Title: Reunion
Description: I await your presence...

Aequeitas - April 13, 2004 05:38 PM (GMT)
Aequeitas smiled slightly as he awaited the arrival of his current aquaintance. A mortal he knew only as Codi, the rest he had only guessed about her when he observed her presence for a short time on the streets. "Where is she?" He growled under his breath as he awaited her arrival. He had made an appointment with her just the other night, coming up from behind her and whispering gently in her ear. "Greetings my dear." He muttered to her in exact preferance any mortal would die listening to just because it soothed the very presence of their fragile soul.

"Forgive the intrusion but I have been silently observing you from a distance and would enjoy the chance of having a chat with you." "Would you kindly meet me at 12:00 midnight downtown in the subway station, so that I may get to know you a little better?" The tone in his voice had been perfect, every little decibal of sound had measured out the exact amount to entice Codi to agree. So he was silently waiting for her here in the subway his patience growing thin. He hated being in the open, any moment someone could notice what he was and then he would be screwed.

"Hurry up Codi." He muttered one last time, then drifted into the shadows as he looked around the station. Blood screaming to his mind at every glance of mortal flesh. He knew she had better hurry before he lost control and began a bloody rampage at the promise of the feeding his kind needed to keep up the carcass they presided in. Time runs short, and yet he will still be here batteling his own instincts for domination. Knowing full well that Codi might not even be safe around his animalistic second nature.

Skirr - April 13, 2004 10:50 PM (GMT)
Codi had indeed agreed to come, but why was still a mystery.

Two weeks ago, her brother had informed her that there were vampires. Yea, right, she had stated simply. They took a walk through the park, arguing as they usually did. And, out of no where, twin vampires are killing some woman, drinking her blood, then licking all the blood off each other. Images that were burned into her mind. Images she'd do anything to forget.

Codi had met Aequeitas a few days later in the subway. And, just by her paranoia and a gut feeling, she declared him a vampire. To which he smiled, proving her right. And, for once, it wasn't fear in this. She wanted to know more. Know more, because though Colton seemed to know much of the vampiric world, he did not know everything. He didn't know about the Covens, about different habits, about a lot. And she, not knowing any of this, wanted to know all of it.

"Hello Aequeitas. Sorry I'm late."

Ten minutes, which was better than usual. She stood off to the side of the subway, eyes watching the last train of the evening scuttle off. Everything seemed to be running late today. The train should have left five minute previous, according to the clock on the wall. Codi had been less dressy recently, and so she stood in jeans and her college sweater, sneakers on her feet, and her hair down. No makeup, no painted nails, no jewelery.

"I wanted to talk to you... About your kind."

Staring, not at him, but at a chip on the floor. Which seemed interesting enough to hold her gaze there.

Aequeitas - April 14, 2004 03:19 PM (GMT)
Aequeitas smiled the tension in his body easing slowly as he watched Codi, his gaze taking in all of her proportions the curve of her body, the silent spring ringing out every time she took a step. In a blink he could have her grasped in his arms drinking the miserable life from her corpse, but he had invited her to come here under his protection. He would not violate that trust. In ways he was exactly like his Coven members, and yet he was totally different. He honored the promises he made. Suddenly the words coming from her mouth rang true to his ears. "I wanted to talk to you...about your kind"

The smile suddenly gone from his lips he turned his face to her, every pale contour, every line and crease of his cursed immortal skin shown evidence of what he truly was, A vampire. She knew, he thought silently as he ran the answers to her plea through his mind. So much he could tell her about his abomination. His kind, Had been around for thousands of years. The Vampiric, The Children of Darkness, many names were given to them throughout time. Yet none of them really matched.

"Do not reveal what I am about to tell you to anyone." He stated simply as he breathed in a tormented sigh. His eyes began to glaze over as he started running the vampire history through his mind, reliving every hell sent time period where something important happend. Nothing could prepare the poor girl for what she was about to hear. So he just let it out, let the pain fall through his tone and the demonic essence inside himself enhance the story telling of the vampiric history, he told her of the five covens. Told her of every Coven leader, every Vampiric nature station deep within every last one of his kind.

He told her his history and how he became a vampire those two hundred and four years ago. At last he was finished, one hour had past with him just talking to Codi, releasing the history of the vampire to her in all its cursed glory.
"At least now she knows." The thought flowing from his mind like a cool breeze on a blazing summers day. Relief, the one feeling he had never felt in his entire life came rushing to him. "She knew."

Skirr - April 15, 2004 12:00 AM (GMT)
Codi nodded, thinking to herself that she didn't have a choice. Her brother would kill her if she told anyone, because he seemed to be dating some vampire. And that vampire might kill him, or one of her little friends might kill her. She had no choice, other than to keep it secret or die.

An hour went by, and she soaked it all in. Covens, leaders, vampires and how they were turned. She shuddered when shaking off bad thoughts, shifted positions when her feet became tired, and nodded when she felt Aequeitas needed a nod to continue.

Finally, at the end of the hour, she let out all her breath. That she didn't realize she had been periodically holding in and letting out the entire hour.

"So... That's that about vampires..."

Nooded, and looked around the secluded train station. A few random others floating around, and, with no reason, judged them all as vampires for the late hour. Looked back to Aequeitas, and studied him. Long hair, silverish, and blue eyes. Maybe the silver hair was because he was old. Codi didn't know, and didn't really care.

"... But why would your parents 'turn' you? You'd think they wouldn't want you to have to live for eternity like them."
