Name: Chou Hamasaki
Gender: Female
Age: 724
Apparent Age: 13
Place of Birth: Agawa, Kochi, Japan
Species: Vampire.
Coven: Tarepha
Appearance: Raven hair reaches down to the small of her back, and frames her naturally pale face almost white like the makeup geisha wear. Standing at a small 4’3” Chou is quite petite. She looks quite weak, and easy to conquer, but looks aren’t everything. Brilliant crimson eyes are her most startling features. Even if she isn’t it always seems as if she is staring off at something distant. If one gets her attention it seems as if she can see into your soul. Chou sometimes wears a stereotypical Japanese schoolgirl uniform, but mostly she wears a traditional kimono. Her favorite kimono is definitely black with floral pattern.

History: Born June 15, 1281 during the second Hun invasion. Even before she was born Chou was cursed by the village. Her mother had difficulty giving birth to her, and it took nearly two days of labor. Also a famine was affecting the village that would become known as Agawa. After Chou was born she was picked on by the villagers, and even went as far as taking it out on her mother. The villagers called Chou and her mother whores, and that they would never reach Heaven. One day when she was ten Chou was attacked by the villagers, and watched as her mother tried to save her. Her mother was killed by the angry mob, and Chou managed to escape the village. She wandered through the forest near her village plotting her revenge, stealing food where she could. Then one night Chou found a rich nobleman who took her in. This nobleman ended up being a vampire, who changed her a little while after taking her in. Chou stayed with him for a while before returning to her village. Chou slaughtered all of the villagers, and even burned it to the ground.
Chou wandered from place to place beginning a kind of revenge service. If she felt someone with a particularly strong grudge against someone she would go to them, and kill for them. Of course the price for her services included money, but also she required the person to make a blood oath to her. She found herself in Edo where she even started a rumor about her service. Chou enjoyed her service, and loved to make those her clients wanted dead suffer. Of course she took a little while researching the client and his/her grudge before killing for them.
Chou stayed in Japan watching it slowly grow. She found another village, a village similar to hers, but it was nicer, and the people didn’t turn her away at first. This was in 1334 It was the closest thing to a home she had in a very long time, but then her neighbors started becoming suspicious, as she only came out during the night, she looked extraordinarily pale, and also people and livestock started vanishing. Chou left the village being asked before being forced out. Unlike herself she didn’t hold a grudge against them. Once again she was forced to wander Japan as it advanced around her, leaving her to be thirteen for eternity. After she left the village no one had heard from the Oni Shoujo for a very long time.
The beginning of the Meiji Restoration saw the return of the Oni Shoujo, who enacted a person’s revenge for them, and Chou found herself in Edo again, this time it was renamed Tokyo, and now the center of power in all of Japan. This was the perfect chance for Chou to be paid to feed. Assassins were paid to kill, she was paid to enact a person’s revenge. It was perfect. Then one night she stowed away on an American ship knowing that the authorities were after her. True she was a vampire, but it would be a pain for her. Chou slept the whole journey back to the Americas, with the little clothes she had. She wanted a new place, something a little different from the Japanese she was so used to.
In the United States Chou was caught off guard at how different it was compared to Japan. The food was quite different, though she had no need for it. The blood even tasted much more different than the Japanese, much fattier. She lived with it, and began learning English where she could. She traveled from California up towards the North leaving a trail of bodies that would impress most psychopaths. It was only fair in her mind that people got a taste of what she went through as a child, the fear.
About 1894 Chou entered the wilderness that was Canada. This was where she wanted to be, where her new home was going to be. It was peaceful, and it was easy for her to hide from the mortals when need be. She kept up her job of enacting a person’s revenge, but this time she was smarter making it look like an accident. With all the money she had gained over the past couple of hundred years Chou was able to keep herself in some rich housing, and watched as cities expanded throughout Canada. Her favorite was definitely Demaitre, and she joined the Tarepha after moving in. For the past couple of decades Chou has been living dealing out revenge for mortals, and it was fun for her.
Now Chou is still known as the Oni Shoujo, and business can’t be better, especially with so many things happening. She is lonely, but has never turned another mortal into a vampire.
