Title: What Happened?
Description: Open

Darkasian - February 3, 2006 01:20 AM (GMT)
Deacon was breathing harder than he usually did. He remembered was meeting a nice girl. He thought she wanted to be friends with him, but Beethoven told him that she was going to turn him into the police. He didn't want to go to jail, and the only way he could make sure she didn't was to put her to sleep. He remembered when she turned around he took Beethoven from his pocket. Beethoven said he just wanted to hug the girl, so Deacon wrapped him around the girl's throat. Beethoven cut into the girl's flesh spilling blood on all over her. The girl struggled to pull Beethoven away from her throat, but Deacon wrapped Beethoven two more times around her neck. The girl kicked him in the groin, but he didn't let go. The girl kept on kicking him, but it became weaker and she collapsed. Beethoven cut deeper into her neck.

Deacon left the girl, who was now dead, in the alley, and he wiped the blood off of Beethoven. Beethoven was safe in his pocket.

Nikolaos - February 14, 2006 09:40 PM (GMT)
Nikolaos felt the presence nearby before she saw it... hysteria... some sort of panic. It excited her, just a little, but she was excellent at controlling her cravings.... unless she hadn't fed for a while, then it was messy. The power fell around her like electric static and it prickled along her skin slightly. She knew her own power was reverberating and like wind against skin... not so jumpy as this power was, a mortal... with a past.

She particularly didn't like getting involved in mortal squabbles for fear of becoming attatched. She did not want to always be attatched to the things she killed. Her emerald eyes saw the man, he was huddled around a.... wire? Sure... this one was lost. very lost. He walked away as she stepped into the alley. The dead girl lay on the ground and Nikolaos stared at it. No wonder.... the feeling she felt... murder... cold blooded murder...

How can a vampire condemn murder if she takes life giving blood to stay alive? It was a contradictory question so Nikki never bothered to answer it.
She knelt beside the young girl, red hair falling over her face. Nikolaos' pale shirt clung to her slender frame and her black jeans grew dusty as she kneeled int eh alley next to the dead. She checked for a pulse but knew there was no good in it...
Nikki felt a long sigh escape her lips before she could stop it.

Darkasian - February 14, 2006 10:38 PM (GMT)
Deacon returned to the alley and saw a girl kneeling by the body he left in the alley. He approached the girl. "What're you doing?" He asked. For some reason he felt nervous around the girl even though she was only 19. It seemed as if the girl was much older than she looked. His tongue piercing clicked nervously against his teeth in his mouth. The clicking seemed a lot louder than it actually was.

Nikolaos - February 14, 2006 10:42 PM (GMT)
The edge in his voice made her wary. The boy had returned.... He had killed her. She certainly didn't want him to know that. He was a human she guessed and her eyes flickered to the body then back to him. "I was walking through the alley... taking a ahort cut home. I found her body." she said nothing else. Her voice was low yet soft. She did not want to alarm this boy but she supposed her speed would be of great use.
The blood pooling fromt he body made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. She was suddenly very appreciative of her control. Nine hundred years pays off. She did not smile but kept her face as unreadable as possible. She watched the boy, bracing herself for any movement.

Darkasian - February 14, 2006 10:48 PM (GMT)
Deacon stared at the girl and visibly relaxed. He was still wary of the girl, but it seemed that she didn't know he killed the girl at her feet. "I'm sorry about that." He said as he raced through some excuses for acting like he did. "I was just going to take a little shortcut as well." He said hoping the girl'd believe his excuse. "You know how it is when you see someone kneeling over a dead body."

Nikolaos - February 14, 2006 11:07 PM (GMT)
Nikolaos' eyes looked up into his and they met. She didn't pull any tiricks tonight. She merely watched him, glad for the night to hide her fangs. She looked down at the body again, that same rush of yearning washing over her. She looked away. "Poor girl" her voice was tender.

Darkasian - February 15, 2006 12:18 AM (GMT)
Deacon looked from the girl to the dead body with his yellow eyes. He approached the girl, and did his best not to seem aggressive. "It's a horrible way to die." He said as he leaned against the wall of the alley a few feet from the girl. "I'm Deacon Trapper." He said as his hand fiddled around with Beethoven in his pocket. He wouldn't let Beethoven take this one. "Where are you from?" He asked trying not to focus on the dead girl.

Nikolaos - February 15, 2006 12:41 AM (GMT)
Nikolaos smiled. "Across the sea" she said with a small smile that hid her fangs. "Ireland actually... and you are from where?" she paused. "Oh yes, my name... It's Nikki" she said, ehr voice warm. She took his hand and shook it, felt the pulse within his veins.

Darkasian - February 15, 2006 01:40 AM (GMT)
Deacon looked at Nikki. "I'm from the Bronx, New York." He said with a very slight hint of hurt in his voice remembering his mother. "It'd be better to meet you in different circumstances." Deacon said as he let go of Nikki's hand. He noticed her hand was a little chilly, but then again it was winter.

He looked back at the dead girl. "Mind if we move away from here?" He asked almost nervously. "Don't want to mess up the crime scene." He said as he took out his cell phone.

Nikolaos - February 15, 2006 09:24 PM (GMT)
Nikolaos let a pleasent smile grace her lips, fangs still hidden. She didn't want to add more drama to the situation... Being a vampire had its consequences.
"Yes... under different circumstances" her eyes looked over at the body, blood trickiling sensually. Her craving was suddnly so much greater than before. She looked away. "Yes... I don't want to be near her anymore..."

Darkasian - February 16, 2006 01:28 AM (GMT)
Deacon smiled back and waited for Nikki to walk out with him. He dialed the number for the police and reported the crime. He left out the part of him actually doing the crime, and he explained the rest of the situation.

He stepped out of the alley. "Are you alright?" He asked looking at Nikki. He was worried Nikki'd faint on him or something. He was looking for something to sit on and found a nearby bench.

Nikolaos - February 16, 2006 09:56 PM (GMT)
"I'm fine" Nikki said. Her voice was strong and it surprised her. Yeah... she'd make it... one more night. Nikolaos smiled softly, still not showing fang. Some people didn't like vampires... Eh- she wasn't hiding... only protecting him from who she was....

She followed hima nd sat down. "Did you call teh police?" God she hated that word. Nothing annoyed her more than police.

Darkasian - February 16, 2006 10:37 PM (GMT)
Deacon looked at Nikki and nodded. "Yeah I just called them." He said as he thought about what he'd say to the poice. He was a good lier; if he wasn't good at lying he wouldn't have been in Demaitre. "So tell me a little about yourself Nikki." He tried smiling, but it came out a little strained and looked more like a grimace.

Nikolaos - February 16, 2006 10:49 PM (GMT)
Nikolaos blinked. "Well..." she said. "I'm a bit older than nineteen... born in Ireland... I moved her after traveling for awhile and yeah... That's about it... I'm not a very interesting person" Hell, if he knew she was a vampire that'd make her more interesting. And if he knew about her vampiric abilities.... definitely not normal.

Darkasian - February 16, 2006 11:29 PM (GMT)
Deacon shrugged looking at Nikki. "I've always wanted to visit Ireland, but I haven't the money to go." He said grinning a little bit. The police would be there in a little while. "It's always interesting learning about other people." Deacon felt himself calming down as he talked more to Nikki. "Are you alright with the police?" He thought Nikki could've had a bad experience by the sound of her voice. Maybe it was just him.

Nikolaos - February 16, 2006 11:41 PM (GMT)
"I don't like police" she admitted. She had never had a bad experience with the police, she just downright didn't like them. They were too prejudiced against vamires. She shrugged. "I just do.... Yes, Ireland is a wonderful place" her voice was wistful. She longed to back yet her coven held her here.... She only minded a bit.

Darkasian - February 17, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
Deacon shrugged, "I don't like the police either, but they're necessary." He said as he stretched out his body. It was feeling a little tight. "So do you have any family here?" He asked feeling a little tired of asking the questions. He kind of felt like a cop, except he wasn't. He almost laughed but he managed to stop himself. He didn't like being around when the cops came, and he felt like leaving before the cops got there. The cops would ask hundreds of questions to the two of them.

Nikolaos - February 17, 2006 09:36 PM (GMT)
Niklaos felt his need to leave and agreed with him. She stood and took steps away from the scene. 'I don't want to be here to come..." she smiled. "Family? Yes. I believe I have some." The only family she had was her coven and coven and family did NOT mean the same thing. Nikki ran a hand through her hair. "Well.. screw getting home tonight... I'll never sleep" she must keep up her human act just a little while longer. She'd feel safer if the boy found out about her later rather than sooner. She honestly was quite surprised he hadn't caught on. She was paler than most humans were... eh- her eyes were distracting at times.

Darkasian - February 18, 2006 04:18 AM (GMT)
Deacon looked into Nikki's eyes. He felt like he could look into them for the rest of his life, but he looked away feeling like something was wrong. He felt a kind of ecstasy looking into those eyes, but he needed to stay focused on getting away from the crime scene. "I probably won't be able to sleep either." He said knowing he'd regret killing that girl. "There's a saying that the eyes are the windows to the soul." He said thinking that his eyes definitely reflected his own soul. Cold and sadistic.

Nikolaos - February 20, 2006 05:55 PM (GMT)
Nikolaos met his gaze and felt something sharp behind his eyes. If she were human it would most likely frighten her... but the fact was... she wasn't human anymore.

"Windows to the soul?" she asked him, her face curious. She smiled, not showing fang. "Can you see anything in my eyes?" she asked him. No... she wasn't playing tricks tonight. She was simply curious. What did others see in her eight hundred year old eyes....

Darkasian - February 20, 2006 06:08 PM (GMT)
Deacon smiled and looked into Nikki's eyes. "I see a good soul with more experience than anyone knows." He said thinking maybe his own eyes didn't show what he thought. Maybe Nikki saw something different. "You seem to be older than you said." He said not knowing she was a vampire, but he thought maybe she had a hard life like him. "What do you see in my eyes?" He asked curious as well.

Nikolaos - February 20, 2006 06:17 PM (GMT)
"Pain" she said simply. She had felt it the moment she had stepped into the alley. She looked up at him again, meeting his eyes. "And a struggle... with someone or something" He was-- fighting something or running from someone maybe... She wasn't sure.

A good soul.... strange since vampires were considered damned. She smiled, her fangs hidden. "My age... Yes, I am a bit older than nineteen." She wondered what he would think of her if she told him. Some humans freaked around vampires.... Some humans...

Darkasian - February 20, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
Deacon's smile faltered a little bit as he listened to Nikki. He was amazed that she said that. He was definitely feeling pain and struggling something. He heard Beethoven, but he ignored him. Nikki was definitely something different. He tried of something to lighten the subject. He laughed a little bit and looked at Nikki. "So what do you think of the city?"

Nikolaos - February 20, 2006 07:59 PM (GMT)
"I like the city... so much life. It makes me feel a little bit better.. or just more sure of myself" She stopped. "I'm sorry... was rambling.. nevermind. I usually go on about unimportant things when I'm tired." She relized his smile had faltered. "Whats wrong Deacon?" Concern was in her eyes. Real concern? For a human....

Darkasian - February 21, 2006 01:09 AM (GMT)
Deacon lookd at Nikki and smiled. "Nothing's wrong just thinking about something." He said looking into her eyes. He felt she was hiding something from him, but he didn't want to pry. "I don't mind rambling. Some people say I can ramble on a lot." He said as he tried to figure out what Nikki was hiding without asking her. Maybe she was one of those goths, but he didn't know many that'd dress like her.

Nikolaos - February 21, 2006 01:13 AM (GMT)
Nikolaos and Deacon were finally out of that particular Alley and away from teh oncoming sirens of the police. Nikki didn't even look over her shoulder at the source of the sirens. She sighed and shrugged. "I don't think you ramble too much Deacon" she said with a smile. Hmm. She contemplated this. She was on the verge of making friends with a human? This was strange but not half bad...

The only thing was that he was indeed human. She was human once too. She hated to admit it, but at times she missed it. Nikki pulled her long red hair over the white- T-shirt that framed her torso. She kicked a nearby rock with her black tennishoed foot and turned to Deacon. "Whatcha thinking about?" she asked him, walking backwards, ever alert, her eyes friendly.

Darkasian - February 21, 2006 01:34 AM (GMT)
Deacon was looking back at the source of the sirens, and sighed and turned to face Nikki when she spoke. "What? Oh I'm sorry a little distracted." He said as he cleared his thoughts. "I was just trying to see if there's anything else to you." He said laughing nervously. He scratched the back of his head. "I didn't want to pry by asking you." He thought Nikki was very goodlooking now with her hair out and moving in the wind.

Nikolaos - February 21, 2006 09:01 PM (GMT)
Nikki stopped and pondered this for a moment. "I suppose there's not much to me. I am older than I look.. and I own stock in a fashion company.. I'm applying for a third shift job at a local cd shop and yeah... I suppose that's what I do..." Nikolaos left out the part that she was a vampire and went feeding every so often.

She smiled once again, an art of perfection. So many years of practice she could smile without flashing fang. "And who I am..." she let her voice trail off. "That one I'm not so sure of. How about you?" Yes, an attachment... to a human. That was never good. Why then had she not left yet? Why had she lingered? Simple curiosity. Luckily, only the cat was killed.... not the vampire. Or at least, that's what she hoped.

Darkasian - February 22, 2006 05:34 AM (GMT)
Deacon thought for a little while, what was he going to tel her? Yeah I'm a serial killer and I'm a little bit of a psychopath. That'd definitely get Nikki's attention. He decided to keep that little part of his life out of the conversation. "Well I work at a local shipping and supplying factory, and I was born in the Bronx, New York." He said smiling at Nikki. "I didn't have that good of an upbringing." He said leaving it at that not wanting to tell Nikki he was the bastard child of a dirty cop, and his mom beat him everyday.

"I don't really know who I am." He said scratching his head. "There's a lot I don't really understand about myself."

Nikolaos - February 22, 2006 10:14 PM (GMT)
Nikolaos took a step forward and let a small smile grace her lips. "I'm sure you'll find yourself soon enough.. Though you won't have forever." The way she said forever was wistful.. Nikki had forever.... almost all eternity to learn... yet she still would eventually die.... eventually.

Darkasian - February 25, 2006 04:15 AM (GMT)
Deacon nodded and smiled at Nikki. "Yeah." He said as he looked at Nikki. "I know I don't have forever." He said as he stepped closer to Nikki. "What're you hiding behind those green eyes of yours?"

Nikolaos - February 26, 2006 10:36 PM (GMT)
"Whoever said I was hiding anything?" she asked him. The tricks would have to begin soon if he kept pressing the matter. She really didn't want to breech this one's mind but he could never, never learn her secret. She was a vampire. Yippee. That really wasn't something she wanted him to know. Intimidating and honestly she liked having secrets.

Nikki took a step forward and studied him intently with her eyes, letting a lie fill them... lies of a broken home and a sister she never had.

Darkasian - February 26, 2006 11:11 PM (GMT)
Deacon looked into Nikki's eyes and nodded. "I'm sorry for assuming." He said not mentioning what he saw in her eyes. "I just got a feeling about it." He said thinking about what he saw. He guessed it was similar to his own experience, but something told him it was wrong. He didn't push the matter.

Nikolaos - February 26, 2006 11:20 PM (GMT)
Nikolaos smiled and her eyes seemed to sparkle int he moonlight. She spoke slowly and low, almost so that no one could hear. An edge of velvet lined her voice and it seemed to float through the air like a promising whisper that would never come true.

"Why did you assume?" she asked, her voice non-threatening but appealing. "What feeling?" A sensitive to her? Couldn't be. Or she was loosing her touch.

Darkasian - February 27, 2006 03:31 AM (GMT)
Deacon listened to Nikki and liked the voice. It was full of promises, and he felt a little intoxicated by it. He kept his cool and took a deep breath. "I assumed because I kind of have this, ummm, intuition about people." He said as he scratched his head. "I don't really know how to explain it." He said laughing nervously.

Nikolaos - February 27, 2006 08:21 PM (GMT)
"Why not explain?" Darkness pressed around her and it was comforting.. better to hide the pale skin.. better to hide period. Always hiding.. always in shadow. Nikki smiled. "Never mind my question" she replied softly, turning and walking onwards. He was interesting.. but there was something more.. she couldn't place it.

Darkasian - February 27, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
Deacon smiled as he listened to Nikki's voice. It was definitely intoxicating, and he did his best not to show it. "No I don't mind trying to explain it." He said as his hand went into his pocket. "I sometimes get a certain feeling from people." He took his hand out with nothing in it. "I get a good feeling from you Nikki." He said as he stepped towards her.

Nikolaos - February 27, 2006 08:41 PM (GMT)
Nikolaos stopped. A ringing something echoed throughout her senses but she was confident.. He had something else.. Something else.. She was quick, but if he got to close. She wasn't sure though. It could be paranoia. She decided to wait.
"A good feeling?" she said with a laugh, a perfect eyesbrow arched. She didn't move away but she would go forwards until her suspiscions were confirmed or until he stopped.

Darkasian - February 27, 2006 09:33 PM (GMT)
Deacon laughed, "Yeah, that's all it is." He said as he stopped a few inches from Nikki. "I don't know what it is about you, but it seems to help me calm down." He said as he felt his own body start to relax, not only from her voice, but also by being in her presence. "You have a beautiful voice." He said kind of as an after thought.

Nikolaos - February 28, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
Nikolaos felt him relax, and in turn felt his heart.. his pulse. She calmed herself and breathed deeply. "I have a practiced voice, yes." she smiled softly and her eyes were gentle. Relaxing. That was a good thing... But he was close... very close. She'd have time to react- damn Paranoia! No.. he wasn't doing anything.. he was calm. She could feel it and her shoulders relaxed, but nothing else.
"Although.. I don't think my voice is that fantastical" she remarked
