His black cloak swished as he walked into the Amman Common Room. He was frustrated, and his dark green eyes looked black. Whether this was because of the light, or because of anger, was not clear.
Kaizan picked up a book that he had left lying on one of the plush cushions, and threw it against the wall.
"Why the hell do I have to deal with this?" he raged as he angrily slammed his fist against another wall. He took a few deep breaths.
"Calm down, Kaizan," he said slowly. "You're an Amman. You can handle this."
He couldn't stand the Tarepha. He knew that he was supposed to be calm; collected; but he couldn't help the outbursts that happened within his own Coven's Common Room. Keeping the peace was tough enough; but when the Tarepha insisted on letting the mortals know about the immortals; it was almost impossible.
It didn't help that he was the youngest Amman member, and so prone to ridicule.
He sat slowly, and began to breathe deeply. He didn't expect anyone else to be coming into the Common Room for some time, as it was nighttime; prime feeding time.
Angeliques had been getting ready to leave as she heard the commotion in the common room. It was not like her to be near there, but for some reason or another she was this evening. It was time for her to feed, she had been famished but hated to go out, she found that she couldn't always bring herself to feeding off some mortal, part of her frowned upon it. But at the moment, the commotion caught her attention, letting her forget of what she had to do for the moment. As she neared, she heard a single voice and as she peeked through, she noticed that it was a man she had not yet met before. Her eyes narrowed in curiousity, unsure of whether she should enter the common room just yet or not. It could be a trap of some sort, why would anyone be in our common room, on a night like tonight when the whole city would be busy? She shifted from her position, taking a few steps toward the door, her hand on the knob but she didn't open it just yet. She only waited and listened to see if more would unravel from her findings without her having to investigate further.
Kaizan suddenly stopped doing anything and just stood, listening. He had heard a slight noise coming from outside the room; a noise that shouldn't have been heard, seeing as everyone should have been out feeding.
He stood silent as the night, waiting for the noise to come again.
