Title: Paranoia.
Kamaria - November 29, 2003 01:13 AM (GMT)
Kamaria, cloak pulled firmly around her, hood up, shielding her face, slows her running as she enters the heart of the city. People were still filtering around, those with a death wish, most likely. However, they seemed to be too drunk to even walk straight, let alone know what time it was. It wouldn’t surprise her if they were passed out on benches, or in gutters within hours. Her icy blue eyes examine the vicinity, and she slowly begins walking down the sidewalk, looking behind her for anything, or anyone. Almost paranoid about something.
Jonah - November 29, 2003 01:21 AM (GMT)
Deja vu, again he was pursuing this woman, though now he pursued from above, running the roof tops and vaulting from one building to the next. It wasn't long before he was caught up with her, had he wanted to cause a scene while catching her he simply had to jump down on her.
This woman, she was so familiar, her smell, her eyes..but who he thought it was had left sometime ago..why would she come back?
Kamaria - November 29, 2003 01:25 AM (GMT)
She stopped suddenly, eyes fixed straight ahead of her, but her mind was spinning. Someone was near her. He had followed her. She didn't even have to find him, she felt him. She suddenly gripped her cloak tighter around herself and she started running, taking off across the street and down an alleyway.
Jonah - November 29, 2003 01:38 AM (GMT)
Jonah followed, desperate to find out who it was. If it was the woman who haunted him with a pain he hadn't noticed before now she had gone. He grimmaced, and like earliar, took the fall over the building to the pavement below, nerly losing balance as he crashed with the ground. Quickly he faltered up and in pursuit..closing in.
Kamaria - November 29, 2003 01:41 AM (GMT)
She glanced behind her, eyes wide as she saw him gaining. Running as fast as she could, she suddenly ran into an abandoned building and up a few flights of stairs, hiding in the darkness of a room down the hall.
Jonah - November 29, 2003 01:44 AM (GMT)
Jonah followed, now slow as he entered the dusty condemned building and climbed the creaking stairs. He stopped at the landing..sniffing the air as an animal would when hunting for something. Sure enough it was her floor.
Silently he crept into the hallway, and then still ever so quiet his pace sped to the point where his movements could not be seen and next thing..he was standing over her pulling her up by the shoulder. "Let me see your face..." He spoke sternly with her his fingers clutching her shoulder tightly
Kamaria - November 29, 2003 01:50 AM (GMT)
She tried to pull away from his grip, but found he was too strong and shook her head. "No. I can't. Let me go, you're hurting me." She said softly, clutching her hood tighter. She couldn't let him see her, what would he think? Icy stared out into his eyes, pleading him to just let her go.
Jonah - November 29, 2003 02:13 AM (GMT)
Hervoice, it had to be her, though he heard of times of desperation altering the truth for some people. He reached for her hood, lightly tugging at it.
Kamaria - November 29, 2003 02:19 AM (GMT)
She sighed softly, and after a few moments, loosened her grip and let him pull her free of her "secret" identity. Eyes stared into his, pale skin bruised and torn. She then looks down, long black hair shielding her face once more. Hello Jonah.. She whispered.
Jonah - November 29, 2003 02:32 AM (GMT)
He stepped back, hands falling to his sides and face blank. It was her..through the battering and bruising it was her. "Kamaria.." He whispered quietly as if to say it louder would make her disappear like a dream. He faltered back, leaning again the wall opposite her and sliding down to a sit, staring at her over his knees which his arms rested limply on.
He swallowed and frowned. "Why did you leave?"
Kamaria - November 29, 2003 02:37 AM (GMT)
She sighs, and walks over to him, kneeling and placing her hands on his. I don't know if you'll understand why I left. But I was scared Jonah. Of you, of myself, of how I felt. After what happened between us, I didn't know what would be the next day..I'm sorry I left..
Jonah - November 29, 2003 02:43 AM (GMT)
He gave a short empty chuckle and looked away, shaking his head. She left because she was scared? Then why the hell did she come back? Did she not think he was confused himself about that night? He had awoken the night after that one of new experience, alone in the room, her gone..her sent but a feint suveneir to the city. Being alone had never caused him greif before, infact before he delighted in it perhaps because he didn't know lonliness to its fury. Though after her..after having her..lonliness laughed in his face and drove into his body its silver talons.
Kamaria - November 29, 2003 02:46 AM (GMT)
I knew you wouldn't understand. She sighed, almost angerly. She stood up, and walked over to a window, overlooking the vacant streets. I'll leave, if you wish Jonah. She said this quietly, not even making an effort for him to hear her. Why did she come back? He would have to ask..
Jonah - November 29, 2003 02:54 AM (GMT)
And so he would. He shook his head again before tilting it backk against the wall and looking out the window she stood at. In a low voice he questioned her again. "Afraid, huh? Then why did you come back?"
Kamaria - November 29, 2003 02:55 AM (GMT)
She turned at looked at him. I came back because I knew I loved you, okay? That's why I was scared. I've..I've never felt this way before. She ran out of the room, and sat in the hallway, covering her face with her hands, but not crying.
Jonah - November 29, 2003 03:19 AM (GMT)
He brought his head forward a bit, eyes closed, and then thrust it back, a soft thud bringing dust falling from the crevice where the wall and ceiling met. He pushed himself to his feet and walked to the door, leaning against the jam and looking at her. He cleared his voice before speaking in that stern and quite tone.
"There have been so many fine women, vampires and potentials, since you.. I could be with any of them. So many lush and new creatures and even the ones who have yet to be turned.. Any of them..I could take any of them, make them mine.. But no.." His voice cracked and he fell silent for a moment longer before speaking. "You left me sick... Sick over something I had never felt or experienced before.. Sick over you.."
His lip quivered in what could be anger and in that same tone he continued. "I could have any of them..So many have passed my way beckoning for me and I could take up any of their offers.. Any of them.." His voice now fell to a softer note..gentle whisper. "..But I want to have you.."
(kinda un Jonah like, no? hehe)
Kamaria - November 29, 2003 03:22 AM (GMT)
She brought her hands limply on her knees, but did not look at him. Kamaria listened to him quietly, and did not say anything for a long time. Only one question rested in her mind. Why me?
Jonah - December 1, 2003 10:26 PM (GMT)
Why her? He had to think for a moment, silence falling between them. It was a serious question and as simple as it sounded he couldn't answer without thinking. In romance novels men often answered right off the bat, listing things, but was it honestly? Did they say it to every other girl? Jonah hadn't known intimacy with anyone before..so what was special? Perhaps it was the fact she was the first and only one there would be?
He crossed to her and sat beside her, arms rest on his knees and hands clasped together. He sighed and looked to her. "You got me there.. I'll figure it out, you'll see." He smirked, feeling he had answered good enough, but had he?
Kamaria - December 3, 2003 01:15 AM (GMT)
She finally looked at him, crystal tears falling like rain from her dull eyes. She breathed deeply, trying to control her feelings. Her crying. Her..her composure. But it didn't seem to be working well, obviously. She didn't say anything, but her eyes yearned for his touch. She looked away.
Jonah - December 5, 2003 04:21 PM (GMT)
Jonah flicked his head, the long strands of hair in his eyes flipping back. He stood and then once more sat behind her, hugging his arms around her shoulders and resting his chin on her head lightly, rocking the two of them ever so slightly. It was truely an odd sight, to see this beast..the beast he was, displaying such gentle actions. He closed his eyes and inhaled her smell, his hug on her tightening ever so slightly.
"For the first time..I felt alone, and it was because you showed me the pleasures of company. When you left, I was thrown back into lonliness and thought nothing of it first..but it began to hurt after a while..But now its all better."
She had been the only one to tame him, you could say. Around her he was protective and gentle, affectionate.
Kamaria - December 5, 2003 06:06 PM (GMT)
She placed her hands on his, eyes closed as she enjoyed his company, and the slow rocking motion. It soothed her. She stopped crying, although her breathing was still shakey, she seemed to be relatively alright now. She moved one hand to place it on Jonah's cheek, and moved her head to look into his eyes. She had tamed him, and she knew others were scared of him, and deep inside she smirked at this. Her love. He was hers. She kissed him gently, and rested her head on his shoulder. Well I'm here now..and I'm never leaving you again.. She whispered softly.
Jonah - December 5, 2003 06:15 PM (GMT)
He grinned and brushed the long black hair from her neck with a sweep of his fingers, lowering his head down and lightly caressing the cold skin with his pale lips. It had been so long..so long since he held her like this and kissed her, he was glad of her return beyond any impressive words a writer could compose.
As a wet thin cut was discovered beneath his kiss he lingered on that spot, licking the small wound and delighting in the wine that was her blood. To most vampires, dead blood, cold blood was a disgusting thing, though to him he found a tangy taste through the bitterness, especially in her.
Kamaria - December 5, 2003 06:22 PM (GMT)
She aswell felt overwhelming joy at being with Jonah again. It had been so long. Months even. She didn't know. She had lost track of time during her absence. She smiled at his kisses, and held him close to her, before moving her head and kissing him once more.
(Awww..this is so sweet! XD)
Jonah - December 5, 2003 06:31 PM (GMT)
Jonah's kisses drew up to her lips, the lush, rosey, satin lips that had been the first he had ever kissed. Before Kamaria he had not known the pleasures of a woman, or love. Even in his time of life, he had never been open for it and even if he had..he wouldn't have been taken for like now, he was an animal then too. He had always been a killer..what sane mortal would love a murderer. But now, things were different, this fine specimen, something about her was more pleasing than a hundred kills...and the most grotesque of his killings. Was it love? He wasn't sure, he couldn't be. He never knew love.
Kamaria - December 5, 2003 06:36 PM (GMT)
She runs her fingers through his hair, kissing him with as much passion as she has inside of her. She had never known love either..but this. This had to be it. She couldn't be without him again, it was murder without his touch. His eyes. His eyes seemed to kiss her all over, and she loved every moment of it. To others she would draw back and be testy, but with him..he had her under his spell.
Jonah - December 5, 2003 06:48 PM (GMT)
He stood, pulling her up as he did, arms wrapped about her waist, and his lips locked with hers. One hand rose, fingers brushing her hair from her face. It was a shame to have such a beautiful face concealed. His fingers treaded lightly down her neck..chest..and then to her stomach. He pulled from her, though only an inch's distance between their faces.
Kamaria - December 5, 2003 06:52 PM (GMT)
She smiled softly, looking into his eyes. Her hand locked with his, and she whsipered. Lets get something to eat.. Grins teasingly.
Raphiel - December 6, 2003 03:47 PM (GMT)
"Hmph. You're gonna have to wait a bit." Raphiel stared at the boy. Raphiel was dressed in his black bandana, which casted a shadow over his eyes. He also had on black jeans and a black shirt. A wooden kendo sword hung on his right hip. "I just found you... biting a girl with a bandaid on her nose? Thats low dude." Raphiel glanced at the girl. *Do either of you know a man named Nicodemus?"
Jonah - December 6, 2003 10:37 PM (GMT)
The dead pastel green eyes flitted their gaze to the mortal. Was this boy insane? Truly, it must be so, to follow a beast only to be led into a building where there would be two instead of one. Jonah's pale lips curled into a cold smirk as he took one step from Kamaria. "Oh did you now, dude? Assuming what you saw was real and you're just not in need of medical inspection in your eyes, what degree of idiocy would convince you to pursue?"
(yea)
Raphiel - December 7, 2003 04:53 PM (GMT)
Raphiel sighed. "Why do I get stuck with the confident ones?" Raphiel shook his head. "I don't want you or the girl. And to answer the other question, I saw the girl... And I saw you. Apparently you are a vampire, and I have been crazy before... And it wasn't like this." Taren sighed again and took off his bandana. He had icy gray eyes, but the color wasn't the problem. "I do not want to fight, but if we do... Things precious to you could get hurt." Raphiel's face hardened as his eyes settled on the girl. He spoke without moving his gaze. "Tell me all you know about Nicodemus..."
Jonah - December 7, 2003 06:29 PM (GMT)
Jonah snickered. "Nicodemus?" He shook his head, and in a blur he was gone from where he was and then behind the mortal, closing a tight grip at the top of his neck. "You wan't me to tell you about Nicodemus?" He hissed into the boy's ear. "I'll tell you this, if you think you can just waltz in here and interogate me..you are poorly mistaken. I am not as generous as the rest."
Jonah's fingers pressed harder against the boy's neck. "You are by far the most pathetic thing I have ever seen..coming in here believing you can strike up a bargain with the Tarepha, infact you have simply just put yourself onto my plate and into my cup."
Raphiel - December 7, 2003 09:06 PM (GMT)
Raphiel winced. The pain from the vampire's grip hurt, but didn't take away his smart-aleck self. "I am afraid your cup just broke bud... I don't call myself The Lord's Prophet for nothing." Whipping his hand to his pocket and up to the vampire's hand in a blur, he pressed the silver cross into it. "Tell me where Nicodemus is..." He continued to stare at the girl. Maybe he would let her see into his eyes... Or do vampire's care at all about mortal's? Raphiel laughed silenty. Iside he was more of a demon.
((OOC: Jonah's speed... WICKED!!! Jonah's teeth... Uh.....))
Jonah - December 7, 2003 09:23 PM (GMT)
His cold skin burned beneath the silver upon his hand though the other's grip fastened to the boy's neck even tighter, the beat of a heart drumming against his fingers through the boy's skin. He hissed and withdrew the hand that had been burned, instead quickly grabbing the boy's arm and bringing it behind him.
"The Lord's Prophet? You a comic book hero, now boy? There is no such thing as God..You waist your time!" He whispered with a laugh in his wicked voice, all the while his four teeth pulsing with hunger.
Raphiel - December 7, 2003 10:58 PM (GMT)
"A hero? There is no such thing." Raphiel's face hardened even more. "And another thing. You aren't as soft as the other's? Were you thinking that when you kissed the girl?" Raphiel had decided. Lifting his eyes to stare into the girl's eyes, he let the wall's in his soul down. He could feel torment raging inside of him as he revealed his past to the girl. Rage, sorrow, anger, loss, and Katrina tortured his thought's. "Tell me where Nicodemus is!!! I have to kill him!!! I promised Katrina!!!"
Kamaria - December 8, 2003 01:03 AM (GMT)
She looked away, and shook her head, caught off guard. But first, she had heard kiss..her..when the man was speaking to Jonah. She wasn't exactly listening at first. You kissed her? Who? She looked hurt, but turned her attention to the young man. I'm sorry, I guess, but I cannot help you. Walks away from them slowly, lingering a bit to look at Jonah, confused.
Jonah - December 8, 2003 02:11 AM (GMT)
He looked as Kamaria quietly withdrew herself from the room then he looked back down to the mortal and sneered. "You tell me how soft I am!" Jonah growled as he jerked the boy's head back and threw his face down into the curve of his neck, four fangs tearing into flesh.
Raphiel - December 8, 2003 06:44 PM (GMT)
Raphiel grimaced as the fangs bit into him. "Hmph. Never leave one of my arm 's free." With the hand that was free he reached into his pocket and drew out another cross. In a blur he slammed the pointy bottom end of the cross into the the man's chin, and then into the man's arm which was holding Raphiel's. The minute the man let go, Raphiel jumped toward's a window and put his back to it. Franticaly, he pressed the cross against the wound in his neck. He could FEEL something that wasn't dark in this man's soul... but what?! He looked at the vampire and crouched, holding a cross in either hand. "You aren't soft? That wasn't the thought's running through your head a minute ago." Raphiel pressed his back to the window. "You might want to go after the girl. I have placed doubt's in her mind that could destroy her relationship with you or just destroy her. Or are you as hard as a rock underneath?"
Kamaria - December 9, 2003 01:00 AM (GMT)
Kamaria, with these new found doubts in her head, wandered the hallways, holding her head, whispering the herself as if she her talking to someone that wasn't there. She seemed troubled, and suddenly fell to the floor, and a small "thump" was heard from the room.
Jonah - December 11, 2003 10:33 PM (GMT)
(ahem..read through your post Ralphie, tell me if you see anything wrong thanks, but until then I go with the flow.)
Jonah faltered backwards a hand coming to his wounded arm, a bright blood flowing from his mouth and a darker shade of his own blood intermixing with it as it dribbled from his chin. He growled and darted forward, seizing the boy's arms at the wrists and then bringing a forceful knee to the groin twice. He gave a raspy chuckle and shook his head. "Don't be so confident, prick."
Raphiel - December 15, 2003 12:06 AM (GMT)
((OOC: Sorry Jonah, I am SO new at RPG's. Oh, by the way... you can kill Raphiel. I was only using him to get the hang of this game...))
