Title: Torment
Description: ...Don't get stuck at the movies..^^

Cimmerian - October 23, 2003 11:58 PM (GMT)
Light gray eyes boredly traveled over the large screen. The owner sat in the farthest row from the screen, snuggled in the darkness. Outside the sky was finally beginning to darken. His age to anyone that looked was undeterminably, perhaps an elder teen, perhaps older or younger. At times mortals mistook him for a mere boy or other times elder, never close to the truth though. His pallid skin seemed to have become slightly transparent.

He had actually been there since dawn. He hadn’t been keeping track of the time as usual and not to mention had gotten slightly lost. (The fact that he didn’t wear a wristwatch did not help the situation.) The only option Cimmerian had had was to head into the nearby cinema and stick it out until sunset. Of course he had spent most of the long hours in a cautious sleep. Every two hours he rose and carefully hid among the shadows as to not be noticed by the cleaning crew after each showing.

By now the bottom of his boots would stick rather unpleasantly with each step he took. He felt unusual murderous urges to throttle the mortals who had spent their entire time talking and commenting throughout the entire flick. His pale almost silvery hair was on the untidy side. His black hooded t-shirt and baggy pants had the appearance of being slept in which they had been. There was a buttery patch on one of his pant legs thanks to a lovely little child who had run up and down the aisles and at one point had joined him to 'share' his popcorn. The movie was now engraved in his brain. He now counted down the minutes to sunset in which he would be free from what had now become torture. Even a fantastic film could be watched to point where it drove the viewer insane. The previews before the actual show were the true torture. The catchy themes of pop sodas and snacks could stick in a person’s mind for indefinite periods of time.

Cimmerian tried to calm himself by using the fact this was the last repetition he would have to sit through. He swore to himself that after this he would never enter a forsaken theater again. Absent-mindedly played with one of the chains on his wrists.

Teran - October 24, 2003 08:28 PM (GMT)

"Bon nuit, mon chère, est-ce que tu es perdu dans ses pensées?" A smooth, soft voice cut through the silence, the gentle footfalls denoting Téran's arrival. In the near-darkness he seemed to blend in perfectly, a long overcoat sweeping softly with a muffled 'whoosh' across a carpeted isle. Hands tucked away comfortably into deep pockets, to ward off the coldness of oncoming night, he looked.. human. Nearly human; there hovered an odd aura about him, fluttering in and out of perception.
"Ah, c'est un film intéressant." A nod to the expansive, flickering screen before them, cool gaze flicking to the odd person glancing back at the intruder, breaking a holy silence of the theatre. Taking a seat directly beside Cimmerian he took no notice of the curious stares now directed towards him. Of course he could have just as easily controlled them, weak-minded ants, but why bother? It was no fun being a vampire if everyone ignored you..

Seth - October 25, 2003 02:19 AM (GMT)
A tall, lightly complexed, and very bored man entered the room. He thougt being a vampire meant living it easy. He had already fed for the night and needed to do something with himself. He pushed back his short dark hair from his eyes. They were so dark it was hard to see where the pupil ended. He smiled and walked in with sure steps. A long dark trenchcoat trailed behind him. He caught a sight of a cross in the corner and went crazy. He let out a cat-like hiss and lunged at tearing it to shreds with his remaining strength. He turned to face the other people in the room. He smiled and said

"Sorry, the recent acts by the Catholic church have disgusted me."

Cimmerian - October 25, 2003 06:02 AM (GMT)
Cimmerian cautiously watched his new companion out the corner of his gray eyes. The chain was left alone; it listlessly fell silent.

Over the years he had expanded his knowledge. Why? Perhaps as something to fill the long years. After all there was much to learn. As a mortal he had received no education whatsoever. French had been the only language Cimmerian had attempted besides learning a few phrases in Japanese. Though he could never find himself able to form sentences from the words and verbs that had been in the various books he had come across, he did have the ability to comprehend the language when others spoke it.

Nervously the black boots shuffled, the owner was not used too much attention. And the looks from the various theater-goers bothered him even if their gaze was directed the person in the seat adjacent to him. A very faint blush traveled across his cheeks. Then again he felt a small satisfaction that the mortals were finally getting some of their own treatment.

In a hesitant voice he replied quietly, “Yes, I suppose I have been slightly lost in thought...” He glanced at the screen for a moment. “Though the film is not as entertaining as it might appear.”

Teran - October 25, 2003 06:03 PM (GMT)

The genial smile creasing at the corners of his lips broadened slightly as Cimmerian spoke, eyes tilted slightly as to catch glimpses of both the movie and the other. "Oui, c'est un film ennuyeux.. mais.." The sentence was somewhat abruptly cut off as from a corner of the vast theater pieces of material fluttered past. Raising a brow at the man's actions, which obviously denoted a fledgling, Téran shrugged, as though tearing up signs of the cross were no more abnormal than brushing one's teeth.

"Mmph.. kindly do stop staring, m'dear, the movie is much more fascinating." Looking kindly upon an old lady he flexed his hands in an almost catlike manner, nodding lightly as she followed his orders and placidly averted her gaze. "You know, the staring is most -awfully- unsettling. Anyways, as I was saying, these movies made by mortals.. they're not quite entertaining." Of French descent the language came naturally to him, though it was not often spoken in the place of more popular English.

Shifting slightly in his seat a red cross emblazoned across his shirt came to be revealed, though he made no move to cover it. It was an odd affair, for while most crosses were angular, this one curved oddly and appeared as though to be writing on the thin fabric of his shirt. "Hmm.. so many.. people in here." A light laugh did not entirely mask the hunger in his voice. An invitation to join him.. perhaps?

Seth - October 25, 2003 07:58 PM (GMT)
Seth was obviously restraining. Teeth clenched he began to crack his knuckles, he had come in here because he sensed the other vampires and was looking for some fun. He knew he would have to do something soon, he was losing hsi peripheral vision and his legs were feeling like jelly. He calmly walked over to Teran and reached out for the cross. He didn't have much time. His hand extended...

Teran - October 25, 2003 08:06 PM (GMT)
The cool gaze travelled from Cimmerian to Seth, a smile complimenting the cold glint in his eyes. "Good evening. Might I suggest that you kindly retrieve your hand?" A hypnotic suggestion, naturally, made with the pleasant-sounding words. He still sat quite comfortably, and even chuckled lightly as though the Ishak were far beneath him to waste time or effort.

Seth - October 25, 2003 08:12 PM (GMT)
A Silent struggle went on through his head. Normally, this command would have been nothing but with the cross there he knew he was too weak to stay. He grabbed the cross and misted through Teran's body. On the other side he stopped and with his last bit of strength he crushed the cross into several pieces. With a sigh of relief he stood up and said quietly.

"Your mesmer going to have to be quite a bit stronger if its going to work on a vampire. You Nepphim should never have left the shadows."

His smile stopped and with a final push of his hair he turned and sat down.

Teran - October 25, 2003 08:19 PM (GMT)
With a flick of his fingers the crushed pieces of Téran's cross drifted back into his hand. "Oh my.. look, you've broken my favorite toy." The smiling lips formed a childish pout, eyes downcast with disappointment. "Now that was very rude of you.." Admonishing the other vampire with a slight wag of the fingers he sighed, slim shoulders heaving gently. "It can be fixed... I wouldn't sit too comfortably if I were you, Ishak."

He spat the name as one would something foul and wicked, gaze still on the cross, writhing in his palm. The pieces extended what seemed to be tentacles, reaching for the other broken pieces. The shadows.. what right had this creature to speak of such things?

Seth - October 25, 2003 08:28 PM (GMT)
He put his legs on the chair next to him.

"I'm can't be frightened by such a pathetic leech. Your feeble mind games won't work with me. You probably won't last in here to long, after this movie the lights will come on. Pity I was hoping for some fun."

He smiled, "you see the problem with the Nephim is, the only thing they can really do is play their mind games. They will not work on me.

He flew out of his seat and landed on the ground. "You think I'm inferior, I can see it in your eyes. You've got your priorities all wrong. Your a leech who doesn't deserve to be called a vampire."

Teran - October 25, 2003 08:35 PM (GMT)
"As opposed to you, then, weakling, who cannot even bear the sight of a cross?" Chuckling somewhat wickedly he dangled the cross, whole again, by its golden chain, still writhing in its stat of unnatural being. This he then pressed to his chest, so that the object melded with his body; a scarlet symbol glowing faintly in the reflexive glow of the screen.

"You Ishak are the true leeches. You cannot even go three days without feeding.. you're all dependent on those filthy humans." Smirking lightly he blended with the shadows, so that only a floating cross remained in the air.

Seth - October 25, 2003 08:48 PM (GMT)
He smirked,

"Oh yes, keep telling yourselves that. You can't even come up with your own insult. Thats not even a real cross, I'll tell you what that is, it's two pieces of wood crossed. We're not dependent on humans like you, we can drink from other vampires. You can't even walk outside daylight without destruction. For most of the day your on pause, in a coma, so vunerable."

His smile ended, he began levitating off the floor.

"Well, mosquito-boy, come get me"

Teran - October 25, 2003 08:56 PM (GMT)
"And leeches are the most original things in the world." The scornful reply came, from a vague place near Seth. "We may partake of the blood of other vampires, you dolt, though I doubt any would cast their sights on yours." Superhuman speed- the gift bestowed upon all Nephim was a very good asset. It seemed that each word originated from a different spot in the room, always changing so that pinpointing Téran would be quite difficult.

"I have no wish to fight with you. Va te faire enculer!" The last insult, in his native language, drew a few giggles from the humans that understood, most however averting their gazes.

Seth - October 25, 2003 09:08 PM (GMT)
He sighs, becoming very bored with Teran's speed he sat down. He begins watching the movie. He decides that the movie was not only more amusing but a bigger threat than the words. He begins wondering why is he here, he decides that if something eventful doesn't happen soon he'll leave. "Really, Nephim I was hoping for more, it is about as intimidating as a mob of humans , I hope this isn't your best." He glances around, catches a glimpse of Teran and waits.

Teran - October 25, 2003 09:13 PM (GMT)
"Mmn.. really, to tell the truth, I'd much rather be feeding than bickering with you Ishak. There's no point.. and would you have us start an inter-coven war?" Téran shrugged listlessly, seating himself somewhere, arms crossed over his chest. More staring at his words; they could not have been seriously uttered.. coven, vampires.. things of lore and legend. They couldn't be real...

Seth - October 25, 2003 09:20 PM (GMT)
" As you wish, If I may remind you, you started the insulting." He continued speaking as if nothing was wrong. "I myself am begginning to get hungry, do you know any good places to feed, most of the humans cleared out when I began to float and when you started running." He smiled and looked around for Teran.

Teran - October 25, 2003 09:25 PM (GMT)
"Heh.. well you have a point Ishak." He sped to a seat near Seth, glancing critically at the few remaining mortals in the theater. "It's been almost a week since my last good meal." A few more people began sneaking out, only to reach doors that swung shut with a loud bang in their faces.

"I don't see anything wrong with those still left in here..." Giving a slightly cruel laugh he turned to the nearest victim, a young man pulling frantically at the gilded handles. "Come." Imperious, yet not without effect, for the man's eyes glazed and he stumbled towards them. Yes, the Command was ever-so-handy.

Seth - October 25, 2003 09:28 PM (GMT)
"I do agree having a little mesmerism would be helpful." He took off his trenchcoat and carefully tossed it over his chair. He misted and was suddenly in front of a woman trying to hide under a chair. He picked up the woman and lifted her above the chair, he visciously bit her neck and gulped the flowing blood.

((srry, i g2g, l8ter))

Teran - October 25, 2003 09:38 PM (GMT)
{ Alright, later. }

"And Misting.. quite useful as well." Cradling the pliant body in his arms Téran gave a small smile, leaning down to embrace his victim. The spell lifted, his prey began squirming, realization striking fear into his mortal mind. "Shush, child.." A tiny bite at the proffered neck drew beads of blood, tenderly licked away and savoured.

The warmth flowing through him was painful, yet pleasurable at the same time. Sinking his ivory fangs deeper into flesh Téran was rewarded with the gush of yet more blood, suckling hungrily as a child would at its mother's breast. The youth gave a small moan: confusion, fear, anger clouded by the veil of satisfaction, and he clung to Téran, body arching with spasms before collapsing again, limp.

Cimmerian - October 25, 2003 11:08 PM (GMT)
((OOC: -___- Oro, I sure have missed a lot...Er...Let's just say that Cimmerian watched the whole episode silently?...))

Cimmerian watched the two feast upon the remaining mortals. How ironic the movie could continue to play as if what lay happening before it did not matter. Within he could fill his own hunger building, being an Enashe had its faults and this was the one he disliked the most. Feeding daily was troublesome. He smoothly rose and his eyes traveled across the rows of seats, searching for a suitable meal.

The eyes located a man in his late twenties frozen in his spot near the front. The individual stared with disbelief at the scene all around him. The color had drained from his face. One hand clenched tightly to the back of the chair in front of him to support his failing legs.

Swifty, faster then rationally possible, Cimmerian was at his side. He smiled sadly at the once content theater visitor. The man sputtered nonsense out in shock about trying to find a way to escape, momentarily thinking that the person beside him was human. The motal’s eyes widened as Cimmerian’s fangs descended.

He caught the man as finally everything became too much for his mind to stand and he collapsed. Gently he lifted up the fainted man’s head and tilted to the side to supply a good view of his neck. His fangs buried into the flesh of the man, who struggled in his unconsciousness for a moment and slipped off deeper into the haze of sweet oblivion.

Teran - October 26, 2003 12:46 AM (GMT)
{ Aww.. *hugs* ^_^ Sorry for leaving poor Cimmerian out for so long.. let's just assume he watched and was amused. :) }

The first victim disposed off carelessly, dumped onto the floor, Téran seeked out another human; a girl. She stared incomprehensibly at him, eyes wide with shock and disbelief, before making a frantic dash towards the still-closed doors. To no avail did she claw at the hard, unforgiving wood, splinters biting into her soft flesh. Téran was on her in a flash, moving with the speed characteristic of his coven, his fingers sinking into her back once, withdrawn smeared with blood.

He ignored the choking cries of pain as the figure writhed beneath him in spasms of agony, licking delicately at each blood-stained digit. "Umm.." The satisfied sigh announced that he was, at least, partially full and had no need to kill any more. There remained four or five humans still, crouching by one corner, some moaning in fear and others praying to their gods.

"Let your God save you now, fools."

Seth - October 26, 2003 01:20 AM (GMT)
Seth finishes kicking the ass of most of the mortals. He squeezes the life out a large and obese man.

"These filthy maggots are too damn fatty, their blood is making me fat, who would be scared of an overweight vampire?"

He pushes back his hair,

"Oh well, gotta fly, literally, later.

He kicks open the door and breaks a window and jumps into the night.

Cimmerian - October 26, 2003 05:02 AM (GMT)
Cimmerian set the limp man onto the chair. The mortal's body slumped forward but did not fall off it to the popcorn-scattered floor. He then turned, witnessing the Ishak's abrupt departure. Already his face was becoming less pale, more flesh toned. A few strands of silver blond hair hung in front of his face. With the back of his hand he wiped his mouth, by this time his fangs had retracted.

His ashen eyes watched as the remaining humans took advantage of the now opened door. A mother scooped up her child and rushed through the door. The youth’s tears muffled by the mother’s chest. Cimmerian gave a soft sigh and tucked the loose strands back behind his ears.

How long had it been since his brother had been such a boy? He closed his eyes, the faded image of a smiling young boy floated through his mind, bright blue eyes, and the same hair as himself. And then…the terrified face of the same child contorted by fear and confusion. Cimmerian winced, and his eyes flew open.

Teran - October 26, 2003 10:35 PM (GMT)
"Is something the matter?" A hand descended onto his shoulder, gently, the Nephim having finished feeding, yet retaining the same pallor. He had seen the wince overtake Cimmerian's face, and more curious than worried utilized his speed to make his way over.

The terror of humans pleased him, though he now had to wipe their minds blank of the evening's events. A hassle, but to have killed them was to waste food.. potential food for the future. After all, Téran was not a barbarian. Merely a vampire.

Cimmerian - October 27, 2003 12:30 AM (GMT)
An urge to pull away from the hand filled him for a moment. Contact was something Cimmerian was unused to, for him it was an act to be avoided. He shook his head, partly to completely clear the haunting image from his mind. Several more strands lost hold of their place behind his ears and joined the others in his face. His gazed focused past the silvery tendrils hanging in front of them and onto the floor.

“No, nothing at all.” He replied in a slightly stiff voice.
