Title: Homeless Voilinist
Description: Looks can be betraying

Gabriel sat next to a corner of the subway wall. An open violin case sat infront of him. It was unmistakably old as his name was ingraved in the old oak case. The inside of the case was coated with silk. He sat next to the case in old clothing that had a few cuts and slashes on it. He shivered whiping off a few drops of water that lay on his old shirt.
In his hands he held an old violin which was worth more then his live to the man holding it. He loved this intrument as it was given to him by his maker before he was transformed into what he was. He slowly sigh before drawing the bow over the strings as they let out an eerie tune. As he sped up the music making it a bit more livly even though he never liked playing it.
A few mortals dropped money into the open case and he nodded to them even though he didn't look up at them. He knew he could easily read a few peoples minds to make money but he thought it was better to use his own natural skills without using his powers.

It was an easy thing to flit through this place. The quick passed change of people the generalindiffrence of every one, each in there own little boxes of solitude. She rather enjoyed it.
She'd been riding the trains for a few hours now, taking up seat room, bothing the passangers and more or less catching up on her reading. But,asit grew later and things started to dropoff she found less joy in this amusment desiding perhaps to walk the streets instead. She hurried, even though there was no rush, sandled feet barely making any noise against the tiled floor.
She almost missed him.
Stoping as her ears finaly caught the sound over the din of squeeling trains and a crowded platform she backed up a few feet untill she stood a few feet infront of him a soft smile on her lips. A violinest...and by the way the he looked notpart of the human coil.
She slowly came foreward, simply listening to the music before crouching down, her dress more or less a puddle of soft blue about her feet, arms wraped about her knees, lightly resting her cheek against her own upper arm. She quietly waited for the song to grow to a close, waited for him to glance up at her before curving her lips in a kittenish smile.
"It's a lovely insrument you have there, it looks well made and well aged....your lucky to have it, they dont make them like they used to.."

He eyes went over her slowly. Well who was this vampire that watched him. He set the voilin on his knee and looked at her one last time.
"Yes I geuss i am very lucky to have such an old musicail instrument." He smiled a bit and looked at her interested in what she had said. "Well then do I have any people who would like to here any certain song or tune?" He needed much more money if he ever planned to get a home.
He sighed a bit tired of only getting small money in this place. He wanted to be in a concert hall but he needed more practice first.
"So what brings you to this place anyway? It's not often I see a girl like you here anymore."

He played yet anothr peice even though now his thoughts had wandered off. Hmmm he had never relized it but the covens seemed to be weakening with there rules. People were losing there place and not paying attention to their leaders. Not that he really cared after all he wasn't even in a coven. However the winds of revolt where strong of late and he was hoping that he wouldn't have to be involved in a bloody clash of the immortals. The gaurdians seemed slacking. Even the most feice and cruel vampires of the Tarepha coven seemed low in numbers of late. The leaders he knew nothing about. Would a battle take place within the covens or maybe one will try to rise from the shadows and reveal the race soon. He had just noticed that he was still playing. A low very eerie tune was coming from his violin as if sounding a warning to him.

She smiled at him, her lips curved in that odd little way that made her look like some kind of sleepy kitten. She continued to watch him, continued to listen, every so offten picking freely given emotions from the air to add to her blissing state of music.
"I dont know....I think your doing a smashing job without requests.."
She cocked her head off to one side, watching him quietly, her lips pursed in thought before a slight forwn took her mouth.
"For me...Im here to keep boredom at bay..but you..." At this she shook her head, the tiny silver peices in her hair bumping together with a sweet little chime. " I cant understand your spot in this place...this is a place of crowded solitude, not fit for the attention music deserves.."

"Well playing in a more safisticated place requires skill now doesn't it?" He sighed and looked around at the mortals which surrounded him. He kept playing the slow eerie tunes which came so naturally to him. Then he looked down a the case and noticed a bit of money. He seemed shocked her hadn't thought anyone would really pay him for listening to him play here. Well it wouldn't pay the rent but it was a start.

She shruged a little, looking over both her shoulders then seeming to come to some small desision as she sat down beside him and out of the way of the newest wave of people coming off the trains. She rested her chin in her hand, her expression mild but still sweet and amused as she watched him move and play.
"True enough...but ive never understood street performing in subways...every ones to wraped up in themselves. One of the more busy sections of the park maybe...already happy and sweet spirited people..."

"Someday I'll figure out how I get jetlag from riding the subway," April said to himself, swinging out the door of said vehicle via one of the poles. The day had been long. Not unbareably so, but enough that getting home to some food and bedrest were more than slightly appealing. Ambling down the concrete, he groaned softly to himself. 'I've got practice in the morning... someday I'm going to fall asleep in the water and drown. Coach'll probably go to the funeral just to yell at me for dying before OCC's.'
Chuckling to himself, his steps took on a bit of a skipping rythem before slowing to a hault. Strains of violin music were echoing off the walls, dancing around his ears... then everything when silent, and soft voices talking in quiet tones replaced the notes. Following them, he found a small but attentive crowd of subway passengers like himself circling a person he couldn't see. Muttering 'excuse me', he carefully pushed his way though them and caught sight of the musician, just as he bagan to play again.
'Wow...' April thought in wonder.
The man was totally gifted, and obviously experienced. Each and every movement of his arm as it lifted and dropped the violin bow was careful and precise, but completely relaxed. The music he wrung from the stings was pure cream, soft and sweet, nevermind the minor key of his song.
On a side note, the musician himself was as easy on the eyes as his music was on the ears.
After getting over his initial astonishment, April let loose an impressed and appriciative grin, digging into his pocket and pulling loose three ones and a five. All were placed in the open violin case at the man's side.
