Title: No One's Around
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 12:19 AM (GMT)
Hunter walked through the empty halls that echoed his foot steps as he walked. He got to the side where the old machinery was, but now it's all mud and concrete floors that ramp up many levels going to the roof of the tall building.
He sniffed the air and looked around. There was no one here. Hunter liked it like that. He loved it when it was quiet, but he didn't hate having people. He decided to turn the warehouse into a playground as long as no one was around.
He climbed up the walls at incredible speeds, feeling the brick work with his hands as he went up. He reached Floor 9 according to a sign painted on the wall back when the warehouse was in use. He went on to the ground and started to explore, because that was his thing, so to speak.
He saw where many homeless had made shelters and stashes of things that people apparently thought were safe. He took just menial things, a deck of playing cards and bills from what looked like a box of racket bits, and a peculiar looking stone.
Hunter looked at the window. He liked the view. He always likes any new perspective things. He just stared out gazing.
Pandora Lorrain - November 27, 2007 12:38 AM (GMT)
No one was truly alone, except that the mortals always seemed to think that. Vampires were supposed to know better, and despite her age there were times that Chi did feel alone. How was a six thousand year old vampire supposed to relate to a time and place like this? This wasn't her homeland, no where near her homeland, but whatever she would have called home was long gone. There was nothing for her back there. If she did return she wouldn't recognize anything.
She had watched the other vampire, hiding her power and herself from him. She could do both with ease, after practicing for so long there was no way that she couldn't do that, that she would let a young vampire sense her. Perhaps if she was two thousand years younger, she would cut herself some slack.
She laughed at the others antics. It was amusing to watch. "You are quite the spirited one, aren't you?" Her voice was clear and smooth. It sounded young and seemed to spread from the air. She materialized and it looked like she was steeping down from an unseen step. She tilted her head as she watched him, her form becoming more solid. Her silver hair was braided down her back and her upper body was covered with a sweater. A dark blue one, the one that she preferred. Her legs were covered by a black skirt that went to her ankles, speckled with little white specs. They were supposed to resembled stars winking in the night.
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 12:52 AM (GMT)
Hunter turned around to see who was behind him. His open olive button-up and gold and black tie were dancing in the wind let in from the windows. His blue jeans and black shirt, on the other hand, were tight enough to stay where they were. He flicked up his black pinstripe fedora and pushed back his long, dark, loose hair. He walked with two shoes different from each other. One was a lime-green with black laces that had tiny skulls and green hearts. The other was black, with black and white striped laces. He also wore cut up maroon soccer socks on his arms with a reggae wrist band on one, and watch on the other.
Hunter responded to the voice, "Spirited? Yeah, you could say that. Nothing has brought me down tonight. And how goes it with you, child from the dark?"
Pandora Lorrain - November 27, 2007 01:02 AM (GMT)
A smile graced Chi's lips as the wind tugged at he skirt and suddenly her skirt stopped moving all together as if the wind had stopped touching her. In one regard it had and she was untouched by the wind any longer. She loved the way she could manipulate the air to do whatever she desired. She could even create objects out of it, though she was sure that she was probably touching the molecules at a more basic level but that wasn't quite the point. She couldn't quite explain her power, but she knew that she could control it.
"Child? I don't remember anyone ever calling me a child, well not recently anyways. At least not in the last two thousand years of my existence." As she thought over his phrase she realized what he had meant. She was a child of the night, there was no denying that. She had misunderstood, she took his meaning literally. "I am well, for one of my age and how are you little one." It wasn't meant as an insult, she didn't take into the habit of insulting people. It wasn't something that she did, yet she did call anybody younger than herself, little one. That was a habit that she had picked up.
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 01:17 AM (GMT)
Hunter smirked, not because he found that she called him little one, but because of the strange way they used the same thing, and yet they were both technically right and wrong, seeing as he was older looking then her, but she was thousands of old.
"Heh, it goes fine with me." He walked back to the place where you could see all the way to the ground floor, up to the hole in the roof. He looked up and shifted back and fourth. "So what brings you to my playground of industry?" Hunter then started to tilt his whole body, still straight, over the edge at almost 30 degrees to look down the walls.
Pandora Lorrain - November 27, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
Amused was definitely the way she was feeling. This night was not as uneventful as she thought that it was going to be. She usually managed to bore herself, when she spent to night alone in her apartment or in the park. She dreadfully needed some amusement in her life, no matter what she thought. She may have been old but she wasn't senile. She loved fun as much as the next person.
She watched him, not concerned at all. He knew what he was doing, he was a vampire. He knew the limits of what he could do, just as much as she knew hers. She floated to him, her legs unmoving. "Your playground? Oh but I beg to differ, this is everyone's playground, your's, mine, anybody else that may wander here, vampire or not. You can't claim possession to something if you haven't bought it. You may be a Tarepha and I know that they tend to be territorial, but even then you have to realize that there are rules to abide by, even for you."
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 01:51 AM (GMT)
Hunter got back perpendicular with the ground again. He cracked his back and sat on the edge.
"Well in some cases, we go by a rule I call no man, no price. If no one owns it, then it can't be for sale. Besides, I've probably lived here as much as any bum. I know the structure better than any blue print could tell, and I know every in and out of this place. I have the right to call this place my home when there's no one around."
Of course all of this reffered to the past, when he first came back home from the jungle with nothing. He knows he has a warm home now and that that's his real place, but he liked to call this place 'his' still.
Pandora Lorrain - November 27, 2007 02:02 AM (GMT)
Chi laughed, the sound of her laughter reverberating off the walls of the structure. "I'm sure I could find nooks and crannies that you would never have thought about looking for." She was a peculiar one, she saw things that no one else saw. She could also slip into crevasses that were hidden from others and find hidden rooms. "If it is yours, did you know of the basement and then hidden storage down there?" There were crates that had been hidden from normal people, but Chi was no normal.
She sat down next to him and looked at him. She gently touched his face and lifted it so she could look at it. "There is a look on you face of one that has been hunted or perhaps it's the look of one that is haunted by his past?" She didn't claim that she knew everything, but she was curious of what had happened in this man's life to make him that way. She had seen and done things that would horrify quite a few people. She looked so innocent.
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
Hunter pulled his face away, remembering seeing his legs and stomach pierced by metal and the smell of fuel came back to him. He also remembered the pain. Even after becoming a stoic from being a vampire, he knew it still hurts every now and then.
"I think we all have our stories. Why else would we be night spawn. Not one of us can brag or amaze others with our stories because everyone else has a one-up. So I'm not going to pretend I'm more scarred than the rest, I'm just scarred a little differently."
Pandora Lorrain - November 27, 2007 02:30 AM (GMT)
Chi was interested into why he thought they were vampires. It was an interesting thought, but lucky for her, she knew why vampires existed or at least she had an idea why older vampires created younger vampires. It was creating offspring, creating children to continue what they were. They couldn't have children like mortals so they were forced to different methods of procreation.
"I thought I was going to be a goddess. My sire was masquerading as a goddess. At first I didn't quite understand why, but it was soon clear to me. It was fun and i have to admit that masquerading as a goddess in the Roman Empire was fun." She was scarred as well, helping mortals and killing her fair share to survive. She wasn't scarred physically, but inside there were scars that had their own scars. Emotional scars were the worse, they usually lasted a lot longer, sometimes an eternity. For a vampire, an eternity could be a very long time.
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 02:45 AM (GMT)
Hunter stood up and walked back to the windows. He put his hand up on the wall and stuck his head out.
"Sounds a lot better than what I went through. This was salvation for me, not a gift or family ritual. Long story short, I knew the right people at the right time. I'll have to admit, if I didn't believe in this stuff I wouldn't be here right now. Though, I wonder if it's worth being here forever. Putting up with every blessing and plague of the form we've taken. What is it like living for over a milinia?"
Hunter looked down to see a couple of humans come in. A couple of jock-looking sorts, acting all bad for a friend who stayed behind. They walked in laughing and cracking jokes.
"Sounds like dinner has arrived. What do you say?"
Pandora Lorrain - November 27, 2007 03:02 AM (GMT)
Chi snorted. "Perhaps it was better, but believe me, it doesn't always seem that way when it happens." She had been scarred and basically raped before her turning. Her sire had soothed her pain and she know understood why her sire had insisted on it, but she did wish that she had been a little older. Well it was too late now, she couldn't change any of that.
What was it like? Was their actually an answer to such a question. "It's ok I guess. You get to see the rise and fall of empires and the way mortals tend to repeat themselves over and over again. Simply make the same mistakes a few hundred years later. Mortals tend to be idiots at times." She looked out the window and smiled at the jocks. "Just so you know, I condone killing mortals, I'm really against it. Just thought that I would point that out." It was clear that she warning him, but what was she warning him about? And what would happen if he didn't heed her warning? Well there was only one way to find out.
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 03:13 AM (GMT)
Hunter had a face of dispair, he didn't like guidelines to feeding. It wasn't that he wanted to kill everyone he fed on, but he liked to do every couple of mortals.
"I'll make an exception to my nature this time. I don't feel like getting in trouble with someone who can most likely kick me around. Besides, you didn't say anything about roughin' him up a bit. I can still get my kicks."
Hunter crawled out the opposite window and in one ground level that went to dark. He climbed up between two walls and the ceiling and waited as he heard them come closer. He scuttled across the walls, making sure to be in the umbra of every shadow, and watched their every move waiting for them to split up so he could grab one with no witnesses.
Pandora Lorrain - November 27, 2007 03:21 AM (GMT)
Chi was fine with roughening him up, as long as he turned up alive. Chi wouldn't give a care for what he did to them, despite the pain the poor jock would feel. He was a Tarepha, you couldn't curb all of his tendencies, it would be hard for him to control himself. He might end up killing by accident. She would rather have the man alive and in pain, then dead. Besides there would be people here for miles in the next few days. She liked to come here, if he was simply roughed up, maybe two days would go by with mortals around. She could last for two days.
She closed her eyes and vanished into the night. She was still in building, she wanted to keep an eye on what was going on, besides she might be able to have fun with one of them. There were only three. He would take care of one and the other two would be hers. She didn't know if she would feed from them, only time would tell what she truly wanted. She still had time to decide.
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 04:04 AM (GMT)
Hunter followed them all the way to a stair well. He followed them as they went half way up the stairs. Then, He rushed in front of them and into a window well above the door where he scuttled his way down and waited for on to come through.
After a few seconds, on walks through and Hunter quickly slams the door on the other two, now trapped in the stairwell. Hunter locked the bolt on it and went after the one he got. They were in a supply room, so there were no windows and only one door.
Hunter uppercutted the lad and made him fly across the room. Then Hunter jumped on top of the kid and wailed on the boys face. Right before the jock was about to black out, Hunter put his hand on his adam's apple and pressed down. This caused the blood to stop moving to his head, and him to stop breathing.
The jock was out, and Hunter helped himself to the reward of the hunt. He sucked the kid to just where Hunter felt satisfied and let go. Then he stayed in the room to await any other noise.
Pandora Lorrain - November 27, 2007 04:16 AM (GMT)
Chi had to admit that the male vampire used what he had at hands well. She couldn't help being amused. She materialized making sure that they stayed away from the door, she didn't know what they would do, besides the door was lock. She wasn't going to find out, she was going to take charge of them.
She crooked a finger at them. "Come." The look of shock that had been on their face vanished and was replaced with a glazed one. She walked away from the door and they followed. They were her puppets, she could do with them as she pleased. There was so much that she could do.
She released them from their stupor and they frowned looking at their surroundings. One of them hissed in anger, while they other glared at her. "Who are you?"
She let a small smile draw on her face. That wasn't truly the question, the true question was what was she. "That's not the right question. The question that you should be asking yourself is what am I? For I am not a normal being." One of the two was slammed into a wall and was held there while she approached the other. She could smell the fear rolling off him. "Don't be frightened, i won't hurt you...too much."
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 04:25 AM (GMT)
Hunter walked out of the storage and left the door open. Then he sniffed around for Where she lured the other two. He followed the scent like a hound and ran like one too. Then, he found the room where she was with the other two.
Hunter casually walked in with his clothes still covered in dust. He brushed himself off a bit and leaned against the wall.
"Don't worry I'm not here to rake in on what I left for you, simply here to watch. I always like a movie after dinner."
Pandora Lorrain - November 27, 2007 04:42 AM (GMT)
Chi lifted and eyebrow. "I am not your entertainment. Besides, I prefer tackling something a little more complicated then jocks." He eyes never left his face. The two jocks vanished and were spirited elsewhere. They wouldn't remember anything. She had also taken care of the other jock that was unconscious. He would be fine, she was sure of that.
Her eyes hadn't left his face. "You see, mortals are fun and all, but I find vampires so much more challenging." She wasn't going to hurt him, she just wanted to play. She wasn't in the mood for food, she had already fed long before this, she wanted a game right now. She was sure that the male vampire could provide her with a game.
Hunter Gabon - November 27, 2007 04:50 AM (GMT)
Hunter was intrigued, it's not normal that he got to play with vampires. Most of his time was spent like the others from his coven, loning and hunting. He had never really challenged many vampire before though. Just ones that he and other felt breached the security of the secret of vampires.
Hunter paced around and smiled at her as he walked in circles around the room. He scoped her down to know her physical weaknesses.
"Sounds like you wanna play. So, in the words of Alex from A Clockwork Orange, what's it going to be?"
Pandora Lorrain - November 28, 2007 12:57 AM (GMT)
Chi watched him, her eyes lighting up with excitement. She watched him stalk her and excitement was apparent in her eyes. She wanted to see what he would do. He was trying to see if she had a weakness. Like everyone she had weaknesses yet she managed to make her weaknesses negligible. Her strengths counteracted her weaknesses.
Her voice came out as a purr. "Of course I want to play, but the question as to what I want to play, has yet to be answered. We'll simply have to see, now won't we." Her eyes had never left him, he stayed in her sight and the excitement was clearly sweeping through her. It was going to be fun.
Hunter Gabon - November 28, 2007 01:09 AM (GMT)
"It's your call," Hunter pointed out. "But I will declare, the winner gets the second feed." Hunter thought a prize would make it a little more interesting. Plus, had always liked a reward for what he did, another one of his animalistic traits.
He very rarely had this kind of thing with people from his coven, and even then, it was more business, so he was excited. It had been since the peace core that he got to have fun like that. He had really missed it.
Pandora Lorrain - November 28, 2007 01:49 AM (GMT)
Chi grinned, her fangs flashing. This was going to be fun and she was going to take complete advantage of it. It seemed that he wanted her to take the first punch or kick or whatever. If he insisted, she would. "What victim? I sent them all away, unless you are telling me that you are going to hunt for me?" Flattered? She was. She was going to win there was no way he was going to beat her, unless she let him.
She didn't seem to move and she hit him. Not hard enough to cause serious damage, he was giving her the first punch she took advantage of it. She was off to one side, her back pressed against the wall and was giving him a look, head tilted to one side. This was fun.
Hunter Gabon - November 28, 2007 02:04 AM (GMT)
Hunter took the hit well, on flintching enough to absord the blow.Hunter decided to use the amount of bokator and escrima he learned while in the peace core. He ran up to her at a blazing speed and grabbed her right arm and put it behind her. Then he stepped on her foot to keep it down so she couldn't kick
As he stood behind her where her free arm couldn't reach, he said, "Don't think you'll have me with a few punches, now. You'll find yourself mighty disappointed."
Pandora Lorrain - November 28, 2007 02:45 AM (GMT)
Chi found herself pinned against him, well she couldn't say that she didn't enjoy being close to him. Quite the contrary and the pain was nothing. There were times where she thrived on pain and he was foolish to believe that he could keep her there. If she didn't want to stay then she wouldn't.
She laughed her voice. "I would hope that you wouldn't simply crumble with the first punch. That would have left me very disappointed." She grinned wolfishly at him. "You made one mistake though. You underestimated me." She vanished from his grasp and reappeared in the middle of the room. "As much as I enjoyed being pressed against you, my mind vaguely remembered a fight."
She then rushed him, she may be small, but she had the strength on ten. She shoved him, sweeping his feet from underneath him. There was a chance that he would land on the floor on his back, she hoped he would.
Hunter Gabon - November 28, 2007 02:52 AM (GMT)
Hunter curved himself just in time, being able to bridge himself, roll over his hands and get back on his feet. He had practiced this movement many times and it was quick and flawless.
"You should know by now we Tarepha are all about the physical stuff, you can't just expect a shove to take us to the ground now. Now, what's this about you liking being close to me? Sounds like someone's got a bit of a thing goin' on."
Hunter jumped up on to the ceiling and crawled upside down over her and grabbed her shoulders and brought her up.
Pandora Lorrain - November 28, 2007 04:08 AM (GMT)
Chi laughed. "Oh I know. I used to be with a Tarepha, or more someone who became a Tarepha." She lifted an eyebrow, amused by his antics. "And you wouldn't hold a candle to him, then again he would go strong right from the beginning. I seem to have a weak spot for the bad boy." she shrugged her delicate shoulders. "Oh well."
She evaded his grasp and climbed the wall on her own. "I always got a thing going on. You should remember, that I may be a small, physically young girl, but I have an active libido, a very active libido. I'm a mature woman, would you expect anything less from me?" She looked at him from her place on the opposite wall. She launched herself across the room and tackled him off the ceiling. She landed on top of him successfully pining him down. "If I want something I usually get it. If I want to pin you down, I will and I can." She didn't have yo use her strength, she used her telekinesis. She was straddling him. He wasn't going anywhere.
Hunter Gabon - November 28, 2007 04:26 AM (GMT)
Hunter twisted and pulled, trying to get out of the telekinetic hold he had been put in. "Ugh, seems like you aren't lying." With another heavy twist he said, "Ughhhh, so do I even have to ask what it is you want, or you just going to show me instead?"
After a while of trying to worm out from under her, he finally admitted defeat. He relaxed and rolled his eyes his eyes.
"Alright kid, seems like you got me down. I'm pretty damn well tired now. Ah, I'm done fighting off this hold. Congratz, you won."
Pandora Lorrain - November 28, 2007 04:39 AM (GMT)
Her eyes flashed. It wasn't that fact that he had given up that annoyed her, oh no it was the terminology. He dared to call her a kid? She let out a low snarl. After everything that she had said, he still called her a kid. See that was the problem with vampires these days, they saw either the kid or the all powerful vampire. Either they treated her like a kid or they stood in awe. Was it truly that hard to simply be appreciated for being a woman?
She released and moved away, her shoulder shaking with anger and her body as tense as a board. A lot of people in her life has found her pretty, beautiful or even exotic. Her silver hair wasn't part of a ploy, she had been born with it. Now she was wondering if she was losing her touch, perhaps even going senile. That was a scary thought.
Hunter Gabon - November 28, 2007 04:44 AM (GMT)
Hunter didn't know why she got mad. He had thought he just told her he gave up. He never meant any pun by calling her a kid, he just calls a lot of people kids. It's like his "dude."
But still in awe, he asked, "Hey, what's the matter? One minute, you're all over me, and the next, you couldn't be further away. What got you all shook up like that? All I said was that I was done."
Pandora Lorrain - November 28, 2007 05:00 AM (GMT)
Chi turned towards him and pointed a finger directly in his chest, forcing him to take a step back. "I hate being called a kid, I hate it so much that it makes me very upset." she stepped away from him. "Look at me, I'm stuck in the body of a child, it is no wonder why I hate being compared to a child."
She sighed, her back cracking as she shifted one of her shoulders. "You probably meant nothing by it and I may have over reacted, but I don't like the words kid, child, children, teenager and adolescent when it is being used to refer to me. I prefer babe and even dude to any of those." She was sensitive, needless to stay.
Hunter Gabon - November 28, 2007 05:15 AM (GMT)
Hunter, now understanding the predicament walked up to her and gave her a hug.
"Alright then, hun. You're alright, you know that. You know what you want, but you just need to work on how you get it."
Hunter gave her a friendly peck on the cheek as he pulled away. Then a couple of gentle slaps on the same one. He did this, because he was raised with Sicilian morals, people did it to him all of the time.
"Now listen, if I do that again just catch me, I'll stop after a while."
Pandora Lorrain - November 28, 2007 05:39 AM (GMT)
Chi was grateful for his understanding. She didn't usually simply blow up in people's faces it wasn't her style. She felt a little better and was able to relax. She didn't like being stressed out and didn't like to being high in nerves. "Thank you for understanding." She knew where thanks was deserved and he deserved it.
She placed a gentle hand on his cheek. She kissed his lightly on the lips. "Thank you again."Her words came out soft.
Hunter Gabon - November 28, 2007 09:29 PM (GMT)
Hunter was surprised by that move. He hadn't really it to be like that. He expected a bit of a rougher kiss from someone who pinned him on the ground just to be on top of him. He still remained calm about, though.
"Don't worry about it. That's how I am. Besides, there's no reason for me to be mad at you."
For some reason though, despite that he hadn't felt a women's touch in such a long time, he didn't really feel a real sentimental connection to her. He didn't question it too much though, he just went with what happened.
Pandora Lorrain - November 29, 2007 02:58 AM (GMT)
Chi watched him. Did he expect her to be rough after being mad? She was rough when she was playful, there was no other time. He wanted rough, she'd give him rough in her own time. She did things on her time, if nothing happened then nothing happened. He'd have to understand that. It was her way of doing things that kept her going.
"Would you like me to pounce you? Is that what you want?" Amusement flickered in her eyes. "Would you prefer that?" She was the ancient one with a thousand questions, always questioning the motives of the younger, less experienced ones.
It wasn't a question of whether there was a connection or not, you didn't need a connection for sex, you didn't need a connection at all.
Hunter Gabon - November 29, 2007 03:07 AM (GMT)
It didn't take Hunter long to answer. "Sure, that seems to be a little more racey for my taste. That is to say, if you want to." He was always an altruist, always stating what he wants but helping everyone else with theirs, even in matters where it just didn't seem that important. He had always also been a masochist and very high-energy, the reason why he liked to be pounced.
And about that bit, yeah, it's just that in every (emphasis on 'every') other RP, there was always a connection with the kiss, and if I didn't make that bit clear, then it was a connection.
Pandora Lorrain - November 29, 2007 03:17 AM (GMT)
Chi lifted an eyebrow as she caught the thought of his being an altruist. A Tarepha, a masochist and an altruist. Was there anything in this person that could be more dissimilar? The masochist and Tarepha, went pretty much hand in hand, but he was altruistic too? Well she supposed that he could help others, but killing them usually wasn't the way.
Did she want to pounce on him? Was there ever a time that she didn't want to pounce on an eligible man? Not likely. So she pounced on him, straddling him at the waist. With one hand she grabbed the front of his shirt with one hand and lifting him up she kissed him roughly. She then released him. "Is that more to your liking?"
Hunter Gabon - November 29, 2007 03:29 AM (GMT)
He was this strange combination of things because he's your classic Gemini. Born June 3, he is everything and it's opposite. Sometimes this had its disadvantages, though.
As she kissed him, he put his around her waist, sliding one just behind, and the other higher as it went on.
When she asked the question, Hunter gave a small smile and raised an eye brow as he softly said said, "That's just what I had in mind." Then, with just a few seconds of that stop, he moved his head back toward her.
Pandora Lorrain - November 29, 2007 03:41 AM (GMT)
Chi was thrilled. Well she needed some entertainment in her life, she was old and had seen many things. There were so many stresses in the world, especially when it came to adapting to this new, weird world. To her it was weird, mortals simply evolved so fast and vampires had to keep up, it made things difficult sometimes.
She pulled him in roughly. She wanted to be with him, it didn't matter to her, if he didn't love her. She had very loose morales. She had no inhibitions on sex. She came from a period where it was ok for both men and women to experience the pleasure of joining.
Hunter Gabon - November 29, 2007 03:51 AM (GMT)
Soon, Hunter started to feel the constriction. Without stop to the kisses, he pulled off his tie, and over shirt. He put his hands back into place, with the lower one under her shirt to feel her bare, smooth skin. He put his higher hand closer to the neck to get a closer hold of her.
Pandora Lorrain - November 29, 2007 03:57 AM (GMT)
Chi's hand danced in delight over the bare skin. She loved the ability to touch skin. Her shirt vanished from her body. She loved her abilities. she could feel the cool air brushing over her skin, making the small hairs on her skin stand up on end.
Her hands scratched his bare skin, not deep enough to draw blood, but enough to get some attention from him. She ground her hips against his as she continued to kiss. The joy of being a vampire, extended strength and endurance. She didn't of to afraid of getting cold or running out of breath. She loved being a vampire.
