Sakura sighed as she filled out some papers in her office. This was her least favorite part of the job. There were papers strewn all around the desk, along with a cup of half-finished coffee. Her grandfather's katana was displayed at the window looking out at the dojo. An oak quarter staff was lying on the ground next to her feet. The last class of the night already left, and she was doing some last minute work before closing up. She was wearing her gui pants and an athletic bra, she'd throw her jacket on when she finished closing up. She looked up from her work as she heard a noise from the dojo.

She stood up, grabbing her quarter staff, and walked into the dark dojo. "Who's there? Show yourself!!" She yelled, prepared for anything, letting her instincts control her body. She thought she saw someone near the front, and made her way to the front, hands wringing the oak staff.

As she makes her way into the room she sees a young woman standing in front of her. Her long red hair hangs loosely at her hips and a scared look comes over her face as a tear begins to roll down her cheek as she stand and looks around the room. “Is this where the child was killed?” She asks, but before she Sakura can respond the young woman continues to speak. “It was here that it happened wasn’t it? There was someone here… their face I can’t see it.” The woman begins to cry even harder and her words can hardly be heard over her tears. “The murder it was very brutal, the person it was a man he wasn’t like us… he was a… monster.” The woman collapses to the ground as she looks up Sakura. “What is happening in this town? This is not the first time I have come across this here.” She slowly pulls her self off the ground. “I need to get out of this room there is too much pain and suffering in here.” She quickly rushes past Sakura and heads out into the hall, as she begins to collect herself. “I’m sorry about what happened in there some times my emotions get the best of me” She smiles at Sakura as she brushes the tears from her face. “ Oh where are my manners I’m Rain Nice to meet you.” She says as she holds out her hand.

Sakura was quite confused by the girl, who just rushed past her. Was she some kind of psychic? She didn't know and she didn't care, she ran after the girl, still holding the quarterstaff. She stopped and looked at the strange girl. She listened to the girl as she spoke.

Sakura bowed slightly, "Well it's nice to meet you too Rain, I'm Sakura Akumura, the head instructor here." She put down her staff and walked towards the girl. "Are you alright? I'm sorry to ask, but what was that outburst about? There hasn't been any murder here, at least that I don't know about." She reached out and touched Rain. She had no clue what the girl was talking about. She couldn't make heads or tails of what Rain was rambling about in the dojo.

Rain looks up at the woman with a look of concern in her eyes “Has it not happened yet?” Rain lets out a sigh of relief before continuing to speak. “Every night for the next week I want you to make sure that everyone is out of the building before you leave tell no one of what I have tolled you or people will think I’m crazy” Rain thinks to herself for a moment before continuing to talk ”please trust me" Rain stares at Sakura as she waits for her to agree to what she has asked.

Sakura had no idea what was going on, or what was going to happen. Rain didn't answer her question, but that didn't matter it seemed this girl could see into the future. She wanted to believe the girl was crazy, but she didn't know what to believe with all the deaths happening all of a sudden.

She slowly nodded her head, then she spoke, "I won't tell anyone about what you said here tonight," though she had no idea what to believe, but her instincts said to trust Rain. Her instincts hadn't failed her ever, so why stop trusting them now? "What happens here?" Sakura asked while looking Rain dead in the eye.

Rain stares at Sakura for a moment before answering her. “A child is going to be killed.. I don’t know if it can be stopped… I see blood lots of blood, I can hear the child screaming he is afraid” Rain looks back into the room where she had seen her vision before she continues to speak. “It’s not going to end in this room the man he runs I see someone chasing him… It’s a woman” Rain looks over into the corner of the room. “ Wait I see you in the corner with the child.” Rain smiles as she looks back over at Sakura. “ There will still be hope for the child but you must not hesitate or he will die, every second will matter I see two possible outcomes… the child dies in your arms or he makes it to the hospital... his life is in your hands there is nothing I can do but tell you what I see.” Rain turns back and continues to stare into the room not telling Sakura all of what she sees.

Sakura shuddered as Rain spoke, there was going to be a murder and she was the only one who could save the boy's life. She looked down at the ground and thought. "What if I were to close the dojo early? Would that change what's going to happen to the boy?" She shook all over, this was all too sudden for her. She knew she'd have to try and do something to stop this from happening, but she didn't know what.

"Can you tell what will happen to the boy if I change the hours of the dojo?" She looked up determination in her eyes. She couldn't just wait for it to happen, she felt she needed to act, making sure the boy didn't get hurt.

Rain lets out a sigh and shakes her head. “It wont matter what you do what I have seen will happen it is written in stone… there is nothing that can be done to stop it… only what happens to the child can be changed. He will live or die that it all I can tell you.” Rain begins to slowly walk down the hall. “There is nothing anyone can do I’m sorry… but I can stay here with you to help if you would like.” Rain stops and waits for Sakura to answer her.

Sakura shook her head as Rain spoke, "I refuse to believe that there's no way to change what happens to the boy!!" She turned away from Rain, tears starting to well up in her eyes. "How do you know that it can't be changed? Maybe it ends up being me or you! Nothing in the future is concrete!" She couldn't help but let her tears flow. She didn't want anything to happen to whoever the boy was.

"I'm closing up pretty soon, so make yourself at home, got a few things to finish." She walked into her office and sat down finishing the write ups while her body was racked with spasms of sobbing. "I don't want that boy to get hurt." She said to no one in particular.

Rain all of a sudden wakes up with a cold sweat running down her face. It is early evening now and the sun is beginning to set. “I must of fallen asleep” she says to her self as she looks out from the alley where she had fallen asleep. Rain begins to head down the street. Soon Rain comes to a building it looks familiar but she does not remember seeing it before curious as to what this place is, she begins to head towards the door but is stopped by someone before she can enter the building.

Sakura woke up with a start, cold sweat pouring down her face. Her whole body was soaked with cold sweat. She looked around and saw that she was in her little sleeping area in her dojo. She got up from bed and threw on a pair of pants and a t-shirt. What time was it? She didn't know, but it was night.

She walked towards the entrance of the dojo, and saw a girl walking towards her...she seemed so familiar! Sakura never met this woman in person. She then saw someone stop her. Her instincts told her that whoever it was didn't want to chat with the girl. She unlocked the door as much as she could, not bothering to grab any weapons.

Burton looked at the girl and held her by the arms.

His hair hanging in front of his face he stares deep into her eyes, gaining as much knowledge as he can from scanning her mind. His hand moves from arms and he rubs her cheek. The girl pulls her face back slightly as Burton clasps his hand around the back of her neck.

"Hello... Rain"

Rain stares at the man for a few seconds as a look of fear comes into her eyes. Rain raises her hand and punches him square in the nose. She runs into the building rushing past the woman that is walking towards her nearly knocking her to the ground.

Burton steps back unphased, he watches Rain run into the building almost knocking down the woman at the door.

"Everybody runs...."

Burton slides a hand through his hair and begins to walk toward the building. The girl Rain almost knocked over is still reeling from the charged onslaught of Rain. Burton walks straight into the building.

"YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME RAIN!"

Burton removes his sunglasses and glares around as the light reflects from his glowing blue eyes.. looking for his prey.

Rain continues to run but finds herself trapped in the dojo there are no other exits to be seen. Rain hides in the corner of the dark room hoping that she will not be seen or heard.

"I can hear your thoughts Rain"

Burton walks slowly throughout the dojo looking for his new prey.

"there's no where to go Rain. No where to hide.... come out and play...."

Burton begins to crash over various items of equipment and throws a bench from one end of the dojo to the other.

"I won't hurt you Rain.... I want to make your life better"

There is nothing Rain can do, she is trapped… she looks around but cant seem to find anything to defend herself with. She prepares herself the best she can and waits for the man to enter the room.

"RAIN!!!!

Burton picks up another bench and tosses it against a wall. He looks around to see a small dark room and a smile comes over his face. He walks over to the room.

"Rain... I know you're in here... there's no where to go... no where to hide"

Burton looks around the room to see a small shadowed figure in the corner of the room. Burton's smile disappears as he walks over to the figure in the corner in the room.

"Rain.. I am not here to harm you.. I want to make you complete - I can tell you things... Thingsthat you thought to be long forgotten... inside that temple of yours... I can show you it all... Violet"

As the man approaches Rain she begins to back up, trapping herself in a corner. “Please leave me alone” Rain knows that she is going to have no chance but to fight her way out of this.

"Rain... You can't fight me... I'm stronger than you... You can't hurt me... You need to learn one thing dear......"

Burton leans in closer to Rain, his blue eyes glowing brightly.

"You cannot kill... what doesn't live.... accept it.. .this is your fate.... join me...."

Rain stares into the mans eyes she cant move or speak she is paralyzed with fear. After a few seconds she gathers up enough courage and tries to run once again.

As Rain tries to make her break Burton grabs her by the arm.

"Rain you can't run"

Burton pulls her back into the corner and sits her down.

"Rain.... I promise you... this will only hurt a bit."

Burton brushes Rain's hair back from her nec kand begins to kiss it softly, he puts his hand on her waist and coninues to kiss her neck. Burton then brings up his top lip slowly and sinks his fangs deep into her neck. Rain lets out a sigh of relief as the fangs pierce the skin. Burton slowly drains the life from Rain as her face begins to turn blue he lets her go.

He turns away and lets out a gasp for air. He looks down at Rain with a look of sorrow on his face.

"You see Rain... We are embodiment of all the world's wrongs...We are the demons we all carry within us.... and now you havethe option to be one of us... simply drink from me and you will carry on life... in an eternal shell"

Burton slashes at his wrist and allows a few droplets to spill onto the floor and then moves his wrist closer to Rain..

"Drink"

Rain looks up at the man as tears begin to fill her eyes, she can feel the life slipping from her but she refuses to do as he asks, instead she closes her eyes and waits for her life to end.

"Rain... listen to me... You can not pass up this oppurtunity... you can be better than the rest... live the life of the immortal... We see decades come and go but never age, you can have the chance to see the world... drink of me... and I will show you everything...

Burton extends his wrist further toards Rain faceso her lips are almost touching the fresh wound.

Rain is too weak to move there is nothing she can do as the blood drips down onto her lips. Rain lets out her final breath of air as the life leaves her body.

"COME ON RAIN... DRINK!!!"

Burton pulls open Rains mouth and lets the blood trickle onto her tongue.

"DRINK!"

Sakura was knocked back by the girl as she ran past her into the dojo, she was still recovering as the figure came in, he took off his sunglasses and revealed startling blue eyes. Sakura felt like those eyes could look into her soul. Finally she managed to regain her balance and chased after the two of them. Damn the man with the blue eyes was fast!!! She finally managed to catch up with them in a supply room, the girl was cornered and the man seemed to want her to drink his blood. Some weird emo psycho. She grabbed the man's shoulder and punched him in the face as hard as she could.

"RUN!!!" She screamed at the girl. She took two steps towards the distracted man and dropkicked him in the chest, cartwheeling into an onguard postion. She couldn't let the man get to the girl.

As the woman yelled at Rain she did not notice that she was too late to save Rain. As rain lay there dead, the man's blood was already making its way to the back of Rain's mouth.

Little did they know there was another set of eyes gazing upon the situation for a bit of time now. Sergei dropped from the ceiling landing in a kneeling position in front of the door way. He stood up slowly and raised his eye’s to meet with the woman who attacked the vampire to try and save the girl. Sergei stepped forward in between the two of them and turned to face the middle aged woman.

“ Take your girl blue eyes.” Sergei spoke to the man while staring at the woman without a blink of the eye.

“But, this little flower petal is mine!” Sergei growled at the woman bearing his fangs and his face was already smeared with a bit of blood from the corner of his lip and across his cheek.

"I want to know your flesh, like my last bit of prey." Sergei hissed menacingly. He reached into his pants pocket which looked soaked in blood and pulled out a chunk of human flesh and dropped it on the floor. He stood back arrogantly putting his weight on his left leg and leaned his head back cockily and with his hand motioned to the woman that the floor was hers to make the first move.

Sakura stared at the new attacker, this town was full of fucking psychos!! She stared at the flesh, imagining what it looked like after her grandfather flew into one of the carriers. She turned and saw that the girl was already dead, shit!! She couldn't save her, but she'd keep these two freaks from going anywhere.

So the emo psycho wanted to play, heh? She wouldn't dissapoint him. She charged the psycho jumping into the air and kicked out with her right foot. Her senses told her that this was a very bad move.

Sergei watched his flying foe as she leaped towards him, Sergei leaped catching her foot and jabbing his fist into her abdomen slamming her to the ground. He slithered up her body to a mounted position and pinned her arms down with his legs. He than pummeled her face with two huge right hands. He than snatched her up by her hair and slammed her against the wall. He stared deep into the girls eyes with a look of immense hatred. He runs his nails softly down the womans neck as if to toy with her and just as he passes the neck pulls his nails quickly across the top of her chest cutting her.

" I am not for the faint of heart lass!" Sergei spoke to her coldly with his face inches from hers.

Sergei steps back and goes for a kick to the woman's head.

Sakura felt like it was slow motion as the psycho leaped up and pummeled her to the ground. She barely had time to catch her breath as he was on top of her punching her. She gasped as he cut her chest, finally her instincts told her to duck out of the kick.

She barely had time to move out of the way, the kick would've killed her if she didn't move. She quickly snapped a kick to the groin. She quickly followed that up with a massive roundhouse kick to his gut sending him backing up a few steps. She took two steps and kicked him in the face sending him head over heels. With him facedown on the ground she jumped up getting ready to drill her knee into his back. "I'm not faint of heart!!" Sakura screamed as she jumped.

Sergei clearly realizing he might have underestimated his opponent. As he lied for a moment holding his gut it was to only be interrupted by the woman's knee directly to his back. Sergei grunted in pain as she got off of him. He stood back up to his feet and cracked his neck.

"You bitch!" Sergei spoke in a low voice and coughed a bit.

Sergei lunged forward taking her by her face and beat the back of her head against the wall until cracks began to form on impact and pieces of the wall fell. Than quickly he twisted her arm, and bit a small portion of flesh from her forearm away spitting the flesh to the ground he than delivered a kick directly to the bridge of her nose, and grabs her by the back of her head and slams her face first into the floor. He paces to the front of her and crouches down whiping the blood from his mouth.

"Let's see how you fair now mortal" Sergei spoke. He than stepped back and went to stomp on the back of her head.

Sakura felt her head being pounded against the wall. She was barely conscious until he twisted her arm and he bit off a small piece of her flesh. She screamed in rage and had her face bashed into the floor as a prize. She rolled out of the way then seeing his foot come down centimeters from her face.

She quickly kicked out his leg, and axe kicked him in his gut. She got up grabbing his hand and stomping down on his forearm, snapping it in two. She pulled him up by the arm and kicked him in the gut again. She ran towards him and dropkicked him right through the door of the room. She ran after him into the hallway.

Sergei slid across the hallway floor and barreled into the wall. All other pains subsided as he realized his arm had been broken. Sergei growled in pain as he stood up to his feet, he held up his arm which was bent badly over and the bone sticking through his flesh. He smirked demonicly at the woman.

"You'll have to do alot better than that woman" Sergei spoke with a bit of laughter. He grabbed his arm and twisted and pulled resetting it back into its place. He moved his fingers as the hole in his arm from his bone rehealed.

" Now, where were we!" Sergei muttered angrily because of the fight she's put up to him. On the inside Sergei was growing greatly agitated by her.

"I bet you would like to know the name of your killer, I am Sergei Timofei Konstantinov" Sergei almost spitting the words out as he lunged back at her with lightning speed reflexes he landed a sweep kick knocking her off her feet. He grabbed her by the leg and twirled his body smashing her up against the hallway wall. Her body hit with a thud to the floor, for only a split second before he hurled her into the other wall. He than delivered a brutal kick to the womans rib cage. Sergei lifted her up against the wall.

" I will have your heart!" shouted Sergei. Sergei pulled his hand back and began to thrust it forward towards her chest.

Sakura gasped as he reset his arm, what the fuck was he? She barely heard the name as she was swept off her feet. She didn't have time to get up as she was smashed into both walls. She grabbed her stomach gasping for air after he kicked her. She felt Sergei pull her up, and felt his fingers dig into her chest, digging in for her heart.

Sakura grabbed Sergei's arm and pushed him away with all her might leaving a ring of cuts on her chest. She elbowed his head into the wall, and kicked him in the gut, sending him flying down the hall closer to her office. she ran towards him and kicked him into her office. She palmed his face up into the air and kneed him in the groin. Her fist met his jaw as she uppercutted him onto her desk. She jumped up and flipped in mid air landing abdomen to abdomen onto him. She got up and was about to axe kick Sergei in the face.

Burton still sitting by Rain's side trying to get here to drink from him as a war goes on behind him.

"RAIN! DRINK!!!"

Burton hold his wrist closer as he realises the cut has healed itself over and that Rain is gone. He lets out a sigh and sits back. He puts on his sunglasses and zips up his leather jacket.

"Guess this is your end Rain. Goodbye"

Burton gets to one kneee then pulls him self right up. He takes one last look at Rain and a look at the war going on, he walks right past them and out of the dojo.

The blood from the man has finally made its way down Rains throat. She slowly begins to open her eyes only to find that the man that attacked her has left. Still in a bit of a daze she sits up, brushes her hair out of her face, and looks around the room in horror as she sees the fight that has been going on for several minutes now. She looks over at the two people, as the woman is about to kick the man in the face. “STOP!” she yells as the woman is about to connect with the man’s face.

Sakura stopped her kick just centimeters from Sergei's face. She looked for the source of the voice, and nearly feinted as she saw the girl who was dead a little while ago, in the corner of her office. What the fuck was going on!?

Sakura looked at the girl, Rain. She now remembered why she looked so familiar. "What the fuck is going on?" She asked quietly even though every last nerve in her body were shot. She didn't understand, she didn't want to understand.

This was way too much for her, and she let down her guard for a fraction of a second. That was just enough time for Sergei to act.

As the woman's voice disrupted her enemy. Sergei glanced at the other woman who moments ago was dead and back his foe, a smile crossed his face seeing his oppurtunity to get back on the offensive side. In the second she was distracted Sergei leaped off of the desk landing on his feet. Sergei grabbed the woman's head bending her down slightly. Sergei landed a fierce kick to the side of the womans leg and another to the other side. He than leaped up hitting his knee into her face landing the woman against the wall in a sitting position. Sergei stepped foward kneeling down by the woman, paying no attention to the other girl.

"For such a fierce warrior, you sure are stupid!" Sergei cackled." You should've never taken your attention off of me!

Sergei walked over to the desk and grabbed it up and flipped it with great strength sending it end over end hoping it to land on his enemy.
