Title: Something Exciting Going To Happen?
Description: Not with him here.

Xotaez - October 25, 2003 05:37 AM (GMT)
He was alone. Alone and bored. Sitting in some randomly choosen table was where he currently was. He was so bored, and it probably showed too, that was if someone could see him. He was hidden mostly by the shadows, that was if you didn't count the pulsing and neon lights flicking over his form, that was currently reclining fairly lazilly and comfortable for a nightclub. His feet were on the table, the two front legs of his chair lifted upwards, leaning back on the back two. His arms were crossed across his chest, attire most likely all of black, although rest of him unduistuishable really besides for what they were. Although as far as looks went, those were hidden too. Probably becuase of the darkness, probably becuase of the smoke, probably becuase he was wearing a black hoodie, the hood up, covering most of his face from view, unless someone wanted to get right in his face, which probably wouldn't be a very good idea..Well..perhaps it might, depened on who you were..

ooc. i don't like that post, it's strange, confusing even to me..oh well, it'll have to do heh. i'm hurrying, hate making people wait ^^

Brye - October 25, 2003 06:04 AM (GMT)
The music was deafening, sensitive to his acute hearing. His dark-hued gaze flicked across to the mass crowd of people swaying to the music, wary and uninterested. What did interest him was the boy, or was it a man? It was difficult to tell, since the youth insisted on covering his form in that dreadful, oversized hooded sweater. Brye, himself, took great pride in his outward appearance, which was apparent in his impeccable, aloof, sense of fashion. A black unbuttoned collared shirt, revealing an expanse of pale chest, and form fitting pants. Nothing too fancy.

He approached the table, taking a seat beside the youth, without saying anything. Etched upon his lips was a peculiar smile, a million of those he must have had. His eyes were set upon the other, showing nothing, but that terrible blankness he held in that drowning cobalt gaze.

Xotaez - October 25, 2003 06:14 AM (GMT)
His gaze continued it's stare onwards, as it had been this whole time. It would have seemed he was staring out into the crowd, out into the mass of thronging writhing sweaty bodies of mortals but he wasn't, he was simply staring across the table, staring at the space of air across from him and it didn't even look like he was seeing it.

He'd zoned out, yet you never would've guessed becuase all he did was blink, his silvery liquid aquamarine gaze, that gaze that was normally so clear and expressive no matter how he tried to hide it seemed to focus more then it had before on the male in front of him, who'd just gone down and seated himself there without a word. At first it seemed he was mad, angry, offended that he would just plop himself down there by the blankness on his face, but the forrowing of his brows and the double blink that followed the first one as if in disbelief. Then he narrowed his eyes, features taking on a cold hard look, that made him seem mad yet then a light smirk dared to etch itself across his features, partly an amused smile at something. If it was to be called a smirk that was. It was a strange smirk he wore, a slightly mischevious one, a somewhat dangerous one, partly annoyed and partly interested and intruiged. To tell you the truth he wasn't even sure what he was yet with this other, he wasn't sure how his thoughts set with him. He'd just seen him after all, but still, he'd done enough all ready for him to think of something. Then again he was often a very cynical scruitinizing person, he always had been.

He sat there still for a moment, unmoving, his hands shoved within the pockets of his black hoody, simply watching the other, his brows finally raising curiously. "Help yourself to a chair why don't ya?" His smirked widening, slightly sarcastic his tone was, slight playful yet slightly mischevious and serious at the same time.

ooc. urg..i'm the biggest rambler today, it bothers me lol

Brye - October 25, 2003 06:46 AM (GMT)
He laughed then, a velvet sound, though it carried with it a bitter edge. His hands came to rest lightly upon the hard surface of table, the pale fingers impossibly long, as his gaze never left the other.

"Manners were never my greatest asset. A penny for your thoughts?" He knew he could have easily stripped it from him, so susceptible were the minds of the some of the younger ones. He liked playing these games, they gave him something of a challenge, however many there were left to him, after so many centuries.

"You look so surprised, boy, what is it you find so interesting about me?" His voice was a silvery sound, soothing. Practice. This was all a facade anyhow. No, nothing was ever going to get past him, again.

Xotaez - October 25, 2003 06:52 AM (GMT)
Even when the other rested his hands on the table his feet still sat there, still reclining as he was, his gaze still locked on the other's as the other's was. He didn't look away, why would he? He had no reason, so he didn't.."Staring contest?" He smirked again, holding back chuckles. The question was formed as that, a question, partly asking the other if he'd like to start one, sarcastically of course, the other part as if asking if that was what they were doing now and he hadn't known, like someone asks if it's who they're looking for on the phone, or coming into a game late or something, just guessing at what they thought it was. Then agian perhaps he was playing, or, like always perhaps he was serious, it was hard to tell with him.

At the other's question though and comments he simply shrugged, he didn't find anything that would be usefull or have a point in replying to that. Not like his replies always did but still. At his next comment though he blinked, his mouth opening in a surprised "o" he didn't know how old he was, he knew nothing about him. He looked young but that didn't mean he was, and definatly not as young as a boy. Oh well, he'd let it pass, he'd pretend he didn't notice, he'd pretend he had liked the name.."Mmm, nice choice of name you got there for me. Boy..." He tilted his head, seeming to think, seeming to muse over the name "Xo likes" He smirked, or he had been this whole time. He found this amusing, then again he found alot of things amusing. Either amusing or dreadfully boring, mostly extremes with him..He didn't know if the othetr would know who Xo was, shortening of his name simply. He hadn't answered the question though now had he? Looked like he hadn't..Looked like he wasn't..

Brye - October 25, 2003 07:18 AM (GMT)
"I call it as I see it." It held an almost condescending tone to it. He was growing impatient, and things were not exactly going as he expected, as most of the time he made sure they were. In control was how he liked it. Quite a temperamental one had here with him.

His attention came to as the name was casually thrown in, Xo? Perhaps he had heard it once or twice... though for the life of him he could not quite remember, too many memories to recall spanning that of more than half a millenia...

There was nothing that radiated from the boy that indicated anything... unusual, save for that faint aura that vampires often gave off, was there more to this one? No. He'd have caught it, wouldn't he?

"And what are you trying to play at?"

Xotaez - October 25, 2003 03:47 PM (GMT)
He leaned back further in his chair, rocking back and forth slightly for a while before his legs were removed off the table, the legs of the chair placed back down although he still didn't sit in the chair really, this time his legs streched outwards, his head resting on the back of the chair, streched out like there was no tomorrow. "So you're saying I look like a boy? Hmm.." He wasn't really asking the question, he wasn't stupid, he would've been offended if he had been any different, but he wasn't, he didnt get offended easily. Let him think he looked like a boy, he didn't care, he wasn't. It's not like he'd been turned when he was a boy, he hadn't been that old, maybe 21 or 22, which was young but not in mortal years of course.

At his next comment he shrugged lightly, as if one shrugged at something they didn't really care about, almost brushing it off casually it seemed he was yet then he wasn't, becuase then he'd replied. "I can be playing at whatever you like me to be playing at..I can take requests if you'd like, what do ya have in mind there?" His smirk fell so his features were blank, looking total serious, although if he was or not it was hard to tell.

Brye - October 27, 2003 05:21 AM (GMT)
Boy. Yes, that was what he called him. A very... pretty one. His fascination with beauty had never left him, however strange it sounded. Supposedly it had stemmed from his own turning; he could not forget what he had been used as... his thoughts turned resentful for a moment, but he swept them from his mind and focused on what to make of this new situation he had at hand.

At the phrasing of the question, the humour faded from his eyes, but a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. It could be interpreted in numerous different ways. At the moment, several things ran through his mind, and not any of them pleasant. Did he know the significance of what he was asking?

Leaning in close, his voice was almost a whisper, barely audible through the loud blast of music that reverberated throughout the club. "Presently..." His nose wrinkled slightly at the strong odour emitted from the humans, a mixture of sweat and that sweet sickening smell of mortal. He seemed about to say something else, but his reply was a simple, "Only how bothersome these people are." The placidness in it was almost unnerving.

Xotaez - October 27, 2003 08:28 PM (GMT)
His serious-ness immediatly evaporated as his usually worn smirk replaced the look on his features. Even though the other didn't seem to find this as amusing he did, he found everything amusing practically. Yet the other was smiling sort of, so that had to be good, he wasn't purposly trying to get the other annoyed with him or dislike him or anything, it just how he was usually..Now of course was no different

As the other leaned in he stayed where he was, not moving at all to help himself hear better. He already was leaning back in his chair, it probably would've been easier to lean in some himself so the other wouldn't have to lean in so far but oh well, to late now. He nodded at the other's words, totally agreeing. "I agree..I propose we should go somewhere else..Hmm? What'd'ya say..?" He trailed off here, having intended on inserting his name but realized he didn't know it, so he sort of left it hanging, as if suggesting he'd like to know.

He didn't like mortals very much, they were alright but more of an annoyance to him, then again it depended on his mood, and now he wasn't really in it to deal with them. He'd been here for a while, alone and bored, yet now this other had come along, one of his own, what he liked..Normally he liked anyone and welcomed any company, but beautiful company was even better..Was what he found himself thinking about this other. Beautiful, handsome, attractive, some called it different, some the same but whatever it all meant the same to him. And this guy had it..that was for sure, he'd hate to part ways so quickly..Just when he was having some fun. If he left, which he wanted to, get away from these mortals, he wanted the other to come too..

Brye - October 28, 2003 07:10 AM (GMT)
"Agreed. And it's Brye." He only offered that one name, nothing more. What were the uses of last names anymore, when the name he had given was not even his true one?

"And just where would you like to go? I am not entirely familiar with this city."

He smoothed down one corner of his black, buttoned shirt, and with liquid grace he rose to his feet, standing to his full height. He wasn’t extremely tall for a man, but his slender and lean frame made it seem like so. An ashen white hand extended to help Xo out of his chair, as if expecting him to take it. It was an eccentricity on his part, and it certainly looked out of place here. Brye did not in the least expected such a thing, as he glanced down now at the young man... vampire... before him, exuding such confidence... he almost laughed at this, because hadn't he been the same not too long ago?

(OOC: Heh, very sorry... my mind's gone blank and my creative side is feeling pretty... bleh)

Xotaez - October 28, 2003 02:58 PM (GMT)
He nodded, making no motion what so ever to offer the other his hand or anything. He hadn't done it so either would he, it wasn't what he'd do anyways. "Charmed to meet ya Brye..Xotaez" Of course the last was his name. He called himself Xo though, somtimes Taez, sometimes Xotaez. He'd never let anyone shorten it before besides himself, but the guy had already heard him use it so he didn't see any harm, it'd seem strange if he used it himself and not let him. Anyways, he couldn't help himself when the other was so beautiful.."You can shorten it as you wish though" He added, as an after thought.

At his next statement, comment, question whatever he shrugged. He wasn't this familar with the city either, but he guessed that it'd make it more fun, more exciting or something. "I'm not sure..I'm not very familiar either but I'm not afraid to just wander looking for something..I hope you aren't?" Unless he knew of some other place they would have to. All he knew where things was this night club and his aparatment, but he was doubting he'd want to go there and he had no problem wandering searching for places, but he wasn't sure about the other.

He'd smirked, fading to a smile as Brye offered him his hand. One of his eyebrows raising, as if surprised as he was, but took it none the less, nodding his thanks he helped himself up, standing next to him. He wasn't that tall himself but he wasn't short either, probably taller then most that was for sure, not like it mattered.

Brye - October 31, 2003 02:22 AM (GMT)
"Likewise, Xotaez... a fine name. Not one you hear very often these days..." A look of quiet amusement crossed his face as Xo had accepted the hand, almost one of appreciation, though he let it drop after the other stood up. He looked almost sorry, but then, he wasn’t going to let this one go anytime soon.

"Not at all... wherever it pleases you to go is fine by me. Although..." A pause, and the sudden intake of air filled his nostrils with that mortal smell again, throat tightening. Brye silently cursed himself for having developed such vulnerability towards it, and his need of having to feed constantly. And he had not fed for a few days. It was a fault that came from the pleasure given from killing prey; difficult to stop once you had discovered the intoxication of it.

Brye shook his head slightly to clear it, his eyes skimming his surroundings for a quick exit. Finally catching sight of it, he weaved his way through the crowd, in the expectation that Xotaez was following. His movement was hurried, before he could make a bloody mess of things... it wasn't exactly clever for him to deny himself of such neccessities, since he was almost sure he'd be setting himself up for something extremely unpleasant... for the poor humans, of course.

Xotaez - October 31, 2003 03:28 AM (GMT)
He nodded, a nod of thanks again. He was smirking lightly, a cross between a smile of thanks and a smirk of amusment and concitedness almost, as if he was thinking "of course it'd be a fine name, it is mine" but not quite that far, just slightly, almost though perhaps. He didn't say anything to either of his comments as Brye then had started off weaving in and out of the crowd, and Xotaez did the same.

He definatly could've been more careful about where he was going and his weaving but he was sort of just barging on through, making them move for him then him for them, after all that was how it should be shouldn't it? At least he thought so.

He exited the building shortly after Brye (ooc; assuming he already did heh) his hands still shoved within the pockets of his hoodie, his hoodie still pulled over his head, covering most of his hair and shielding some of his features from view when it was dark here and there. Turning back to Brye, that same smirk he often wore still there. "You were about to say something back there?" He had meant his although of course..He had said anywhere was fine but that although..He wanted to know what he was about to say, in case he had a preference of where he didn't want to go or something. If that was the case Xo certainly would've liked to know, he didn't want to take full charge or anything..

Brye - November 2, 2003 04:44 AM (GMT)
He ran a hand over his hair in contemplation, settling stray strands of dark raven hair from his face, the other hand thrust in a pant pocket. The soft glow emitted from the streetlights now illuminated his face, emphasizing the sharp, angular contours, but the slight feminine edge it held somewhat softened the features.

Cars sped by along the street, and he was there, back leaned upon a graffitied wall next to a seedy nightclub, in the middle of the night, talking to another young male. He was met with quite a few stares, but they were received with a haughty glare and obscured contempt. Languid gaze drifted towards Xo, though it did not meet the other’s eyes.

His words were vague, and he seemed to be talking to himself. "A walk then. Lovely night. The pollution can't be doing anybody much good, but either than that, lovely. Take a walk with me."

He turned his head slightly to get a better view of Xotaez, and was greeted with the sight of his hooded form. "Must you insist on hiding your face? It can't be that bad now, can it." Instinctively, slim fingers reached over to Xo, drawing the hood down before any protest could be made.

Xotaez - November 2, 2003 04:53 AM (GMT)
He still stood where he was, just having stepped out of the night club although his companion had switched positions to lean agaisnt a wall. He didn't do anything though, just stood there. He didn't find any point moving or anything and getting comfortable when he figured they'd be on the move again going somewhere else so he'd wait to get comfortable when they went wherever they planned on going, or until they did what they were planning on doing, whatever that was.

His gaze again flicked to Brye as he started to speak, expecting an answer to his question only to be met by comments on the night and a walk. Sounded fine to him, it was a nice night, he had to admit it, no matter how the other's tone was he figured, or assumed he was still talking to him. "Yes..A walk will be fine.." He hadn't asked what he'd thought of it but he'd replied that way, only becuase it was how he was. That smirk had disapeared off his face, oddly enough, and suddenly he'd became quite serious..

He became even more serious when he mentioned of him wearing his hoodie. He didn't always wear it, it was just tonight. He wasn't particuarly ugly, in fact fairly good looking but maybe perhaps he didn't find it nessecary to privledge everyone with his good looks..Then again perhaps not as well, who knew. "I don't know, can It?" He gave a light shrug, as if he didn't care it was on or not but he preferred it only to have Brye reach over and remove it himself, which he answered to this with a shrug. "S'pose I can't be that bad..Then again I wouldn't call myself beautiful either, wouldn't want to sound concited would I?" His smirk again returned, tilting his head towards Brye, slightly sarcastic as if he did think himself beautiful but didn't want to call himself that.

Either way his hoodie was removed and his features were revealed. There was nothing spectacular about him really. His eyes were silvery aquamarine, although dark at the same time. On his head was a spiky dark hair, blueish black. Nothing to special, now was it?

ooc. still no avatar for me T_T i have a piccie of him, in case you would like to see him. it's on the help board under the avatar thread on the last page, just in case you were wondering since i didn't descibe him very well heh

Brye - November 2, 2003 05:20 AM (GMT)
He briskly stood from his leaning position and slowly took a walking gait down the dimly lit streets, the sound of cars and nightlife a constant background din. The look of professional boredom that was usually apparent on his face was replaced with one of mock surprise. "Modesty from you, a welcome change? And why not priviledge these humans with your supernatural beauty, a gift in which you were so generously given?" It almost seemed he had read Xotaez’ thoughts.

His darkened lips twisted into a wry smile. "They will do anything for it. It is... extremely entertaining.”

At this, he narrowed his eyes, "Or are you one of those that sympathize with their pathetic lives?" His voice held distaste.

Had he been human once? He'd forgotten.

Xotaez - November 2, 2003 05:36 AM (GMT)
His own gait was taken up as Brye's was. His own waltzing sauntering type gait. He was quick to place his feet down yet just as quick to pick them up again, his gaze not even really looking at his surroundings, as if he didn't want to spoil his eyes with that trash. His normal smirk widened, chuckling lightly as he shrugged. "Eh..Perhaps a bit of modesty..Not much though, I can't hold it for to long..Since we all know I am beautiful, those petty mortals don't deserve it..Why let them see it if they aren't worthy of it themselves? None of them are this beautiful, so why let them see it? Not when I'm getting to see some beauty in return will they see it. Which they never have of course. So I don't see why I should bother?" He'd phrased it as a question for some odd reason, although it wasn't really one.."I have no worries here though, you of course have the privledge, being very gifted yourself as well.."

He nodded, one lip curling upwards in a snarling like sneer, his features taking on a look of obvious distate. "Extrememly..Entertaining I mean. If we're talking about me sympathizing with them not at all, never have an' never will.." His nose had wrinkled up, as if he'd tasted something bad even speaking of them. It was obvious he didn't like them, not one bit, as if he'd never been a mortal himself..He had of course but not anymore, he was better now. More beautiful too.

Brye - November 2, 2003 06:05 AM (GMT)
The quiet laughter that came was unexpected. His words that followed were less humourous, and tinged with a slight bitterness. "There are beautiful mortals." It was a statement. His eyes were looking forward, oblivious, a memory embedded. "It's a cursed thing. I was turned solely for the purpose of being a... toy." He had not intended to share this, it had caught him unawares.

"Ah, so what's your story? A good one, now."

Xotaez - November 2, 2003 06:10 AM (GMT)
His eyebrows rose at the statement from Brye. Was there? He didn't think so, he'd never seen one..Well of course when he'd been mortal he'd thought that but now that he wasn't he didn't, he was immortal, why think the mortal were when he had all these other beautiful immortals as well to pick from? "Is there?" He asked for some reason. It was a stupid question sort of, like asking someone why they like hotdogs or something. "Beauty or being a mortal?" He asked at Brye's next comment. He couldn't have helped himself of course, he was always way to curious and never knew when to stay out of things. Or maybe he did but just didn't, although i'm guessing the latter. After all the was Xotaez..

Another shrug was given from him. He didn't particuarly have any good story, just that he was a bit concited now, thought himself better now too. Not to good for him to be like but that's how he was. "My story? It's not that exciting.." It really wasn't, or at least he didn't think so. Then again this coming from the guy who'd said he hadn't been that beautiful? (True, he'd changed it later but still, he'd said it once)

Brye - November 2, 2003 06:32 AM (GMT)
"Beauty, of course." His eyes turned upon Xotaez and wondered again how old he really was. He had mistook him for a fledgling, and by his attitude it could have been easily assumed.

Brye's tone was effortless, as if he'd been through the same conversation many times. "And that is why I make it my purpose to make these women suffer." It was also a means to satisfy the natural instinct towards violence, it could not be helped.

"Try me. I'm open to... anything."

Xotaez - November 2, 2003 06:42 AM (GMT)
He nodded, shrugging, not really saying anything to his comments, anything much to any of his comments really. He really couldn't think of anything that would do much good after all, and his smirk had disapeared once again, only this time it didn't look like it'd be coming back soon, for some odd reason he'd seemed to get very serious and somber..Not at all his normal self obviously. Why he wasn't sure himself, maybe the mention of him having to try Brye with her story, which really wasn't anything spectacular. Or maybe it was just becuase it was how he was, maybe he had mood swings or something.

He gave a flick of his head, only so he could remove a few stray strands of his hair out of face. It was to no avail as usual though as they fell back once more just as quickly as he'd brushed them away, like they always did but having him try made him feel better about it. "Always felt like they were expecting to much of me. That I had to conform to being beautiful, and if I wasn't something was wrong and they would pester me until I made up some excuse of what was wrong only to then have them go about and trying to make it better..Which just got on my nerves..When I failed at things it wasn't to good either, it was like they expected me to be perfect and do everything right. Then they'd make me feel bad and guilty about things I never did, blaming it on whatever I had supposdly messed up becuase of my looks or happened to fail at..So then I sort of became paranoid, always worried something would go wrong and i'd get pestered and yelled at and screamed and then when i'd try to fix it it'd never work, and when it did it raised their expectations of me more..I s'pose you could say I couldn't handle it, there was more then once I wished I wasn't as beautiful as I was.." Wasn't that spectacular, it'd been a quick telling and not even a good one. At least he'd get the jest, of some of the things, there'd been more but nothing to important, and he didn't feel like sharing right now either. "But what about you?"

Brye - November 2, 2003 07:12 AM (GMT)
"Were you from one of those aristocratic families, then?"

Ahead of them, he saw a prostitute standing on the corner of a deserted street, and a car coming to a slow stop as it neared her. He turned away with a disdainful flick of blue eyes.

An edge of amusement was in his voice, his reponse short and simple. "I was a... how would you say this... well then, love slave, for lack of better words. They had their fun after a while, and turned me loose when they became bored." A very simplified version of the first two hundred years of his undead life. Personal details need not be told... especially to one he thought would not care in the least bit.

Xotaez - November 2, 2003 09:05 AM (GMT)
He nodded, another one of those lip curls and the wrinkling of his nose..It seemed he did that alot, at least it was his way of expressing distate, or speaking of something he didn't like with a passion. "Yes..That I was..They're certainly not at all what they're always cracked up to be i'll say that much.." His eyes widened slightly, as if emphasizing something. He enjoyed his life now way better then he had before, allthough before he'd had respect and practically everything he'd wanted it hadn't been as fun, or exciting or as good for that matter. This one was much better. Much much better. "I finally left, Didn't say a thing, just left with only the clothes on my back. It was great, leaving I mean. It's great now too. This life now, I like it much better" Those ones had been his best too, his clothes he'd left with, not look wise or anything but he'd got them for himself, bought them, he hadnt just had them handed to him for his looks or what he was or anything, not like he'd been anything to special but still, the way the people around him had acted you'd think differently that was for sure. He hadn't wanted to take anything with him that he'd gotten from them, he didn't like stuff handed to him like that, at least not everything..

A little "mmm" sort of thing was heard from he as he listened to Brye's short version, most likely simplified, as if he knew what he was talking about. "Ah, I see..I can only guess how not fun that was?" He hoped he wasn't treading on some subject he didn't wish to talk about..But of course, like always, he asked it anyways.

Brye - November 3, 2003 01:27 AM (GMT)
There was a brief silence, as if he was gathering his thoughts.

"You get bored of it. It wears off after a while... the tedium of everyday feeding gets to be a bit of pain even."

When asked of the next question, an expression resembling that of a sneer was painted upon his face. Not fun was an understatement. Perhaps along the way he had believed he was in love with the woman he had called his mistress, but the dull sting of rejection could still be felt when he realized he was only just a lapdog, after all.

"It wasn't." And that was all he said.

Xotaez - November 3, 2003 01:33 AM (GMT)
He nodded, not saying anything. Were Brye's silence had been brief his wasn't, he didn't reply to either of Brye's comments. Or at least his replies to his questions, not his comments really, his answers. He didn't know really what to say, it'd all sort of killed the conversation. Maybe he would've been better not having asked anything at all..To late now though, so now instead he walked in silence, his gaze locked straight ahead, hands shoved within his pockets. Yet then he remembered his hoodie had been removed, and it didn't stay removed for long becuase one hand had exited the confines of his pockets to put his hoodie back on again. He wasn't trying to hide his features or anything from Brye, but perhaps from others.

Brye - November 4, 2003 01:38 AM (GMT)
A sigh, most likely that of disapproval, escaped from his lips as he watched Xotaez' pull up his hood once again, but this time, he made no move to dissaude him.

Turning a corner, they were now at an intersection, leaving behind the central part of the city. The high-rise structures and brightly lit streets were now giving way to dilapidated buildings and streets littered with trash. His movement came to a halt, as he looked to Xotaez for an idea of where their next direction should be.

Then a scream, shrill with terror, was elicited from a nearby alleyway. It couldn't be made out clearly whether it was male or female, but a feeling similar to pleasure ran up his spine as he heard it, he could almost taste the fear of whoever the scream had come from.

Xotaez - November 4, 2003 03:33 AM (GMT)
He turned his gaze, questioning to Brye as he heard the sigh, his eyebrows raising as a light smirk dancing across his features and he shrugged. "What?" Like he didn't know that Brye probably didn't like his hood up..Not many people did like it when it was up, not like he cared, if they went somewhere else he'd take it off, probably the whole darned sweatshirt but for now he was wearing it.

He stopped as Brye did, his eyes darting this way and that, as if thinking. Either way looked the same to him, it didn't really matter as long as they went some where. He had opened his mouth to speak yet closed it again, hearing the scream.

At the scream his smirk disapeared to be replaced by a calculating thoughtful look. Whoever it had come from was obviously frightened, or they were just playing but he was doubting it. Be it male or female all the same, either way he wished to find whoever had scream..See what he was missing, perhaps possibly join in on the fun, even if he wasn't hungry.

Brye - November 5, 2003 02:47 AM (GMT)
He gave a light shrug of his shoulders, the expression on his face unreadable. Assuming Xotaez had no particular destination in mind, he moved towards the narrow corridor with that silent, graceful walk only the undead could possibly have. He would never have had leftovers from another's feeding, but now, most anything would do. Except animals. The thought of even having rodents or anything of the kind for dinner was utterly... nauseating.

He kicked at a few overturned trashcans, making enough noise to warn another vampire, if it was indeed one, of his presence. A small sobbing whimper was the response. Unhurriedly, his gaze drifted to that of an outline of a small figure crumpled against the wall, a girl. Not exactly a child, but a youth no older than fourteen, or so he thought. Bloodied, and battered. Just as he was about to reach a hand out to touch the girl's face, a piercing scream came from behind him and grabbed his leg, long nails digging into his flesh.

"Leave her ALONE! She's mine! MINE!" It came as a screech, high and angry. The blonde woman was still latched onto his leg, refusing to let go. Her strength was incredible, as was common with most vampires.

"Kindly do let go, Marisa. Your voice annoys me. And I was only making sure you clean up after your messes, as your meals do have a tendency to get away -although how, is beyond me --" He flicked his eyes to the barely conscious girl at this, "-- creating undesirable situations for others." He took on a sarcastic tone, it was almost a rare accomplishment coming from him.

Marisa's screech came again, and her voice was accusing, "Don't you EVER TOUCH MY FOOD! You PERVERTED son of a BITCH! Don't you think that I don't know what you do to..."

A mocking smile curled upon his lips, "And what is it that I do? I have not stooped so low as to picking on children now, though I may have yet to try it... I hear they are simply delectable, so innocent..."

(OOC: O.o Hee... think I got a little overdramatic in that episode over there... hope I didn't scare you away, I did tell you he WAS twisted xP)

Xotaez - November 5, 2003 03:14 AM (GMT)
He didn't make any other movements except a little change of direction and the figure clad in black that was Xotaez had quickly and effiniently altered his direction to follow after Brye, just as silently.

Where Brye kicked some few overturned trashcans he did nothing, not wanting to make to much noise figuring Brye was doing a good enough job, and anyways he often didn't make noise when approaching someone, it just wasn't what he did. His brows rose once more at the sight of the girl. It's not that he had problems with children, he had fed on them many a times yet he preferred to keep it clean, as clean as possible..He was terribly clean when it came to feeding, probably almost wrongfully so yet now wasn't the time to talk about that. He wasnt hungry, and he didn't feed off of others left overs ever anyways.

He watched as Brye approached, and then that scream came agin and that lady garbbed his leg. His brows rose even higher, holding back a smirk at the scene although he said nothing, no matter how much he wished to. He had many comments he could say yet said none, instead stood there watching, that smirk on his features, his brows rose and his hood up, his hands shoved within his pockets.

(ooc; nope, didn' scare me away ^^ xo's pretty twisted himself actually..at times..lol)

Brye - November 5, 2003 03:39 AM (GMT)
At the commotion from which they were obviously making, the young girl shifted slightly from her crumpled position, eyelids fluttering. Brye threw a look of disgust in the Marisa's direction.

"Finish her off now, before I take it upon myself to do it." He could feel his dead heart seize at the faint reminder of blood in the air, and his voice nearly broke.

Marisa held on, eyes staring up contentedly at Brye, a sneer twitching upon her lips. He did not much like the idea of feeding in front of an audience, and did not intend to do so, though a feeding oppurtunity was just before him, waiting.

Exasperated, he looked to Xotaez for help, as if asking him to help pry the woman loose.

Xotaez - November 6, 2003 12:02 AM (GMT)
He held back some more chuckles although he knew he probably shouldn't be laughing, he didn't think it was supposed to be funny but he being who he was of course found it so, whether he wished it otherwise or not.

This was out of hand though..Whoever this Marisa was she was getting on his nerves and the situtation was quickly becoming annoying from amusing. Maybe it was the whole fact this Marisa seemed not at all about to listen to Brye. Maybe it was becuase she was holding onto him so tightly and didn't seem about to let go or something, he wasn't sure..Either way he intended to get her off of him, and with the look from Brye it gave him even more reason to with him seeming to want her off as well.

He stepped forward, his hands being removed from his pockets, removing his hood so he could see better in case he needed to or something before he bent down towards the woman, hands going to grasp her shouldars, probably a bit more rougher then was nessecary. "Alright then love, time for you to finish your business and be off.." He mumbled, a bit of a grunt more then anything his words were as he applied a hint of pressure pulling her off of Brye as for her to get the hint to let go and get off of him, if she didn't get it he'd pry her off but for now he was just there to help, give a hint and see if she got it..

Brye - December 17, 2003 04:16 AM (GMT)
The blonde woman gave a startled wide-eyed stare to Xotaez, but the look of momentary confusion upon her face was quickly cleared, and in its place was fierce anger. She snarled, baring her fangs, "Call your dog off!"

A hand snaked down to entwine itself in the woman’s hair, almost stroking it, before his hand clenched and pulled at the roots, forcing her head up to look him full in the face. Another faint smile creased upon those lips again, lovely as they always were, but never quite genuine.

"Dog? As I recall, you wore that title last... but he's pretty, no?"

A violent jerk of his arm brought the woman to her feet, but his eyes wandered inadvertently to the child, before turning them back upon Marisa, his lips pressed in a disapproving frown. Grip tightened, and he flung her away from him, resulting in the sound of a sickening crack as her body connected with that of the brick wall.

He held no concern in his voice as he spoke, as he knew the woman was still very much alive and conscious, though undoubtedly very sore... or was that an understatement? "I think I will take her just to spite you... ah, you should have done what I told you... you know, her suffering will be much more prolonged now..." He was beside the young girl, who was immobilized with fear, his hand tilting her head back and aside, exposing the beautiful, paleness of the neck... his trembling fingers ran across the smooth skin, a long fingernail used to make a thin, but deep enough cut to draw blood. Brye lifted his head to look up at Xotaez and gestured to the girl, "I... am always a gentlemen." The cold irony of it all...

(OOC: It's me again... I'm very sorry about just leaving like that and not telling you, I had some personal issues to look after... but nevermind, I'll be around here more now... that is I hope you're still around and still want to continue... ^^'')

Xotaez - December 18, 2003 05:57 AM (GMT)
ooc. it's fine, i'm just glad you're back! I was beginging to worry, but yes, i'm still up for continueing ^^ post might be a bit bad, a bit rusty with Xo. I am..heh

At the woman's look of confusion his smirk widened, obviously having this please him, obviously finding it all very amusing. He said nothing at her snarl, only smirked, or grinned perhaps now, wider and wider. If that was even possible, it was already so intense and extreme it was hard to believe, all that maniacle amused edge, all of that great stuff that makes Xotaez up an' all. Was he a dog now? Was that it? Interesting, very..He'd have to add that one to his list, he'd never been called that one before! And as another's dog too? Even better! That one made him laugh, chuckle more likely. Brye's dog now was he? How funny this woman was. He didn't seem to mind her words, perhaps he wouldn't mind being called a dog, perhaps he did but the adding of her referring to him as Brye's dog, perhaps that he didn't mind..Or perhaps he just didn't care, who really knew now.

Yet then Brye's hand had snaked down and entwined itself in the woman's hair, and then he'd replied so no more was needed from Xotaez, not like he'd been helping much anyways. Brye had said he pretty, even more amusing, becuase he was..Brye was pretty himself if they were going to start talking about pretty, but they weren't, so he'd save his opinions for later. For now though he got to watch that wonderful scene, those great actions that Brye did to deal with that woman. Good, she'd deserved it all.

He'd stepped back as Brye had grabbed onto her, so he still hadn't been holding on when she'd been tossed away yet he stepped closer again as Brye bent down towards the girl, watching avidly with a pleased smirk upon his features. "If I may say so I like you..." Yes, that he did. He didn't say how he'd liked how he'd handled things, perhaps he'd meant just that, or perhaps he was being corny and stuff saying he actually seriously did like him like him He'd let Brye take the statement as he wished, didn't matter to Xotaez, either way would be correct anyways so why would he care? Then Brye had offered him, saying of how gentlemanly he was always. Well Xotaez certainly thought so, in his twisted sick way he did. He wasn't really hungry, but how could one deny anything being spoken by that so lovely and beautiful being? The point was one couldn't, at least Xotaez couldn't, he was weak like that perhaps. He nodded, situtating himself bent down next to Brye. "Thank you my kind sir. I wouldn't feel fair though, not offering it back to you first, to see if you were sure an' all.." He was so strange Xo was, so...so strange. He had offered it back, as one does to make sure the other is sure, just in case..

Brye - December 19, 2003 09:56 AM (GMT)
It was not like him to ever share a meal, that, he thought, was almost too personal and intimate an act. But he was feeling generous, and Xo had been so successful in providing him a source of amusement for this night.

"You... like me? There are too many. But you... ah... maybe you're different." He never had a second thought when inflicting hurt or lying, he was so skillfully adept at it, it came almost as second nature. Truthfully, he meant to have his fun and the way in which he had discarded every one of those he had used, every one of them like broken dolls, used to his advantage, were evidence enough of what he really hid behind that exterior... but they were too blind to see through. And he meant to keep it that way.

"You don't mind then..." His eyes were fixated upon the girl. Lifting her chin up, he dipped his head towards the child's neck, first tasting the fine droplets of blood that were beading from the small cut. His lips curled back, revealing the pair of sharp incisors, and then the rapid descent of his fangs upon her neck, ripping away at the tender flesh and the vein that lay beneath, the blood spewing forth in gushes... there was too much. What had once been her neck was just raw meat... a barely attached head, the white of her dress stained by her own blood. He almost laughed, there had never been remorse felt for taking another's life, why would a child be any different?

Xotaez - December 20, 2003 07:07 AM (GMT)
ooc. this one might be a bit short, i'm kinda rushed, not sure how much time i have but i'd rather have a reply up then none at all, jus' in case you get on later tonight or early morning or something..i might return to edit it later tonight, but if you get on then then feel free to still reply of course heh

He gave a little shrug, a little roll of his eyes and a glance elsewhere, making some little noise as one does when they're joking with someone. Joking with someone about something that they both knew wasn't true, and one was just playing and being all oh yeah, that's me alright, although they both knew it wasn't. But this wasn't one of those situations, why was he doing that little act usually only reserved for those moments then? Why you ask? Cuz' he did, cuz' he could, he didn't follow the normal mold, the normal templated cookie cutter in case you have forgotten. "I wont say to what extent that like is, But i'll say I do. Not afraid of that" What would be the point of lieing? He still could just be talking about how Brye worked, but he could be thinking something else, who knew, he had never specified so he wasn't digging himself a hole or nothin' to bad, he'd never said anything specific, which meant it couldn't be turned agaisnt him to much. If it could well then he didn't care. "But yes..You'll see, I am different.." He chuckled, perhaps being sarcastic, perhaps being serious, it was sometimes hard to tell with him. It was how he wanted it, it was how it was now.

He shook his head at his mention of not minding, of course he didn't, he wasn't one to care about such a thing, he wasn't..he just didn't. If he had he wouldn't have offered. He had watched Brye as he'd fed upon the girl, yet just briefly before he'd got tired of watching, and without even asking or anything had bent down and fed himself, although only for a short period of time, you'll have to remember he wasn't that hungry or anything, he just thought i'd look better, be better for him later if he hadn't refused. He smirked, at the way Brye handled things. Yes, he did indead like this one, either how he handled things or more, who really knew these days, i've stopped trying to pretend, and to attempt to figure it out, so should you perhaps, save a whole lot of time, he's so odd he is.

Brye - December 20, 2003 08:38 AM (GMT)
"Is that so..." And it was without warning that his fingers caught hold of Xotaez' chin, tilting the other's head to face him, before pressing bloodied lips upon Xo's, catching him in a smiling kiss. It was only for that single moment, and as quickly as it happened, he drew back with that ever-present self-contained arrogance...

It always served as an element of surprise when he caught them at a moment like that, but it should not have come as a surprise at all... there was little in what he would not do, challenging every constraint and barrier in which society had put up for itself. Anyhow, a man was just as good as any woman.

"It was purely out of curiosity, forgive me..." His langourous gaze stayed fixed on Xo, he was the very embodiment of non-chalance...

Xotaez - December 21, 2003 01:06 AM (GMT)
Surprise! Xo had in fact been surprised by that, although he shouldn't have been being how he was. It wasn't that annoyed surprise that people sometimes felt, it wasn't that shocked surprise it was just..there. I guess it really couldn't even be considered or named as surprise really, it was just something there, something that can't really have a finger be put on it, no point at it or anything, one of those moments of feeling as Brye's bloody lips met his own equally bloody ones (I lie, probably not equally, he was clean, very immaculate in fact when feeding..Probably unhealthly sickly clean in fact. Why he wasn't sure, he just always had been, guess it made up for how bad he was elsewhere at times..)

It was so quick. That acquantaince between their lips so speedy, ending as quickly as it'd happened that he hadn't had really any time to respond, any time to do anything. By the time it'd registered in his mind Brye had pulled away, watching him, apologizing how it was all out of curiosity an' all that. Yet if his had been out of curiousness, and Xo was always one to be terribly curious then why couldn't he be just as curious? Just as surprising? Although he was doubting it'd be any surprise, not after Brye had just pulled his own little one, but not like Xo cared, he didn't care for things like that, surprise and stuff. He did what he wanted, when he wanted, and now was one of those times.

Yes, one of those times indead. As soon as Brye had finished talking Xo himself had moved in, placing his own smirking kiss in return upon Brye's lips, his hand having quickly flown to the back of his neck, pulling him closer before he himself pulled back again. Definatly not as quickly as Brye's had been, no, his had taken more time, but he could be just as curious couldn't he? Probably wouldn't be a surprise, not to one such as Brye but who cares, as we already established not Xo. "No need to apologize my dear. Now we're even, both of us acting upon our curiousity and all.." He gave a light shrug, his gaze locking upon Brye's, seeming to find this all very amusing, very entertaining. Although where Brye was all nonchalent Xo was definatly not. Not at all. It was almost as if he was proud of it perhaps? Who really knew, he was just in reality normal Xo, only with his hood down, situated closer to Brye then he'd originally been. Almost the same Xo.

Brye - December 22, 2003 08:51 AM (GMT)
His eyes remained open the duration of this second kiss, only now noticing the finer details of Xo's face, the fine arch of his brows and the defined cheekbones; truly, it must have looked heavenly when still in its human innocence, as it looked now, unchanged in its immortal form.

He brushed the blood from his lips with the quick swipe of his shirt sleeve, still tasting the metallic coppery sweetness upon his tongue. With incredible speed, he pushed Xo roughly to the ground, his legs swinging gracefully to straddle him in an effort to prevent any struggling movement. He used one hand to pin Xo's right arm down, the other encircling around Xo's neck.

Brye leaned in, his face inches from touching the other's, his words coming out in a ragged hiss, "But are you so sure you want to play such a dangerous game?" His grip around Xo's neck tightened just a bit, nails digging in slightly. He was still in a sort of dazed high, finding a perversed pleasure in the pain caused and the blood-drenched scene before him.

(OOC: I might have done a bit of power-playing there... but I didn't know any other way to get around it, for what I wanted to do so... >_<)

Xotaez - December 22, 2003 11:23 PM (GMT)
ooc. it's fine, I don't care ^^ I mean I do care, but not with something like that because...just cuz', lol.

He had done nothing in the motion Brye had caused, that quick action of pushing him roughly to the ground, that movement of him stradling him, pinning one of his arms down, the other wrapped about his neck, his nails digging slightly in the immaculate pale flesh. That smirk he wore through this all, not once did the emotions etched upon his features alter one bit this whole little thing that was currently happening. This thing currently happening that seemed to have been of Xotaez' sparking, from Xotaez' poking and proding it seemed. Which made it even better, having him caused such a thing, added to the excitement, to the enjoyment of it all, to the adhrenline rush, all that great stuff.

All that great stuff indead. Did he want to be playing such a dangerous game? Did he want to be treading such a thin line, walking upon such thin ice, just threatening to break, to fall through and collapse on him, to bury him in it's rage and rebellious nature, all that jazz that came along with danger. In truth he did, there was no doubt about it that he was one to lean towards the dangerous side of things anyways, he liked it dangerous, he liked it not knowing what was happening, not knowing if you'd even get through any of it alive, or unharmed. But he was immortal now, he wasn't just a regular old guy off the streets, so he had nothing more to worry about now it seemed. Wouldn't that be right? Wouldn't the fun be gone if he had lost almost everything he'd had to hold onto before? You'd think so at least but even if it wasn't as dangerous it was still just as enjoyable that was for sure, just as pleasureable and fun, at least in Xo's eyes, however twisted, corrupted and skewed his vision might be.

His smirk had flickered, just briefly faltering only to make way for a chuckling grin, giving a light rise and fall of his shouldars as if saying he either wasn't sure or didn't care. He'd smirked again though, lifting his head as much as he could with Brye holding him down, snapping open and closed his jaws. Nipping other's noses now was he? What a strange one indead. It definatly wasn't hard, nothing to harm Brye much at all, more like a puppy. A puppy playing, play fighting, when it bites but doesn't really do much harm, doesn't on purpose, just the little nip and shock of the nip then it was gone. Then he was relaxed again, that smirk returned to it's normal place upon his features. What was he thinking? It was as if he had no agenda at all, no common sense or proper thought. Perhaps he didn't, or perhaps he did just known only to himself. Although at the moment it seems as if he has none, as if he knows no better. Perhaps he doesn't.

This was nice. In some odd twisted sick minded way it was. He couldn't help himself thinking so, it just happened. And he still hadn't answered Brye's question really, besides for his little nip which would've been enough in his eyes. Seeming he was seeing how far he could push it, see what would happen if he did this, what it'd get him perhaps. Experimenting and testing, like a little child only without all that naive innocence. "I believe I am..It's never stopped me before, dangerous games an' what not..In fact I tend to lean towards them anyways, way more fun" He chuckled, as if it was just one big inside joke. One big pun, one big stand up comedy life was. "But are you so sure?" His eyebrows had risen now, staring up at Brye, that unmoving smirk still there, that look of complete calm and confidence. That look of one who knows he's beautiful, one who thinks he's the best, completly arogant and concited he could be at times. Although mindless and a big clown too, what a nice little gumbo of emotions he was.

Brye - December 24, 2003 07:46 AM (GMT)
He drew back slightly as a reaction to the nip, his lips twisting into what could barely be defined as a smile. That indifferent boldness irked him just a bit, and he wanted to break it.

Brye bent down towards him, murmuring a whisper to his ear, "I wouldn't have asked if I hadn't been sure..." He traced his lips down to the crook of his neck... his teeth teasing, before clamping down. Hard. His fangs piercing into that lovely paleness of his flesh, tearing, the blood issuing forth into his mouth. He didn't know how much he took, but he did let go eventually.

"Lovely. Just as I thought." The blood was little more than tasteless to him, but that fleeting moment of dominance was just enough to satisfy him.

Brye let go of his hold, and stood up.

"Your neck looks a mess, but nothing you can't heal... I assume."
