Go to the original site you saw the picture, save it to your computer, and then in the avatar options, choose to upload your own. That's how you can make sure it shows up.

The term in question is hotlinking. The site that has that picture does not allow hotlinking, meaning it doesn't allow its images to be used in other places. A reason is bandwidth, because every computer that views an image by them uses their bandwidth. And you wanna keep all that bandwidth or your site goes down...

So, yea, save it to your computer and upload it. Then we'll be able to see it.

As of currently I can see my avatar, it doesn't make sense. And the picture that saves under .jpeg is too big for the site while the other picture saves as art or something retarded

You need to downsize it. Make the height 60 pixels tall, and have the width just move smaller in proportion.
