Title: something like life
Description: ~Catalina

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 05:06 AM (GMT)
Benedict made his way into the Tequila with his usual attire. A pair of black, skin tight, straight-legged pants, a Slipknot band tee, and his red converse. He also had on his trusty beany hat with his black hair sticking out slightly from under the brim. Making his way through the dancing mortals and to the bar where he made himself comfortable on a bar stool and ordered a bottle of Raspberry Twisted Smirnoff. Waiting for anything to happen was what Ben was good at and here he was again, waiting...

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 05:12 AM (GMT)
Catalina's eyes moved over the swarming crowd. The bloody mary in front of her was almost done, and she would soon be ordering her third. Catalina shrugged off her dark purple hoodie and shoved it under her on the bar stool. She stood up a stretched, her black Pillar t-shirt riding up slightly. She scanned the bar and caught sight of a darkly clothed figure. "Not something to fit the backround around here." She muttered to herself taking a sip of her drink.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 05:16 AM (GMT)
Ben felt the press of eyes on him and looked around casually catching sight of a young girl stretching at the bar a few stool down. An interesting character it seems... Without breaking sight of her, he took a heavy pull from his smirnoff and stood, making his way over to her with his drink in hand.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 05:19 AM (GMT)
Catalina flopped back down into her seat and raised her eyebrows when she noticed the man coming towards her. Dammit. She thought Should learn not to stare. Catalina nodded to the bar tender, signalling another drink and finished the one in front of her.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 05:22 AM (GMT)
Ben showed almost no expression as he sat down on the stool next to hers, "Benedict." Taking another pull from his smirnoff he smirked at her waiting for her reply, not really knowing why he was even sitting there with her but knew he had nothing better to do besides drink and socialize.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 05:29 AM (GMT)
"Catalina." Was the bored reply. Catalina grabbed her glass as her new drink arrived and took a sip. She was silent for a moment. "This isn't one of my favorite places." She said with obvious distaste, looking at the throng of bodies pressing against eachother.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 05:32 AM (GMT)
"Well,..." looking around with little interest, "it's better than sitting at home getting drunk. At least here it's warm." His voice thick with sarcasm, he smirked and with one final pull from his drink finished it off.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 05:36 AM (GMT)
"I would rather be home. As long as I could get drunk." Catalina added the last part dryly. She took another sip of her drink. "I dont mind dancing," She began, moving away from a couple who stumbled by, "But this looks like a giant orgy."

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 05:40 AM (GMT)
"well, perception is what the eye beholds so seeing a lot of people dancing so closely as an orgy is in the eye of the beholder." Benedict smirked to himself, he almost hated how sarcastically philisophical he gets after a mixture of exhaustion and alcohol,... almost. "So,.. you do like dancing?"

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 05:45 AM (GMT)
Catalina downed her drink. "Of course I love to dance. I've been around enough to learn to like and love alot of things, even if not alot of people." She took a deep breath and took out a smoke. "I'm wondering whether or not I should have another drink." She admited, looking at the many empty glasses around her.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 05:47 AM (GMT)
"well, one more never hurt anyone. Desorono on the rocks, tall." Ben smirked at the tender getting himself another drink, "And for the lady." He cocked an eyebrow in her direction.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 05:56 AM (GMT)
Catalina shrugged. "Tequila. I've had to many Bloody Marys as it is." Then she laughed. "Lady...Thats old." Catalina stood up and reached into the pocket of her black denim jeans and pulled out a lighter.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 06:02 AM (GMT)
Before she could light her cig he whipped out his skull zippo and flapped it up to light it for her. "Mind if I bum one?" he asked without any emotion, he was supposed to be quitting but hell, when you're dead you're dead right.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 06:05 AM (GMT)
Catalina pulled out a silver case and handed it to him. "Take a few for all I care." She said, taking a drag. She snorted as she saw a blonde girl grinding her hips against one man in front of her while another danced behind her. "She would have been ruined way back when."

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 06:10 AM (GMT)
Ben took only one and fallowed her gaze to the whorish blonde with the two men, "A woman's body is her only true posession, and so it is hers to ruin." Lighting his barrowed cig and taking a long awaited drag, he looked over Catalina's features, her jawline the way her skin looked under the now strobing lights of the bar. She was a beautiful creature, but his eyes returned to the blonde, "And yes, way back when, she wouldn't have been ruined."

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 06:14 AM (GMT)
Catalina laughed. "There was a time when simply kissing a person in public ruined everything for you." She flicked the ash off the end of her smoke and took another drag.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 06:21 AM (GMT)
"For which our kind understand modesty slightly more, and even appreciate it." He too flicked his ashes and took a long drag, took a swig from his drink and looked back to her with a smile. "That's why we're the superior species."

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 06:24 AM (GMT)
Catalina finished her smoke and dropped it to the floor, pressing down on it with her boot heel. "Personally, I dont care which the is the superior race. As long as the lower stays out of my way." Catalina tapped her foot to the beat that came on. "Another drink." She said to the bartender.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 06:29 AM (GMT)
Ben smiled at her composure and how much resentment she apparently held for just about everything around her. He realized that with another small swig his drink too was gone. Looking around her tried to decide how many drinks he was planning on tonight and decided, hell, why not get smashed. "This time I think I'll have a import, Canadian, if you don't mind." He spoke to the tender before taking another drag from his dying cig.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 06:37 AM (GMT)
Catalina shook her head as she felt a small bit of dizziness. She was someone who could hold her liquor, so she knew she would be fine in moment. She took a long swig from her drink and smiled coldly. "I used to love toying with the boys at these places." She admitted plucked a peanut out of the bowl in front of her.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 06:41 AM (GMT)
Smirking he retaliated, "I used to love being one of the boys that seductive little girls tried to mess around with." And he did too, in a way he almost missed it, but in this city it wasn't too hard to find action and food from the same source. "But women today are so fragile, misguided, and.." for a second he couldn't think of the word, "dumb. The new age of women is a struggling one and it shows on the face of every mortal female I see."

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 06:45 AM (GMT)
Catalina laughed. "I'm misguided. But far from dumb or fragile." She looked at a group of girls chatting and laughing loudly. "When I see their faces, I see nothing." She said honestly.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 06:49 AM (GMT)
"But when you look at them, do you not see how unacknowledging they are? How ignorant to detail or how much value they place on superficiality?" He hated to speak so rudely of a gender he greatly adored but some women were, for lack of a better word, useless. Crushing his cig butt into the underside of the bar counter and drinking off half of his imported beer, he looked at Catalina. "When I was a child a woman was Gods gift to man, now women are nothing but puppets or toys."

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 07:01 AM (GMT)
"I see creatures to interested in material value to pay much attention to anything else." She admitted. "And I think there has been a role reversal. Men believe that they are God's gift to women. Make no mistake, I love men, but alot of them seem to think they are bigger than they are."

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 07:05 AM (GMT)
"simple male ego. We can't help it." Ben smiled evily and finished his drink off, "but the problem truelly lies in not just the newer, definately dumber generations, but also in us. The older ones who know already what's right or wrong, or what's acceptable or morally stabalizing." He looked around at a little brunette across the dance floor grinding on another girl. "What is it with todays male generations and lesbianism?"

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 07:10 AM (GMT)
Catalina thought for a moment. "Men want to try and experience things they cant. Women with other women interests them because its something they can never do, unless they plan on changing their gender." She tapped her fingers on the bar top, mimmicking the rythm blasting from the PA system.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 07:16 AM (GMT)
Ben thought for a moment and realized how true what she said was. For the first time in weeks he couldn't think of anything to say and decided simply sit there and listen intently to the music pounding down on him through the air around. The body heat and music made him laugh, realizing how much badly this really did remind him of a sick twisted fuck-fest.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 07:17 AM (GMT)
Jumping at the sound of laughter, Catalina looked at Ben. "Whats so funny?" She asked sharply, her fingers halting in mid tap.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 07:20 AM (GMT)
"Nothing, my imagination and the coincidences between this particular moment and another." He stood up and adjusted his shirt around his wire thin but muscular body, "I'm bored. Shall we walk? I hear the VIP lounge here is quite a place during the am hours." He smiled putting out a hand like a gentleman.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 07:23 AM (GMT)
Catalina half smiled and placed her hand in the offered one. "Walking would be nice. I've been sitting for so long my ass has gone numb." She stood and grabbed her sweater, tying it around her waist.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 07:29 AM (GMT)
Walking past a few smelly, sweaty mortals and up the neon lit stairs to the VIP section they walked. They reached an empty booth and he gester for her to leave her sweater while they walked. "I assure you it will be here when we circle back around after our walk." He smiled reassuringly.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 07:33 AM (GMT)
Catalina smirked as she dropped her sweater into the booth. "I'll trust you." She said. She dropped his hand and walked forward. "Music isn't as loud back here." She observed.

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 07:37 AM (GMT)
Ben smirked, "That's why it's a rockin spot apparently." He turned for a second to look at something far along the row of lit booths and noticed a couple making out, "well, their damned to hell." he giggled foolishly, "Wish I could stapple their tongues together." He smiled evily.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 07:39 AM (GMT)
Catalina covered her mouth to mask a burst of laughter. "I guess thats all that goes on here. Not very tasteful. And they're loud too. They cover the last bits of sound from the music." Catalina grimaced. "They sound like plungers."

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 07:45 AM (GMT)
Ben smiled broadly, "It's amazing they haven't stopped for breathe yet." He laughed, "Wonder what they're thinking..." looking at them for a second Ben waited for the echoes of their thoughts and heard only their real life moaning and what the man was thinking. "He wishes she was someone else!!" Bursting out laughing he looked to Catalina.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 07:51 AM (GMT)
Catalina smiled. "I'm sure she wishes the same thing. Hes not that good looking." Catalina tucked her hair behind her ears. "I wonder..." She said. She walked over to the couple. "You know, there are rooms offered, and since no ear plugs are offered to the rest of us, I suggest you rent a room." She smiled to herself as she turned on her heel and walked back to Ben. "They'll be kissing again in 5-4-3-2-1.." She turned around and smirked. "I was right. And they're louder than ever."

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 07:56 AM (GMT)
Ben burst out laughing, holding his stomach while he listened to the smacking of the couple kissing and thinking about what she did. "You know, they could at least have shown some tact and made an effort to wait a few more seconds." He giggled stupidly looking at Catalina. After a few more seconds of drunken laughter he gained his composure back and smiled at Cat, which he had off the top of his head decided to call her from here out. "So, shall we walk?" he put out his arm, bent for her to take.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 07:58 AM (GMT)
Catalina accepted his offered arm. "Tactfullness is obviously not one of their talents...I'm sure they range more towards handcuffs and chains." She said with amusment. " They walked a few feet and she began to laugh. "I wonder if she knew that he was actually repulsed by her."

Aurore Miller - December 29, 2006 08:02 AM (GMT)
Ben laughed, "I doubt it, she's so absorbed in making out that she probably wouldn't even care if she knew anyway!!" He laughed. He tried to remember when the last time he had an actual good time without whips and chains. "Thank you by the way." He smirked at the girl on his arm.

Catalina Morshire - December 29, 2006 08:07 AM (GMT)
"Thank you for what?" She asked, raising her eyebrows. "I never gave you anything, and I cant remember complimenting you yet." Catalina giggled. "But if you keep behaving the way you are I may have to change that."
