Title: Sing A Song.
Kamaria - April 1, 2004 01:42 AM (GMT)
Kamaria entered the park gradually, steps slow and sullen. She was wearing a long, flowing black skirt with a maroon top, which was almost a little too tight against her slim figure. Ebon hair was being swept in her face by the wind, shielding her deep gray pools. She wore nothing on her feet, slowly walking on the grass to get to her favorite spot. The swing. She sat down, and kicked off gently, rocking back and forth, singing a soft melody.
Home is behind, the world's ahead
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadow to the edge of night
Until the stars are all alight
Mist and shadow, cloud and shade
All shall fade. All... shall...fade
(-"The Steward of Gondor" Sung by Pippin)

Gabriel layed on a bench writing on a napkin. He kept shaking his head and crossing things out as he lay there lost in though. He was bored trying to fiquire out something to do other then writing poetry. He was bored and he wrote when he was bored so he tried to thikn of something he could do.
Kamaria - April 1, 2004 05:30 PM (GMT)
She stopped singing, having the uncomfortable feeling that someone else was around and had, perhaps, heard her. Slowing on the swing, Kam placed her feet upon the mulch that surrounded the small swing-set and took a look around. Her inquisitive gaze stopped on a bench not too far off, where there was a dark figure. Curiosity took over, and she began leisurely walking over to where the bench was.
Gabriel - April 1, 2004 10:14 PM (GMT)
He tap the pen on his thigh trying to think. The reason he hated writing was because his mistakes always made him so mad. He was so busy thinking he never sensed the immortal coming up to him until she was much closer. He looked over at her wondering what she needed or if she was just standing there for no reason.
Kamaria - April 1, 2004 11:46 PM (GMT)
"Gabriel?"She called out into the night softly, when she was only a few paces away. "You alright? You seem angry." She could sense these things in people, she didn't know why it was.
Gabriel - April 2, 2004 12:54 AM (GMT)
He looked over at her. "I'm not angry or not really. I just can't fiqure out whats wrong with this line in a poem I'm wrting." He sighed looking back at the poem wondering what she was doing here now.
Kamaria - April 2, 2004 03:22 AM (GMT)
She nodded. "Poetry can get frustrating.." She paused. "What are you doing out so late?" Kam looked up at the stars for a few moments, then back to him.
Gabriel - April 2, 2004 03:26 AM (GMT)
"Enjoying my time that I can stay outside. I don't know what else to do so I'm writing poems. What are you doing out here? Are you doing something out here. " He looked at her remembering the few nights ago. "How do your friend take it anyway?"
Kamaria - April 2, 2004 03:30 AM (GMT)
"I was just swinging on that swing over there. I find it relaxing." She moved his legs off the bench and sat down next to him. Grinned for a few moments. "He was..worried. But he's fine now."
Gabriel - April 2, 2004 03:32 AM (GMT)
"Glad to see I didn't get you into trouble. I was worried for a little." He looked back at the sky. "So when did it happen to you?" He knew he was somewhat sudden but he wanted to know if anyone around here was older then himself.
Kamaria - April 2, 2004 03:39 AM (GMT)
She stayed silent for a few moments, then spoke softly. "When I was just about to turn sixteen. I still remember it perfectly. I find it horrifying to think about, actually. It was so painful...You?"
Gabriel - April 2, 2004 03:42 AM (GMT)
"I asked for my gift. I had the plague at the time and I didn't want to die. I had heard rumors of a blood sucking women who was suducing men near my village so I found her and here I am. It wasn't very painful in my eyes." He sighed remembering the experance.
Kamaria - April 2, 2004 03:44 AM (GMT)
"It was in mine. I was so young." She sighed. "Sometimes, I miss being..alive, I guess I could call it. But other times I don't." She shrugged. "It all depends how you look at things..How old are you?"
Gabriel - April 2, 2004 03:50 AM (GMT)
"I think I'm coming up on my 800th year sortly." He never relized how old he was. He knew others were older but he still thought he was rather old for most vampires. "How old are you if you don't mind me asking after all?"
Kamaria - April 2, 2004 04:41 PM (GMT)
She thought for a moment. She was pretty young. "I'm..only around 100" She said softly, wondering if her being so young would change his opinion on her. She had never told anyone her age before..
Gabriel - April 2, 2004 10:06 PM (GMT)
"Ah I see. So where are you from? Around here or from somewhere else?" Age didn't mean much after all not in his eyes of course. He was just glad to have found someone to talk too. He brushed some hair out of his face so he could get a better look at her.
Kamaria - April 3, 2004 01:06 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, around here. A few towns over. I was..kind of chased out. I went back recently, but.." Paused, and lifted up her shirt until it was just under her breast, showing a deep gash where a stake barely missed her heart. "Someone remembered me and followed me back here."
Gabriel - April 3, 2004 11:12 PM (GMT)
He winced at the wound she showed him."Had a hard time keeping your immortality a secret then I geuss." He sighed feeling bad for her and what she had gone through. "Ok I relize I'm prying but what's with you and that guy? If it's personal then don't tell me but if it's no big then feel free to tell me."
Kamaria - April 4, 2004 03:09 AM (GMT)
She shrugged, nodding slowly. "Yeah.." She didn't answer him right away, but finally, she did. "It's..kind of personal." What would happen if she told him they were..together? Would he never want to speak to her again? Oh
Gabriel - April 4, 2004 05:21 AM (GMT)
He had the urge to go into her mind but fought it off."Ok that's completly up to you." He still wanted to know but he knew better then to ask again. He looked up at the sky trying to think of what to say next. "What do you think of the moon? I mean I've seen countries fall, Ideals die, Religions go into the Abyss but the moon it has never truly changed has it?"
Kamaria - April 4, 2004 10:04 PM (GMT)
She followed his gaze, up towards the moon, and smiled. "I love the moon. It's the one thing that, even though you sometimes can't see it, it's always there.." Sighed.
Gabriel - April 4, 2004 10:23 PM (GMT)
"Yes your right. It is a n amazing thing that is always there. I recently found out we've been there before is that true has man really been able to reach the moon?"
Kamaria - April 4, 2004 10:44 PM (GMT)
She nodded. "Isn't it amazing? People have actually been there! I wish..I wish I could go." Ever since she was a little girl, she had loved the stars and the moon. She is, indeed, a dreamer.
Gabriel - April 4, 2004 11:59 PM (GMT)
"You do relize you are immortal right? You could work and work until you could go to the moon but it would have to be a night launch and if something went wrong not even being a vampire would save you from the massive firy explosion so it is a huge risk one I'm not gonna take cause I just love watching the heavens from earth even though I know I could reach the moon and who knows sonner or later maybe I'll get to go to another planet that would be worth the risk."
Kamaria - April 5, 2004 12:09 AM (GMT)
She shook her head. "I could never do that. It's too much work. Not to mention of risk." Shrugged a shoulder. "I think I just might prefer watching from down here aswell.."
Gabriel - April 5, 2004 12:48 AM (GMT)
"Yes I geuss you are right. Well I geuss both of us are just hopless dreamers are we not." He gave a slight laugh. He sighed at the way very few mortals felt the need to come here at night. It was as if they had the park to themselves which was good since he was getting hungry and the sight of a mortal would simply make him wish to feed even more.
Kamaria - April 5, 2004 03:39 AM (GMT)
She chuckled. "Yes, two hopeless dreamers indeed." Smiled. She was used to not eating much, since not many mortals roamed the streets at night. But she would probably find something to eat as soon as morning came, just before dawn, when careless mortals went to work early.
Gabriel - April 5, 2004 03:43 AM (GMT)
He rubbed one of his fangs with his finger thinking. He knew it would be dawn soon so he was worried about time but for the time being the sun held no threat. "So you know this city right? I was just wondering could you tell me who or what to watch out for I'm not really sure of what not to do yet."
Kamaria - April 5, 2004 03:49 AM (GMT)
"I know some parts of the city." Paused, thinking. "I don't really know of anyone to watch out for, or any place. But I do know that the homeless or kids hanging out in abandoned buildings at night or early morning are easiest to catch." Smirked. "Trust me, I live in one."
Gabriel - April 5, 2004 03:53 AM (GMT)
"Atleast live somewhere. Currently I live in a graveyard." He laughed he hadn't minded living in an old grave of a person he had pretended to be 2 hundred years ago when the city was still a very small town. "Thanks for your help I've sorta been outta it for awhile now."
Kamaria - April 6, 2004 08:00 PM (GMT)
She laughed softly. "Won't catch too many people at night around there.." Grinned. "You're welcome. I've been out of it too. But, I'm back now. Hopefully to stay."
Gabriel - April 10, 2004 03:21 PM (GMT)
"Yes you are right. It will be a challenge to find a mortal that I could feed from." He gave a slight smile looking at her then he sighed. "Well I think it would be safer if I headed home for the both of us."
Kamaria - April 11, 2004 01:37 AM (GMT)
She tilted her head some, moving some strands of hair out of her face. "Why is it safer for the both of us if you leave?" She seemed curious, confused even. Was it Jonah? Jonah hadn't been around lately..where was he anyways?
Gabriel - April 13, 2004 05:40 AM (GMT)
"It is a long story that I shall tell you the next time we run into and with how often we ran into eachother that could be rather soon. Send my regards to your friend and send him my apologize if I cause and problems for either of you."
Kamaria - April 15, 2004 12:28 AM (GMT)
She stayed silent for a moment, taking in what he said. Then, she nodded once. "I understand. I hope to see you soon, and talk about this story of yours." She would talk to Jonah, she needed to anyways. Something was..wrong with him. She frowned, thinking, but then smiled. "Goodbye, my friend." She turned slowly, and walked off into the night.
Gabriel - April 15, 2004 02:28 AM (GMT)
He nodded and turned and started to walk away. His eyes started to look cracked and he spit up some blood. The vampiric virus was still trying to finish taking over his body after all this time. You see when he was made he had the plague so the two virus where fighting eachother. That's why he had to leave every now and then.
