Title: "i Feel Like Hurting Something."
Description: Dead Teenage Angst?

Shade - March 1, 2004 02:57 AM (GMT)
"YOU PEOPLE SUCK!"
He called out to no one in particular, though hoping at the same time his message got across to someone. They were boring. They - people, everyone. You'd think being a vampire and all he'd actually be able to find something constructive to do.
Ok, fine, so if they wouldn't entertain him he'd entertain himself. He just doubted they'd like it better this way. He was amused easier by destructive things.

He felt his back slide easily against the cold hard brick wall of one side of the alley, almost surprised on how quietly he went about moving, and peered across the edge. His light blue eyes looking sinisterly playful. He watched a man walk past, a woman, another man, oh well. Better now then never. Another woman hurried down the sidewalk, shoes clicking the pavement, and when she started to pass him, he lunged at her, knocking her onto her back and pinning her for a moment (taking a quick second to grin happily) before jumping off and running back to his hiding place, and watched her lay there for a moment (obviously shocked and terrified) before getting up slowly, unharmed, and running away.
His few moments of glee were big ones. He was satisfied for a small bit, much like a lion cub would be after play-fighting with a brother or a sister. He hadn't needed to fight, but it was fun, and sort of practice.

He eased into a crouch against the wall and flicked a few pebbles across to the opposite wall. That hadn't lasted long, and he was bored again. He turned his head. Maybe someone else would pass by and he could repeat the procedure.
But no such luck.
It looked empty to him now. She must've screamed and scared people away.
Stupid people.

Kiara - March 1, 2004 04:16 AM (GMT)
There was the sound of shoes hitting the pavement, more so than regularly walking. This girl... She seemed to be a little ticked off, feet almost pounding the gravel of the alley as she walked down it. No doubt, she was in a bad mood then. Things hadn't gone as planned earlier...

Kiara, she had just gotten back from her trip to a more tropical city to stay with some relatives for a while. She definally needed that trip, after what had happened at home... What had happened here, in this town. But, of course, her parents were struggling with payments and such, so Kiara got a few odd jobs, sved up some money, and moved out. Well... The odd jobs ended, and she wabout to be homeless, and her parents wouldn't even lend her a penny. "You moved out, that meant you were ready to be indepent. So you don't need money from us," came the reply from her mother, and after a few angry and annoyed sighs, Kiara hung up on her, and decided to take a walk to cool off.

"What in the hell is she thinking?!" The blonde grumbled, arms stiff at her sides, hands clenching and unclenching. "It's not like I'm rich either... And I moved out to help them, and this is the tahnks I get? Being broke? Argh, I swear.." she continued, sighing.

Shade - March 2, 2004 03:19 AM (GMT)
He smelled her before he heard her.
Not in a bad way either, but he knew she was coming.
Maybe he was hungrier than he'd thought.

Nevertheless, he decided to play around a bit longer.
He pressed himself against the wall and tilted his head to the side a bit, looking down at his clothes, a black t-shirt and a pair of loose-fitting blue jeans, he wondered why she didn't notice him as she trotted past.
'Must be caught up thinking about something...' he thought.
Well, better now then never. And he was still bored.

He stood up straight (hands shoved in his pockets, casual boy) and started off behind her, taking care to look as innocent as possible, more so to play around, and didn't take much care to being quiet.

Kiara - March 2, 2004 06:13 AM (GMT)
"She better come around... But then, I've always been on my own, so not like it matters. Only difference now is I have nothing... Stupid parents," the girl continued, sighing, as she seemed to relax a bit, a little of the tension releasing from her shoulders. Her mid-back length blonde hair was down, swaying with her movements as she walked. Next, her pale arms, not pale pale, as a vampires, so to say, but she was pale, nonetheless, folded in front of her, and then she stopped.

"Did I...?" Kiara had started to question, slowly cocking her head, only slightly glancing behind her for a moment. She took a few more steps, then stopped and turned, calling, "Hello??" as the same moment.

Shade - March 2, 2004 08:46 PM (GMT)
He froze.
Whoa, nice going.
After a couple blinks, he settled down again, careful to calm himself and look normal.
"... hi." he muttered quietly, his eyes focused on the ground, his normally loud and eager voice reduced to a meer mumble.
He glanced up, pretending to be surprised at her slight confusion. "... I wasn't sneaking up on you!" he quickly dismissed, his voice running fast.
Mental kick.
...smooth. Real smooth.

Kiara - March 2, 2004 08:57 PM (GMT)
Kiara half jumped at someone actually being there. So it wasn't her imagination, and she wasn't losing it. That's a relief. She'd become doubtful at the fact of being sane rescently. Blinking a few times, she forced herself to relax, making the earlier incidents move to the side, so she would have room to think about what was going on here and now.

"... You weren't sneaking up on me, hmm?" The girl questioned, voice soft, a hint of joking in it. "I seee... Well, the odds are um.. Against you," she added, a small smile forming.

Shade - March 3, 2004 01:51 AM (GMT)
He let out a breathy laugh.
"The odds are always against me." he proclaimed almost arrogantly. A smirk forming on his face as well, a fang partially poked out when he lifted the right side of his mouth to smile, and he either didn't notice or didn't care. It was dark anyway, she'd have to be close to notice it.
"So... do you usually risk your life and walk down alleys when it's late or are you just trying to start a new trend or somethin'?" He babbled quickly, curiosity and amusement in his blue eyes.

Kiara - March 3, 2004 02:32 AM (GMT)
Kiara glanced around, and it sunk in she was in an alley. Good going, Kiara! Get the award for the smarest observer! She could feel her body tense up slightly, but forced herself to remain cool. Besides, panicing would have a bad effect. "Well, I'd never realy thought about risking my life. So, I'm trying to set the trend. Seems like it's catching on already.... What are -you- doing out here?" she asked, smile broadening slightly, her own ice blue eyes meeting his.

Shade - March 3, 2004 05:18 AM (GMT)
He grinned. "I was bored..." he shrugged, scratching an imaginary itch on his arm. "I'm getting sorta hungry now though so I don't know how much longer I'm gonna stick around..." he added, playfullness dancing in his face. She probably didn't catch the joke, hell, probably never seen a vampire outside of Dracula movies but it was still said with a cute attitude, a kid-likeness he loved to use as a tool. Being young had it's perks sometimes.

Kiara - March 3, 2004 09:18 PM (GMT)
"Ah, yes," Kiara said with a small nod. "Boredom can lead to strange ideas and actions," she replied, knowing oh so well the truth in what she said, then looked up to the sky for a moment. The stars were barely visible, due to the lights of the city, which was a bummer. The stars were always nice to look at...

But, au contraire, that vampire was wrong about one thing. True, she didn't catch the meaning of what he said, the true meaning. But, she had met a vampire. Three actually. Was actually lucky to get away from one alive. The trick he had pulled... Gave her a shiver just thinking about it. But that's why she had taken the vacation far, far away from her, to calm down, and maybe force herself to believe if was all just a bad dream.

Shade - March 4, 2004 02:59 AM (GMT)
"So since we've basically agreed we have no good reason for being here..." he paused, shoved his hands in his pockets again, shrugged. Innocent enough. "You wanna grab something to eat?" His voice was blunt and his face straight. Nothing was given away, though his mouth was drawn in a very small frown. Solemn, almost. But his straight shaggy hair made him look all too playful to be completely serious. He seemed more generally interested in his suggestion than suspicious. He shuggled his foot against the ground and kicked a pebble, similar to the one he'd tossed against the wall.

"I mean... if you don't mind me too much." he said quietly.

Kiara - March 5, 2004 02:00 AM (GMT)
Kiara tilted her head to the side a bit, blinking slightly, the ice blue orbs that were her eyes watching him with curiousity. She didn't get that question often, especially from someone whom she had just met, in an alley nonetheless...

But still, he didn't look dangerous, really. And there'd be no harm right? Just going for a bite to eat. True, she wasn't extremely hungry, but food was always nice. So she nodded her head. "Sure, that'd be nice... Oh, and no, you're not a bother at all," she replied with a small smile.

Shade - March 5, 2004 04:28 AM (GMT)
He grinned good-naturedly, uinfortunately showing a bit of his fangs more clearly in the process. He didn't seem to bother to notice though.
"Hey, nice. What do you want? Anywhere you wanna go, you know?" He let out a short breathy laugh.

Kiara - March 5, 2004 04:36 AM (GMT)
Kiara had imagined that, right? The white teeth, the two that seemed a bit longer than the rest. Vampire fangs...

No, no, no, no, no! That was a crazy thought. Another shiver passed through the girl spine as the memories came rushing back. No, she didn't need this right now. Out of anything, it was the least she needed. But, the three vampires. It wasn't real... It was all a dream. Can't believe crazy things like that, can you? Of course she knew alot, but that was just from books, myths. But...

She tried shrugging off the thoughts, and in turn, shrugged to her question, somehow hearing it through all the commotion in her mind. "Doesn't really matter to me. I can settle for anything," she replied.

Shade - March 6, 2004 03:55 AM (GMT)
He grinned again, and moved up next to her, perfectly friendly looking. "Hey, me too." he responded smoothly. "There isn't a lot of places to eat around here though... I was sorta counting on ... you." he finished brightly, his back was leaned against the wall of the alley at an angle, a messy-looking way to stand, but seemed comfortable nonetheless. He shoved his hands absently into the pockets of his jacket. It seemed almost unwilling from him, but his eyes started to wander down to her throat.

Kiara - March 6, 2004 04:01 AM (GMT)
Kiara blinked, then smile slightly. She still felt a bit self concious, and her right arm bent behind her back, latching onto the crevice of her left. She bit her lip slightly. "Counting on me? That's a first," she replied with a slight laugh. Her opinion had always seemed to not matter much, but wasn't like she wanted to share them much anyway. "Well... McDonald's doesn't sound too appetizing. Maybe a coffeshop place or something?" she asked with a shrug, glancing up at the sky again for a moment.
