History(Appearance is in there and I'll bold it.) -He left. That was really all that could be said about the life of Gabriel Rezlin, for through his entire life the lad had never managed to stay in one place long enough to truly find anything he was looking for.

Why he left was anyone's guess really because it wasn't as if his life was not blessed by the spark of the Almighty, nor was he particularly abused in life by his family however from a young age it was clear that this boy would have a hard time finding anything to truly calm his roaming feet. Perhaps it was for that very reason that at the age of fifteen his father helped find him a spot as a squire for one Sir Treste Galvan, one of the famous Knights Templar and a particularly horrific individual. Given it was not as if Gabriel was beaten by this knight, nor was he abused by the older squire, Mitchifer, for they became quite close friends, but rather it was Sir Galvan's actions to others which caused Gabriel to grow to hate this man and much of what he stood for.

It was 1292 that Gabriel first found himself at odds with Sir Galvan, and this was the day which would ultimately led to the knights death six years later. Gabriel had been caring for one of the knights three horses that day while Mitchifer busied himself polishing both armor and lance, so it was shortly after Gabriel had finished his duties that he came to the room which Galvan kept for himself inside of the inn which was currently holding them in the southern portion of Hungary. Noises arose from this room and being a mere seventeen years old Gabriel found them quite perplexing, but nothing in his mind had prepared him to open the door and see Galvan standing over a young nude girl who was bleeding quite badly from both of her h eyes, but in fact it was merely the burnt remnants of eyes which bled such a horrific red hue. Of course his entrance was nothing along the lines of silence and as such it no sooner than his eyes had taken in this horror that Sir Galvan was standing before him and vowing him into silence. That day seared itself into Gabriel's mind, and as if God had chosen to torment this boy even farther it was that next day that Gabriel was informed that a young blind girl, being deemed simply Alexi, would be traveling with them to the holy land.

Maybe that is what led Gabriel to murder the most “noble” of knights, but the fact remains that every year they spent on their incredibly slow journey to Jerusalem was plagued with Gabriel's increased silence. For listening to this girl sob every night after Sir Galvan “played” with her drove such deep hatred into Gabriel that two years after becoming a sergeant in the Knights Templar he hunted down the knight. For by then he had grown into a man. His thick brown hair was cut short, but slightly messily and he had grown to stand at a respectable 5'11, with enough muscle to bring him to 170lbs. His face had leaned down to show two strong cheek bones and now his dark green eyes always had a dangerous glint to them. He was not going to fail this time, for now he had the power to take what he wanted.

“I still remember that day so clearly, oh that horrifically beautiful day. There is something about the desert which washes things away, as if God is closer to you there and he somehow uses the sand and heat to temper you so that your sins just wash away, but now I know better...sins do not wash away from even the most tempered of men, for rather they seep into them and fester just under the skin...in a place no surgeons knife can reach.
I can't explain exactly what happened, but I remember his eyes as he looked into mine those eyes which were filled with such fear that I still relish them. My sword's hilt felt light then like it was an extension of my arms, like it was given to me for the sole reason of purging the world of this particular evil. You know what is most amazing though? I considered sparing him. Yes, after all he did I actually considered sparing the monster. It wasn't until I heard the whimpering that my rage came back, but now it was different then before. I know longer wanted just for those damn lungs of his stop moving, but I wanted to bathe the entire desert in his fucking blood. The bastard kept begging though, and that only made it worse. He was done with her he said, now he only wanted her daughter. Yes, the fuck had implanted his seed in her and now was expecting me to allow another woman into his life. It was easy then, to flick my wrist and cut open his wind pipe. I'll admit it, I enjoyed watching him cling to the ruined mess which had been his throat as he tried to hold in his blood. I enjoyed it even more as I cut open his stomach and watched both blood and organs began to slip from the opening I made in his muscle. He deserved death then, and I delivered that punishment to him. I haven't touched one since though...I let my sword drop and I haven't taken one up since then. I was heartbroken when she died in childbirth...my Alexi died because I hadn't come fast enough...”

It was shortly after this that Gabriel began to flee both the Templar, who were smart enough to see the murder of a knight by an old pupil, as well as the catholic church which was now condemning the knights they once praised. So he fled to the one man who still had respect for him, his old friend Mitchifer. However, too late did Gabriel discover that his friend had been murdered a year prior to this event and as such left the young man alone in Athens. If only he knew that his friend's murderer was now stalking him, for perhaps then he could have preserved his life and innocence, but it was far to late when he was finally confronted outside of a tavern by the dark skinned man. The experience of death was quick though, for it seemed that Mitchifer had done Gabriel the favor of speaking well of him to Asar and as such despite a quick, though painful, death Gabriel was greeted by a reasonably pleasant afterlife.

It was later explained to him by both Asar and Mitchifer that he was in fact a beast of legends now, what many cultures referred to as vampires. Upon questioning the two Gabriel learned that Asar was hunting Templar because they were once considered some of the strongest men alive, but to his disgust were turning out to be surprisingly weak. Luckily for Mitchifer though Asar had grown bored of cat and mouse and so he had questioned Mitchifer before killing him, and that had led to Asar growing fond of the man and thus turning him for comradely. Of course this was followed by Gabriel searching for Mitchifer and eventually becoming a vampire himself.

The three of them stayed close for two lifetimes until eventually Asar spoke of his weariness and decided it was his time to retire from the real world and go back into sleep until he felt the urge again. However, the three did not part until after the had chosen a new family name, one which they could use to track eachother in the decades to come. Though each had come from different lives, and different worlds they'd bonded in their time together and for this reason they became kin under the name Lanorus.

Under his new name Gabriel and Mitchifer separated to seek their own goals which led Gabriel to spend many decades in underground libraries trying to study what life was, and to him the more important question of what came after life, or how as a vampire he fit into the afterlife. However, in the late 1800's he received a letter from a MKL asking for his brother to come to the budding country of Canada and join him in a life which Gabriel had only read about prior to this point. Books were fine company, but the thought of being out in the world again made his offer impossible to refuse, so Gabriel found himself on a ship to the not so new world a mere five months later and ventured to the new country where his brother awaited. The pair then took to exploring the cities of this nation, before finally venturing to the city of Demaintre in the late 1900's.
