Title: Troubled Minds.

Kamaria - April 18, 2004 02:45 AM (GMT)
It was raining again, and once more Kam slowly walks into the subway station. This time, her hood did not cover her face. Instead, she wore a long, flowing, black spaghetti strap dress. On her feet were nothing but sandals, black as well, her porcelain skin in deep contrasts to the ebon materials. Long raven hair was let down, the length past her breasts and nearly reaching her stomach. Pale features looked to the floor, eyes downcast, seemingly troubled.

”What could possibly be wrong with him?” She asked herself softly, leaning up against a wall at the far end of the station. She crossed her arms firmly, deep in thought, still looking down. She frowned, and sunk to the floor, resting her forehead on her knees. Something was wrong with Jonah, her love, and it killed her knowing that he was lying about being fine. Kamaria could tell these things with him. He wasn't himself. He seemed more agitated than usual. She sighed, and closed her eyes.

A troubled mind leads to a troubled heart.

Jonah - April 18, 2004 03:28 AM (GMT)
Her bubbley giggle sent his back into twisted rigidness, its notes all filled with life and the pleasure of a sugar coated world..and the flattering of being confronted by a complete stranger. Jonah had approached the woman, probably late twenties, he had been spying on her from afar, watching her thin right ankle pulse as her foot tapped impatiently for the metro's arival. The woman's Estee Later perfume had caught his attention first, and then once seeing her, the steady and loud drumming of a healthy heart made him itch.

It'd been a while since he had done more than just feed, since he had made something that looked good enough to be captured in a frame of his film, tonight he thought he might bring back the trend. Things were getting out of hand, and others needed to be aware of who was running the show down in this hell...they'd recognize the crime as done by the hand of their own when they hear about it.

Jonah gave a meek smile, he had been conversing for a full agonizing hour, the woman already passing up more than four trains that would have taken her to her destination. Had he not been so set on remaining cautious as to keep his intents discreet, the woman would already be dismembered in a gutter somewhere, but all she seemed to want to do was flirt, joke, and not budge. internally he groaned as his head began to throb with her laughter at her own joke.He nodded and forced another smile... "Yes..very funny..that's a good one..gotta remember that one.."

"Oh belive me I got more!!" She became excited and quickly got to the punch line. To amuse her he went along, mustering what he could to let out a convincing laugh. Now only if they could get somewhere less populated, his veins were begining to pain from the slow flow of dead blood.

Kamaria - April 18, 2004 03:46 AM (GMT)
Kamaria had been lost in contemplation, until she heard something. It was like something hit her hard within, and her thoughts ceased. She had heard Jonah’s voice. She was sure of it. But..there was another voice. And Kam listened hard. Determined to find out who it was. Then she nearly stopped breathing. It was a female’s voice. Holding her breath, the femme lifted her head from her knees, and looked to where the voice was coming from. And she froze, eyes wide. There was Jonah, laughing and talking with another female. A mortal. Her stomach seemed to do a flip, and she still did not breathe, in shock. Finally, she whispered. “Ja..Jonah..?”

Jonah - April 21, 2004 07:38 PM (GMT)
The whisper was more like a scream that muted all other sounds even, thankfully the bubbly giggle of this woman. He turned his head, taking a moment to peer through the steady flow of people to find Kamaria. There she was.

Jonah turned back to the woman and nodded. "Yea, really great. Hey, ya mind if we just go over here for a moment? Want you to meet someone.." With her simple reply of a nervous nod he took her jacket cuff and led her through the push and pull of the civilians. He groaned as a person got in his way of view to where Kamaria was, or when the woman began to get stuck due to not wanting to cut through conversations. Manners, what a waste.

He emerged first looking down at Kamaria with the slightest forced upturn of the corner of his mouth. Kneeling down to her sitting level he spoke in a soft whisper, quickly before the woman caught up. "Play along..k?" He stood and ruffled her hair gently seconds before his soon to be victim arrived.

"Oh...hello?" She looked from Kamaria to Jonah. Who was this? Jonah was swift to answer.

"My sister, Kam."

Kamaria - April 21, 2004 07:47 PM (GMT)
As that bubbly woman walked over, inside Kam was containing herself. Jealousy was raging within her. Jonah was hers, and how DARE someone else flirt with him. She slowly rose to her feet, and meekly stuck out her hand, forcing a decent smile. "Hello. Are you a friend of my brother's?" She asked quietly, in her head she was slowly understanding what Jonah was doing. And a real smile replaced the forced one.

Jonah - April 21, 2004 08:01 PM (GMT)
The woman took Kamaria's hand, almost feeling the need to retract her own at the touch of the skin. The poor girl was terribly cold.. but then again it was a spring night, and she knew well that not all people held onto body warmth as well as others. "Yes, I suppose so. Shannon..Shannon Kehe. Nice meeting you." Shannon smiled brightly and took her hand back. "How do you put up with him Kam? He may be quite the charmer but between you and me he's got that macho look about him." She joked and made it well known by once again letting out her own giggle.

Jonah forced what he could as a smile, shooting a brief glare at Shannon and then to Kamaria. The sooner they left the subway the better. "Ya know its rather loud down here..what do you two say to going out on the town?"

Kamaria - April 22, 2004 01:12 AM (GMT)
"Yes, he does have that macho look about him. But I guess you just have to get used to him.." In the back of her mind, she was still screaming. Rage filling her. And it was beginning to show in her eyes, but only Jonah could catch it before she surpressed it. "Yes, shall we go some place else?" Smiled. Inside, she growled. She was hungry, and jealously inraged.

Jonah - April 22, 2004 01:20 AM (GMT)
Shannon shifted. "Well actually, I have a train I should--"

Jonah quickly looked back to the woman and forced a smile. "Another one will be by later. How's this..dinner's on me." The small pun wasn't intended, he picked up these notes from the people around him through the ages, when guy were trying to keep their catch long enough for a one night stand.

She considered it and smiled, giving in to temptation and the rumble of an empty stomache. "Alright fine."

Kamaria - April 22, 2004 01:27 AM (GMT)
Running her long fingers through her ebon hair, she grinned. "Sounds great, I'm starved." She placed a hand on her stomach, and giggled. Though her giggle was sweet, not bubbly like the girl's.

At least I'm not some bubbly bitch like her.. She thought to herself. Clearly, the green eyed monster was comsuming her. Kamaria wasn't used to seeing other females around Jonah. Only herself.

Jonah - April 22, 2004 01:36 AM (GMT)
He grinned now, hoping the night would go as it had promised him within his mind. He held out an elbow and made a sweeping gesture with his other arm. "Shall we ladies?" The shy tug of Shannon's hand in the bend of his arm made him glance to Kamaria, but then back to the woman. Character, had to keep it, just a while longer.

He gave a short smile and nodded, begining the leading stride for the stairs. "So who wants what?"

Kamaria - April 22, 2004 01:42 AM (GMT)
She caught Jonah's glance, and her eyes flashed with anger and jealousy. She didn't hold his hand, or take his arm, like she normally would. She acted like a sister. Though, deep within, she felt like screaming and crying her eyes out. This was too much. How much longer could she keep it up? Swallowing, she smiled. Like she just pushed everything down when she swallowed. "Hmm..I think I might have chicken fingers, my favorite!"

Jonah - April 22, 2004 01:53 AM (GMT)
Chicken fingers? Disgusting, he couldn't remember the taste of the simple foods of life but he knew that they couldn't compare to the delicacy his kind thrived on. Oh how his veins ached.

Their slow ascent finally delivered them to the less conjested streets, and the throb of his head began to subside. He now looked over to Kam, just now seeing how young she really looked. Beside this woman Kamaria looked a mere teenager though she still was the most amazing sight Jonah had seen..he was glad he could have her there for the ngiht's festivites. "Kami, where's that place you like?"

Shannon raised her chin slightly, looking to try and help and get an even better rub off on the guy his younger sister. "I know a place.."

Kamaria - April 22, 2004 02:00 AM (GMT)
She only said that because it used to be her favorite simple food while she was..alive? Was that the word for it? Who knew. It was probably different for each kind. Mortals..and her kind.

Indeed, Kam did look young. Having being turned as a teen, only 16, she kept that teenage appearance. Kamaria didn't look at Jonah at all throughout their slow walk, but instead kept her eyes glued to the ground, finally looking to the girl when she spoke. "Really? Where's that?" Boy, was she hungry. But her inner turmoil overcame that feeling.

Jonah - April 22, 2004 02:05 AM (GMT)
She thought for a moment, "Uhh, I think its called Cheesey Jane's. Hase burgers, fish sticks and chicken fingers I think--"

Jonah interupted, this being a good chance to interupt and lead the meal off somewhere else. "Oh yea..yea, I know where that is. Bit far, know a short cut though. Go through the park and older part of town." He wouldn't dare comit the crime in the park but perhaps in one of the confined buildings or perhaps just slipping down through a storm gutter and pulling her along. Yea, that'd work..

"Oh well, I've never gone that way but sure, I guess that'll work."

Kamaria - April 22, 2004 06:44 PM (GMT)
Yes, that would work. Keep her occupied long enough to lure her someplace dark and damp, and then attack. Oh, was Kam looking forward to this. She hadn't eaten in the longest time. She nodded slowly, agreeing with Jonah on the shortcut. "Yes, taking a shortcut would be fine idea, brother. I'm starved." Grinned softly.
