 12:29 AM (GMT)
Eamon watched as the woman approached and kept the sigh and annoyance off his face. He would be polite and chivalrous, he was knight, well had been a knight and was willing to let her off lightly. Damn be his good looks and the fact that he was too polite for his ow good. Why did women insist on talking to him? He glanced over to the older vampire that sat across the bar from him. He wondered what she was doing here, with the look that she had on her face and in her eyes, wouldn't make anyone step towards her. It wouldn't be easy to hunt and he decided that his good looks and charm helped him that much.

A small smile graced his face as he turned towards her. He laughed deeply, somewhat amused. He leaned towards her slightly and whispered into her ear. "Well my dear, it would seem that on this very night, I am very much alone." His voice was dark and sensuous, creating a spell of dark promises that he would keep. He leaned away and looked at her, his pale green eyes looking into her own, a small questioning smile on his lips.

Silver Wolf19 - January 11, 2009 12:44 AM (GMT)
"Mm." She nodded, knowing what he meant at the amused tone. She was used to guys trying to flirt, so she tuned out the tone to his voice, the way he whispered. But damn was it hard.

"I know what you mean." She said looking back out on the 'dance' floor towards her friend who was with a different guy at the moment. "I'm just here. Designated driver really. She's the one with the need to... Well... I'm not sure what to call it anymore." Janie rolled her eyes.

"But I guess if guys are only after sex, then it's better off to be alone." She added, as if warning him about his previous tone of voice. "Guys have always been trouble as far as I'm concerned. You're kinda strange though. A guy like you not out there being swarmed by women? Makes me... curious." She said turning away, taking a sip of her water.

Pandora Lorrain - January 11, 2009 12:59 AM (GMT)
Eamon stopped the grin from spreading to his face. She was a strong one, granted that he had no power of persuasion but his voice was still like soft velvet and was as soft as it, when it brushed your skin. He turned his face to eye the same friend and was hard pressed to hold in a snicker. Women were really too loose this time in age, they could be a danger to society.

He lifted an eyebrow as he looked at her. "Designated driver? You don't say." He had his car parked one block away, Chi had given him her pass and had explained to him where it worked, before she politely, but firmly kicked him out. So he had a first class parking space with a fancy car that had alarms built in and it was really convenient, not that he needed a car, but he liked them. If there wasn't such bad weather outside, he would have used his motorcycle, but he couldn't everything, especially in the middle of winter.

He chuckled. "Of course guys are trouble, trouble is part of what makes us, guys. We are meant to cause a bit of trouble, or else where would the fun in life be." He shrugged. "I don't like drunk women and I made that quite clear in the past. Some of the female here, remember me and remember the person I was with. She's not someone that your want to cross, but then again she isn't here tonight. People simply don't forget."

Silver Wolf19 - January 11, 2009 05:54 AM (GMT)
"Oh, I drink, but unfortunately I can't drink too much in public. I get a little... Rowdy when I drink." She said with a chuckle. "So I"m only aloud to drink when certain people are around to... Hmm... Contain? Control? One of those words would work." Last time she had to pay for a few things she'd damaged irreparably. And she wasn't allowed back there either.

But her grin turned into a smirk as he told her that he was with someone. Well now she knew he was off limits, even though she hadn't really actively been thinking about him like that before

"Aaah. So she's just not here, but she would get mad if she saw me talking to you, even if I had no interest in you in any other way than someone to chat with." Pity really... It would have been nice to have someone to talk to. But she wasn't about to get in between people in a relationship, no matter how crazy it seemed. If she was the jealous type, she didn't want to make any waves.

She looked him over again before turning away. Major pity...

He was good looking, charming and probably knew really how to treat a woman in more ways than one. But he wouldn't be with a woman, or at least say he was with a woman if he didn't love her. She glanced around the bar... But everyone was either with someone.... Or had "Stay Away" tattooed to one part o their anatomy or another.

((Oh, and Morrigan, I'm not ignoring you on purpose, she's just kinda.... Focused at the moment :-P ))

Pandora Lorrain - January 11, 2009 03:09 PM (GMT)
Eamon chuckled and grab her arm lightly, pulling her back. "I'm not with her, I'm a body guard and she tends to get testy if someone bothers me. I think that she would approve of you, you aren't the typical drunk woman in a bar and you tend to know your limitations, when it comes to alcohol." He didn't want her to leave they were having such a lovely conversation, well as lovely as it could be, despite their surroundings.

"Please don't go. I was enjoying your company, truthfully." He had actually found someone to keep him busy and she was interesting. It was refreshing to talk to someone that wasn't millenias older than he was. It made him realize the difference between the centuries but also it made him want to be part of this time, this century. Even though he was nicely dressed with his black pants and pale green button up shirt and the style that his hair was in was also old fashioned. So he may look like he was part of a different century but he thought that he could fit in nicely here.

Silver Wolf19 - January 11, 2009 03:36 PM (GMT)
She paused as he grabbed her arm, going stiff as he pulled her back. She didn't like people grabbing her. Especially people she didn't know. She pulled her arm back quickly, and though his grip was light it was still strong. This guy was far stronger than he looked or let on.

Maybe it hadn't been such a good idea to talk to him.

She wasn't scared just yet. There were still lots of people around and she was sure that if he did try something he could get someone's attention before he got too far.

"Bodyguard huh?" She said stiffly, not too into the conversation anymore.

"Well I'm only different because I don't drink in public. I I was at home or with a friend, things would be different." She admitted. After all, the few times she had sex, barring the first time, she'd been so drunk that she hardly remembered the next morning. It was never with a random stranger though, so she had at least that much over other women. Sex was usually Alex's way of keeping her from killing someone or trying to find someone who pissed her off and beating them half to death.

"I've been known to do rather.... Weird things when I get drunk, so don't count me out of the 'typical drunk woman's' club yet." She said with a slight smile, still hesitant. He hadn't tried to be aggressive or anything yet, just stronger than he looked. But it was still reason enough to be wary.

Pandora Lorrain - January 11, 2009 04:31 PM (GMT)
Eamon could feel her pull away and he let her go immediately. He wasn't going to brutalize her, despite the fact that he could probably snap her in half. It was a good thing that he didn't have these tendencies and that he liked the company of mortals.

He eyed her and knew that something had put her off. He wasn't sure what it was that had put her off, perhaps it was his strength. "Yes bodyguard." He hesitated for a second and then continued. "Listen I'm sorry, I obviously did something that you didn't appreciate. I just didn't want you to run off, we were having a very decent and nice conversation." He thought they were and he could now guess that she had felt the strength of his arms when he had reached out and grabbed.

"Weird things? Weirder than other drunk women? Well then that would put you off the norm, wouldn't it?" He wasn't an aggressive man per say, he was simply a man that was able to defend himself when he needed to. He wouldn't hurt a mortal woman, that simply wasn't his style.

Silver Wolf19 - January 11, 2009 04:46 PM (GMT)
"I don't like people grabbing me. Especially people I don't know." She said, sitting once more, making sure she was out of arms reach of him as if to make things clear. But that was only part of it. But his apology made her relax slightly. He seemed earnest enough about it, and it seemed he hadn't tried to scare her or anything like that.

"Yeah, I guess it would though. But it's probably not a good thing though." She said thoughtfully. "Or at least not the way that I respond to most things isn't good." She gave a little shrug. Perhaps a lack of female influence in her life had made her the way she was, but she didn't care. It was who she was and she didn't really mind. She was happy just the way she was.

With a sigh she looked out at the dance floor again. "It might be interesting to show you, but well, tonight's not the best night to do that."

Pandora Lorrain - January 11, 2009 05:10 PM (GMT)
Eamon nodded noticing how she stayed out of arm's reach. Granted it didn't make that much of a difference, if he put his mind to it he would grab her and haul her off before her mind even registered that he had moved. He wouldn't do that though, he had better manners than that and respected that she wanted some distance.

Eamon shrugged. "I respect the fact that you know your limits and you know how you react when you drink too much. It shows that you know how much to drink before you go too far. It shows strength of character and that you kinda know who you are." He had trouble believing that someone could know who they were completely, he doubted that he even had a true inkling of who he was. He knew who he had been, but the person he was today was a completely different story.

Eamon smiled. "Then perhaps you could show me some other time. I wouldn't want you to go against the fact that you are a designated driver."

Silver Wolf19 - January 11, 2009 05:33 PM (GMT)
"I'm always the designated driver out." She sighed, rolling her eyes.

"So who do you work for? You said you're a bodyguard right? Must be someone important then." She asked as she took a sip of her water again.

She wanted to find out more about him... If she was going to get drunk around him she had to know him. Would he be one to take advantage of her in her suggestible state? Would he be one to keep her under control like her friends did or would he just let her run rampant around wherever they were.

"You the twenty-four seven type or just for special occasions? And if you don't have a relationship with this woman, why would she be mad if you were... distracted when you were off duty?" She asked with a grin.

Morrigan - January 18, 2009 07:54 AM (GMT)
((No problem! I was busy for a few days anyway. ^.^))

Morrigan grinned when the male vampire glanced her way. No need to pretend she was not there.

The conversation was a little amusing. More interesting than the usual drunk man hits on drunk woman scenario or the thirsty vampire tricks mortal story either. The old vamp was watching the interaction between the two longer than she would normally watch two people chat.

The male might not actually be hunting. The female seemed to be at loss of what to do with herself. Quite unhappy, Morrigan judged. Of course, being able to hear the conversation from across the bar in a noisy place really helped her judgement.

She was just wondering what would happen next when a young, intoxicated man bumped into her, spilling his rum and coke all over her back. First instinct was to turn around faster than her could pour the second half of the drink. Second instinct was to hold back and act natural.

"Ah...damn," the man said, stumbling around, "I'm sorry...ma..'am!" He smirked at her like a little child stealing gum at the drug store. "Sothry."

Morrigan held back the urge to rip his face off as she rose to pull off the coat she happened to be wearing. Now, her many battle tattoos that she decided not to cover that night seemed to glow in club lights. Despite her size, this frightened the lad. His grin faded and he clung to the nearest friend. Tossing her coat over the stool, she really wished he would not have done that. The long sleeves were doing a fine job covering the ancient, odd markings.

"Watch your step next time," she told him, her tone leaving no mistake for anything but a serious warning. Sighing, she counted to ten in her head. Yes, ancients can lose their temper, too.

Silver Wolf19 - January 19, 2009 03:24 AM (GMT)
A slight disturbance just over the sound of the noise came from the bar and she glanced over quickly. Things like that happened all the time. It wasn't really anything new... She was hoping that it would turn into a fight, but nothing of the sort.

Damn... Well this night was going to be boring...

Janie was itching to dance, really dance with someone. She wanted to be down there in that crowd, feeling the people around her. She hated being such a shut in just because she was rather rough after drinking. But Still! Why wouldn't any guy want to be in a ten foot radius of her just because she had a glass of water? She wanted contact just like every other woman...

Sighing she let her head hit the table as she blankly stared out onto the dance floor, her arm draping over her head as if to block out the noise.

"I hate myself sometimes..." She muttered almost too quiet to hear herself.

Pandora Lorrain - January 19, 2009 03:50 AM (GMT)
Eamon watched as the damage was done to the older vampire's coat and felt a momentary pang of pity for the poor soul. The vampiress seemed like the type of woman that would rip someone's head off if they damaged anything that belonged to them. When nothing happened he relaxed, everything was alright, the ancient wasn't going to take retribution.

He turned to the mortal that he had been talking to and saw her head drop against the bar and he winced in sympathy. He followed her gaze and he saw the dance floor. He wanted to sigh yet he held it in. He wasn't much of a dancer, but he was a knight at heart and knights were supposed to be gallant and chivalrous. So he would sacrifice himself to please the lady by his side. "Do you want to dance?" He had watched the dance floor and wasn't fond of their kind of dancing but could very well accomplish it with more grace and flair then anyone here.

Silver Wolf19 - January 19, 2009 03:57 AM (GMT)
Janie picked up her head as he spoke, his invitation to dance ringing clear in her ears somehow.

Well... She had to admit that she was pretty easy to read at times, and irritation was probably the most easily read. "Huh? Oh... Uh... I don't dance that.... um... vulgar I guess would be the word." But she had to admit being on the floor with this handsome man would really perk up the evening...

She found her mind wandering, a small smile creeping on to her lips.

But Janie shook her head, snapping herself out of her daydream. "Well are you going to answer my questions first?"

Pandora Lorrain - January 24, 2009 02:09 AM (GMT)
She didn't dance vulgar? He couldn't help but allow a smile to grace his face at that. He liked the way she phrased it, though he would have loved to dance simply one dance with her. It was hard to keep with the times if someone didn't show him the moves. "I'm only asking for one dance and if it isn't here, perhaps one night at the casino. They have these dances which are not vulgar at all."

24/7 type? What type was that? He'd have to ask. "I wasn't off duty that was the first problem and the second was that my mistress knows that I deserve better than a one night stand. She remains convinced that I deserve something better. Besides I don't much like drunk women. If I'm going to spend the night with someone I would want them to remember." He gave her a smile. "So what is a 24/7 type?"

Silver Wolf19 - January 24, 2009 02:24 AM (GMT)
"Casino? Oh! The Ace High. I've heard of the place. Never been there. Heard it was pretty cool though. If that's where you work I could stop by sometime. Say hi and check the place out." She said with a smile.

"Mistress huh? That's a bit of an odd term. Wouldn't you call her your boss though?" She asked with a smile. "But me, I probably wouldn't remember much after being drunk... But one of my friends said I'm a lot of fun." She said with a grin.

"But twenty-four seven. You know. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, non stop. But I guess since you're off duty now, that would answer that question." She moved closer, the chair next to him. It was better to hear that was all. Or so she told herself.

"But what does your Boss say you deserve? And do you always listen to her?" She said with a grin.

Pandora Lorrain - January 24, 2009 08:18 PM (GMT)
Eamon grinned at her. "Do you know of any other grand casino. Yeah the Ace High. I'm a VIP member there, so no I don't work there. I am part of a private business that is owned by an important Chinese family." So it didn't belong to a Chinese family, but a single old vampire that ran the entire operation like a benevolent godfather figure. She ruled and that was simply the way it was. His being a body guard was just for show, she was more than entirely capable of taking care of herself.

Eamon shrugged. "Boss or mistress would mean the same thing in the end. It's simply now that mistress is known as a derogatory term. Mistress Chi prefers it, I do not argue with the people that hire me. I simply do as I'm told, there is less problems that way."

He shrugged his shoulders. "I trust her judgment, she is very good at reading people. Do I listen? Of course I do. Do I do as she says? Rarely, I tend to be stubborn and besides sometimes I want to do whatever I want, rather than what is proper. She knows that eventually I will come around to seeing her way, I often do. Just in my own time." He glanced to the dance floor. "You sure that you don't want to dance?"

Silver Wolf19 - January 24, 2009 08:41 PM (GMT)
She wasn't bored anymore really. But this guy had sure made her curious. And well, she did want to have some fun even if it wasn't what most people would think of. Grinning she moved again, slipping on to his lap so she was straddling him. "Dance? Nah... I don't think so. I've got a better idea." She said with a chuckle, moving closer.

"You do what you want... Rather than just what's proper...." She said with a smile, pressing closer to him. Sometimes it was just fun to get a rile out of guys. And if this one got so riled up and wouldn't care for no as an answer... How could she resist?

"Please... Then a guy like you would have women all over him. All the time." She said, her fingers moving to play with a strand of his hair.

"Why don't you? And don't tell me that it's just your boss. Because she's not keeping me from you now. And I think that if you didn't want her too... Even later she wouldn't." She grinned playfully.

Pandora Lorrain - January 24, 2009 09:00 PM (GMT)
Eamon raised an eyebrow as she slipped into his lap. It was a good thing that he wasn't a player, he could wreak real havoc with the heart of women. Instead he was willing to give each one their worth. He allowed a closed lip smile to dance across his face. Did she want to play with him? That could end up being dangerous for her, simply as that he had a chance of making not want anyone else ever.

He brought his mouth close to her ear. "What if I don't want women all over me all the time? What if I only want the one that is sitting in my lap right now? What if I enjoy sometimes spending time alone?" His hot breath brushed her ear and he leaned closer to her and nipped at her lobe, gently. "I don't want anyone to keep you from me. Now you are stuck with me, at least for the rest of the night."

Silver Wolf19 - January 24, 2009 09:15 PM (GMT)
She was enjoying the playfulness, until he brought his lips close to her ear. His breath on her neck. Her heart stopped, then started pounding fast as his words clicked slowly into place.

"You don't even know me..." She whispered, her voice not as strong as she was hoping it would be. Her body shivered, a sigh escaping as he nipped at her ear lobe. "W-What if I don't want to be stuck with you... Hmm? That is illegal you know. Kidnapping and all that." She said, no where near as object to the idea as her words should have seen.

"Besides, what are you going to do with me captured and all that hm?" She said with a grin, her hands moving to his shoulders, her eyes closing slightly.

Pandora Lorrain - January 24, 2009 09:37 PM (GMT)
Eamon grinned. "Well my dear, one night stands are good because you don't need to know the person." He continued to grin and leaned into her neck. "Well if you didn't want to be stuck with me, you wouldn't be sitting in my lap." It was obvious to him. If you wanted someone you tried to get their attention and she had his attention completely and uniquely. He was very interested in this woman that was sitting in his lap.

He kissed her neck, placing soft kisses across her neck, before reaching that place where the shoulder and the neck connected and nipped at the muscle, keeping every touch that he gave her gentle and wanting. He knew that eventually she would cave in. The question was would she fight it or simply let it happen.

"I haven't decided what I'm going to do with you yet, but whatever it is, you will enjoy it very much." He knew exactly where to brush his mouth, where to let his fingers skim, she would love every bit of it and if she didn't enjoy it, he would move to better things.

Silver Wolf19 - January 24, 2009 09:59 PM (GMT)
Her heart was beating erratically, afraid that she might be having a problem. After all, it was hard to breath right now.

Well, she did have a problem. She'd meant to be having just a little fun, but it seemed as if she hadn't really sized him up right before jumping on to his lap. She definitely made a mistake. His words, the soft threat of things to come made her shiver. He would certainly follow through, and she probably would like it just as he said...

"No... I... I shouldn't." She tried to pull away without any success as her body shivered yet again.

Janie tried again with more success, mild success anyway, falling to the floor. She shook her head, trying to clear her head of whatever he'd managed to do to her. "I... Sorry... I didn't mean to give you that impression or anything." She said with a frown, standing up. "I'm not one for one night stands... It's just not me okay..." She stood there, not sure what to do. Go to another table? Sit down at the chair were she was? She didn't know....

Pandora Lorrain - January 25, 2009 06:09 PM (GMT)
Eamon laughed lightly as she fell out of his lap straight onto the floor. She really hadn't thought this through he could tell. She thought that he would be a little more laid back. When someone played a game with him, he was completely committed to it. So when it came to the game of lust, he could commit to it completely.

He continued to look at her with amusement. "Please sit, we were having a nice conversation." Despite their misunderstanding, or her not sizing him up properly, he still wanted to spend time with her. Besides perhaps there was a way to prove to her that he was interested in something more that a one night stand. "I have a better idea, how about we go for a walk, get some fresh air, out of this heated place?" If she wanted to stay, they would. He simply thought that she would prefer somewhere where she could clear her head.

Silver Wolf19 - January 25, 2009 06:25 PM (GMT)
With a reluctant sigh she sank back into the chair she'd been in before she moved to his lap, the one closest to him.

But as he said they should go for a walk she frowned. "Sorry, don't take this the wrong way, but the last place I would want to be at this exact moment is somewhere alone with you." It wasn't that she trusted him any less than any other guy, it was just that she couldn't trust herself around him. If there was one guy who could possibly tempt her somewhere she shouldn't be...

It would be him.

"So... If you don't mind, we could move to one of the back areas, but I'd rather stay here. Plus I gotta keep an eye on my friend ya know." She said with a casual shrug, trying to loosen her shoulders. She was more tense than what she really needed to be.

Pandora Lorrain - January 25, 2009 07:00 PM (GMT)
Eamon inclined his head. She didn't want to be alone with him, that he could understand. He could remember the beat of her heart and the shortness of breath and he had known that he was getting to her. So perhaps staying in the bar limited his possibilities, but it didn't get rid of all of them. He would be courteous and kind, pushing away the memory of what she had felt like against him. It was a sensation that he had missed, feeling a warm body press against his own and he desperately missed it.

Again he inclined his head as she mentioned her friend. Of course he had completely forgotten about her. She was thoughtful and was the designated driver, he had to remember that. He leaned a little bit closer to her, not enough for his breath to brush her ear, but enough that she would be able to hear. "So where is your friend?"

Silver Wolf19 - January 25, 2009 07:21 PM (GMT)
"I promise. It's not like I don't trust you. Really. But I don't really.... Well... Trust myself. Not around you anyway. And I'm not going to get into those one night things, end up pregnant and have no clue who my 'baby's daddy' is." She said with a roll of her eyes. "We don't need any more drama in the world you know."

Why had she told him that? Why had she... Why had she just explained everything to him?

Well that was why she was afraid of him. Because if he asked her to do anything... She would be hard pressed not to dive right in. And she seriously didn't want to be waking up in a strange bed by herself with a note telling her that he had to go to work early. The one time that had happened, oh still hated herself for falling for that guy.

"Oh, she just out on the floor, drunk as a skunk..." She jerked her head to the floor. She couldn't see her, but she had to be in the crowd somewhere.

Eamon was surprised that she actually volunteered the information freely. He never would have said that if he had been in her shoes, because now he could use that against her. He wouldn't be too harsh on her, but he really wanted her to respond to what he did. He wondered if he could convince her to kiss him. "Pregnant? If only I could have kids..." As many vampires he was completely sterile and kids were impossible unless he turned someone, that was the only way that he could have children.

Besides if she did come home with him, he wouldn't simply allow her to wake up in his bed alone. That was stupid, Chi would be more than understanding that he had someone else to bother besides herself. And again Chi didn't really need him, it was all for appearances. Only if she wanted to look the part of a very rich woman did she need a retinue of guards. Dmitri on his own was intimidating enough, but she would often ask for Eamon to come as well. He could do distance damage and could be effective against many opponents at once. "How about we got to a booth, one of them just freed up."

"Hah, right. Nice one." She said rolling her eyes. Like she was going to ever believe that. Guys would say anything to get out of wearing a condom, she knew that from experience too.

"But even if I could be sure of that, there are still plenty of reason why one-night stands are a really bad idea." She said simply, conversationally. "STD's, emotional issues, jealous ex or current girlfriends...." She trailed off, waving her hand slightly. "I could go on for a while longer if you want me too. But the list was more so for herself. After all, if he got his foot in the door, so to speak, she'd be in trouble. One little hesitation, one little string of doubt and she'd be all over him again.

Well if she knew that, why wasn't she somewhere else? Why didn't she stay away from him?

Because you're being an idiot...

Yep... that was the real answer.

And it wasn't just his gorgeous face or his fantastic body that kept her attention... There was something else. Something else that was enticing, yet dangerous all at once. And she'd been around guys with that dangerous vibe before and she'd been able to ignore them all.

Why not this one?

Because you're being an idiot...

Again... That was the right answer....

"Sure..." She mumbled reluctantly. Well at least with a booth there would be a table between them... Good thing? Bad thing? She couldn't decided.... And that was a bad thing. She wanted to run out of the damn building screaming. Or punch him or something just to keep him away. Maybe she should have gotten drunk... Then it would have been all but impossible for him to get her into bed. That feat could only be done by one guy after all.

She moved to the free booth and slipped into one side, leaning back against the wall and turning her head away from where he now sat. Ugh....

"So. Are you ever going to tell me your name?" She asked with a frown.

Pandora Lorrain - January 26, 2009 03:42 PM (GMT)
She didn't believe him, that much was clear, but Eamon didn't care. The chance that they would get in bed now, seemed slim to none, so should it worry him that she didn't believe him. He didn't think so, then again she didn't know that he was a vampire.

He shrugged and shook his head. He didn't agree with her. "One night stands are also a very amazing way too release unwanted stress. You can't simply say that they only have bad sides. Everything had two sides to it, absolutely everything, sometimes it's simply harder to find." There were more benefits but he could no think of them. He was sure that if she argued, he would be able to find them all and perhaps even out number the disadvantages to one night stands.

He watched her as he followed her to the booth and wondered briefly what she was thinking. He would do anything to have empathy to at least know what she was feeling, unfortunately that did not lie in his powers. He sat across from her, giving her some space and raised an eyebrow as she mentioned that she didn't know his name. So she had been ready to jump him, without even knowing his name? That made him smile. "I'm Eamon and you are?"

Silver Wolf19 - January 26, 2009 07:15 PM (GMT)
"Ah, but that doesn't mean there won't be regret afterwords." She said with a slight smile. "I guess I've never been a big fan of the 'use them and lose them' philosophy." She said with a shrug. "Revenge, jealousy, stress, anger... Those shouldn't be a basis for sex... Now lust... Desire and passion... Those usually don't end up as bad per se... So long as everyone involved understands it's just a curiosity thing, or a chance to 'try the forbidden fruit' as it were."

Was this what this was going to turn in to? A man so physically desirable he had to have someone waiting somewhere for him... It wasn't like women to just let a man like this go out alone... If they were together, she doubted if she'd hardly let him leave her sigh.

Not out of jealousy of course. But just because she wouldn't want to be out of his reach ever...

"Eamon? That's.... A rather unusual name." She mused, looking at him with a slight tilt to her head. Where's it from?"

Pandora Lorrain - January 28, 2009 05:11 PM (GMT)
Eamon quirked an eyebrow. "I wasn't going to imply that stress would be the only way to release a certain amount of stress, I was implying rather that it can help release stress, instead of causing it. Of course you need desire and lust, mutual attraction usually helps as well. A little bit of anger, I've heard can be very stimulating. Of course that is not what I prefer, lust and desire is enough for me." He tilted his head a little as he watched her. "You don't want to taste the forbidden fruit or have you already had it and have no interest of trying it again?" Eamon didn't sleep around, but he was a man after all that wouldn't mind a roll in the hay so to speak.

Eamon shrugged. "My mother was an archaeologist and she loved the old English language and decided to name me Eamon. I like it because it's unusual." He had been more of his mother's son than his father's. That was to be expected, he was the fourth son and his father was king. The only time that his father had taken in interest in him was when his son was sword fighting. He had gotten really good at it.

"Forbidden Fruit." She asked with a grin. "Well what I meant by that was there's something they've never tried before, or something they shouldn't because they're already with someone... So I've tried a few things when I was in an... altered state. But since I've never really had a boyfriend, the latter wouldn't really apply to me." She said with a smile.

She nodded though as he explained his name. Some parents really deserved to be shot. "Well, I've heard worse. And Eamon's really not that bad. Just unusual." She said with a shrug, still keeping her eyes from him. Too much temptation... Far too much.

Janie couldn't help but wonder though, if there was something else that he could offer besides a simple tumble. Why would she think of him as 'forbidden fruit' and not just because of his heart-stopping good looks.

Pandora Lorrain - January 31, 2009 03:08 AM (GMT)
Eamon grinned, he couldn't help but like where the conversation was going. It seemed like it always came back to sex or some other kind of carnal pleasure. He wasn't against sex in the least. If he hadn't been Enashe, he would have chosen Nephim hands down. That was his second favorite coven, the three others he could do without, but he did recognize the importance of the Amman. He raised an eyebrow. "Why haven't you had a boyfriend?" He knew that some people preferred the solitary life, though in today's world in seemed less and less likely. Most preferred life time companionship and he agreed with them. He was a sociable creature by nature and living alone would be very disheartening.

He reached across the table slipping a cold hand underneath her chin and turning her face so he could look at her. "Why won't you look at me? Do I look that awful to you?"

Silver Wolf19 - January 31, 2009 03:31 AM (GMT)
"I don't think it's worth it... For me or the guy really. I don't want to be tied down, and I know that's what guys do. They get jealous... Possessive. I've seen it happen too many times for one guy to convince me otherwise." She said warningly. "I don't like strings... Well not at the moment anyway."

She sipped at her drink, trying to ignore him, but his hand, ice cold on her chin, made her look at him.

"I... No... It's not that... Really..." She mumbled only slightly incoherently. She couldn't really tell him the truth! She couldn't tell him that she was afraid to look at him because he'd be able to talk her in to anything. "I... I just don't like to tempt fate is all..." She muttered quietly. Almost inaudibly.

Pandora Lorrain - January 31, 2009 03:39 AM (GMT)
Eamon shrugged and pursed his lips. "So you plan and staying single for the rest of your life? You don't even want to give it a try, see if you can stand someone for a long period of time?" That was perhaps the most difficult. Seeing the same person everyday for the rest of your life and any quirks that they had you had to simply accept them and love the person because of them. "Not all guys are possessive, some of them know that their girlfriend has to have a life of their own and needs to hang out with her friends."

Tempt fate? What did she mean by that? He didn't know if he should mention it because it was said so quietly, but perhaps he should see what would happen if he did mention it. He leaned closer. "What did you mean by the fact that you don't like tempting fate?" He really did want to know what she meant by that, because he was curious. Did it mean a good thing or a bad thing? He hoped it was a good thing, yet he wasn't sure.

Silver Wolf19 - January 31, 2009 03:52 AM (GMT)
"I said not now didn't I?" She asked, turning her head away. "I still like to have fun. I like to drink, dance, hang around my guy friends and those would be the first things he'd try to make me leave behind. That's just what I've seen Eamon. I've seen it too many times." She shook her head. "I won't let it happen. No matter how hot the guy is or how good the sex is." She sounded resolute in her statement, but she tried to make it sound that way, hoping to dissuade him.

Janie froze though as he asked about her comment. She thought she'd said it too quiet to hear over the music... But he'd heard her.

"I... I'm not going to take chances when I don't have to." She stammered out. She loved her life just the way it was. She didn't want to change anything! Well, maybe a bit more money would be nice. And getting her car fixed would be fantastic... But other than that...

"I... I like... The way my life is going... I... I don't want to do anything to make it bad." There, it was said. Well would he understand it? That was another question entirely. On that only the next few moments would answer.
