Appearance: Long sleek ebony hair with hues of a husky blue when in the right lighting. Dark brown almost black eyes that are as large and as expressive as a deer's. She has a slim, athletic frame due to training in Gymnastics at competition level. She stands at 5"3 and weighs roughly 113 pounds. She normally wears loose-fitting cotton trousers, flat shoes and a vest top during the day. At night she wears a black polo neck jumper teamed with a black body warmer and black skin tight trousers and steel toe capped boots with her hair pulled back into a tight plaid.
Personality: She sticks to her 'own' code of honour that no one else around seems to understand. Fir instance, she would give a bum money but would not physically give money to someone who's collecting it for charity. She rarely trusts no one since she left her home. She is indifferent to some things for instance if a person is asking for her for her help she will simply walk away. She has a bitter and sometimes VERY 'cocky' attitude towards authority figures but make no mistakes this girl is apt to surprising you.
History: At a very young age, it was discovered that Shin had a supple and agile frame that would allow to excel in the sport of Gymnastics. Roughly, since the age of four or five, Shin’s parents were hoping to exploit their young daughter’s talent in such a way that it would bring them up in status as they suffered from being at working class level.
As Shin grew in years so did her talent. But the older she became the more resentful she became of her parents who were apt to pushing their daughter to excel in every area including the Academic. Shin still practised on, loving her craft, her niche in life more than anything; It was known for her to train for over eight hours a day whenever she could.
It was at night thought that her ‘Double’ life began. She broke into people’s homes- particularly the rich- and took things of sentimental value as Shin knew it would hurt more to lose those than anything else. As she carried on in this extra-curricular activity, she became more practised in avoiding tripping most security alarms. She soon learned though that all getaways had to be carefully planned after she came close to being caught with her hand in the proverbial cookie jar. From then, she planned everything because she wasn’t in the habit of losing; She believed she was a winner and win she would.
Shin had managed to keep her double life a secret from her parents. How the police was not able to track and find her, she will never know. She assumed that they knew and they just wanted to lull her into a false sense of security. During this process she somehow managed to find time to learn about Computers, their inner and outer workings eventually in the process learning how to hack.
When she reached the tender age of Eighteen, She realised she had saved enough money to leave Thailand and set herself up in whatever country she chose to go to. The reason she wanted outside of Thailand? So she wouldn’t be found either by her over-bearing parents or by other forces. To choose where she would go, she tacked a map to wall and then with a pin in her hand, closed her eyes and jammed her pin into the map.
Once she arrived in that small unknown town, she harboured there long enough until she gained Canadian Citizenship and then proceeded to move on. Shin then proceeded to change her identification so that Shin Li would no longer exist but in her place would be Maxine Li. She moved from place to place either because people got to ‘close’ for her liking or they found out about her ‘escapades’ through resources which was VERY rare but on occasion it did happen.
And then, she arrived here of all places. And her ‘light’ fingers are beginning to get that itchy feeling once again.
