Incubus grinned at the site of this humble store, food was everywhere. He hoped Lord Darklust would be happy. Ever since that Kathryn woman came into the picture Aequeitas had been frantic and kept mostly to himself in Incubus' presence.
What is rolling through your head master? He thought silently while walking through isles of meat and vegatables. The slight aroma of fruits beyond his wildest dreams wafted to his delicate senses. He picked up a bagful of oranges and continued his way down the isle. Glimpsing around he saw what he knew to be a vampire, though he kept his distance, Incubus was still nervous around any other of the children of darkness besides his master Lord Aequeitas Darklust.
Walking in front of a checkout counter he began to set his new found foods on the conveyor belt. The hum of the small engine running a counter full of groceries send a smile onto his features once more. Taking his leave of the humble store he continued on his way the street making his way to a small cafe in the corner of town.
Sitting in that cafe was a man, in his early thirties, a five o'clock shadow stubbling his chin and cheeks. He was a handsome man, his shoulders wide and his chest large underneath his leather jacket. A cup of coffee steamed merrily in front of him, while he steamed not-so merrily to himself.
He hardly noticed when the myrmidon carrying a bag of oranges entered. The mortal didn't concern him, so he didn't bother to take stock of him. He was too busy running down through the instant messages which were on his cell phone.
And he wasn't happy there were so many of them.
