Title: Ghost
Mathius Black - June 24, 2005 03:11 AM (GMT)
Mathius stared into the stars deeply, his feet planted firmly on the ledge of the cliff. Any one-lookers would believe him to be suicidal, between his wild, teenage hair, icey eyes and how he was standing on the edge, just inches from a long drop.
Death did not scare Mathius, probably because he was immortal, but also because death seemed to him to be just another adventure, it's end just around the corner, like a mystery dying to be solved.
Like a ghost, his medieval like clothes billowed in the wind, his blue hair no longer in it's ponytail, but let out to blow back in the wind, his blue cold eyes set straight at the moon and stars above.
A necklace with a balled chain lay around his neck, a golden gondola at the end of it, glowing faintly beneath the stars in the sky. The blue wings tattooed on the back of his neck almost seemed to glow faintly, like a neon blue light..
Though Mathius was a vampire, he was not immortal, not really, for his soul was not: his soul was just a ghost of his former self: a shadow of what he had become...
Indigo Fairen - June 25, 2005 01:44 AM (GMT)
Indigo walked along quietly. She didn't know why she had come out here. She just needed to escape. The bustling mortals were making her miserable this evening. She was in one of her moods. One of her moods where she kept thinking about times past. It was when her heart ached and she felt miserable. So she'd left the city, to get away for a few hours of aimless wandering. That's really all she did anymore, wander aimlessly through the ages, never changing. Not changing sometimes bothered her more than the thought of growing old. She shook the thought off as she walked.
Suddenly, she saw a figure up ahead. She crept forward silently until she was a few yards away. She recognized the figure and walked closer. It was Mathius. She stopped next to him. "Fancy seeing you here," she said softly.
Mathius Black - June 25, 2005 02:53 PM (GMT)
"Hey, we've all gotta get out sometimes." he sighed quietly.
Aracind - June 25, 2005 05:37 PM (GMT)
A figure moved from behind, and there standing by a tree with his arms folded over his chest, was Aracind.
"Boy's will be Boy's" He chuckled, his suit now tattered and blood drenched instead of the clean and smart appearance that he once donned. Aracind sauntered forward towards Indigo, and danced as if he had an invisible partner.
"Dancing, IT TRULY IS AMAZING,” He laughed manically again. He had chosen the two vampires to be the first to witness him since he had come out of hiding because he knew that there where some that wanted him dead.
"Children! Let the wind take your minds and sooth your souls" He smiled baring his fangs.
Mathius Black - June 25, 2005 06:05 PM (GMT)
"Ah, the forever interesting Aracind Leopard." Mathius smirked.
"What brings you to such pitiful, mortal land?"
Aracind - June 25, 2005 06:42 PM (GMT)
His reputation had been put forward this time.
"I have returned to this nation of mortals... from my hiding, as I needed some fresh air" He smiled. Returning was not so bad, he enjoyed it. But there was no question about it... Aracind had gone insane since the mansion incident, and the creature that pursued him had engulfed the character that was once Aracind and he was now a broken insane madman.
"Don’t jump now... You might get hurt" He raised his head back and cackled.
Mathius Black - June 25, 2005 07:46 PM (GMT)
"Ya think?" he asked sarcasticly, leaping backwards into the air and backflipping over both Indigo and Aracind.
"But what are you really doing back here?"
Indigo Fairen - June 25, 2005 09:01 PM (GMT)
Indigo looked at the strange man who had joined them. "I'm not sure I've had the pleasure of meeting you," she said, trying to smile. "I'm Indigo..." She offered him a hand shyly for a shake and looked back at Matius for a moment, rolling her eyes at his backflip. "And how do you know each other?"
Mathius Black - June 25, 2005 09:05 PM (GMT)
"We don't know one another, not to my knowledge at least." Mathius shook his head, "But people around here give him a pretty good description: the vampiric mad-man."
Aracind - June 25, 2005 10:10 PM (GMT)
Aracind swooped down and bowed. "Aracind Leopard... at no one's service" He spoke gallantly.
He touched Indigo's hand and kissed it "L'Une Chante" Aracind smiled.
He turned around to Mathius. "Your cheap little acrobatics will do you no good here, your winning no ones esteem, I have returned to face up to people, and live the life that the creature within needs to live"
He grinned, donning his fangs once again.
Mathius Black - June 25, 2005 10:11 PM (GMT)
"Believe me, I didn't do it to impress you, I did it so that I wouldn't get pushed off of a cliff by a mad-man."
Aracind - June 25, 2005 10:15 PM (GMT)
Aracind turned and looked around.
"But I see no mad men here my friend, only you, I and the girl here" He cackled. Turning around with his back to them he approached the tree where he once had stood.
"Do you wish for death Mathius?" He spoke as he walked. "For I’m sure that the demon's in hell will welcome you with open arms" He stopped and turned around. "I've seen them you know" He immediately rose into flight and remained hovering above them both.
"Let the waters run with blood, and the sky's fall with mortal corpses" He chuckled.
Mathius Black - June 25, 2005 10:16 PM (GMT)
"I will pass on that rubbish. I'm barely a vampire anymore. Hell is not my place..."
Aracind - June 25, 2005 10:22 PM (GMT)
((Seriously dude... try and write more lol, i need something to work with))
Mathius Black - June 25, 2005 10:23 PM (GMT)
((sorry, i haven't been in an rping mood lately. my thought process is like at a zero...))
Indigo Fairen - June 26, 2005 05:24 PM (GMT)
((*hugs Mathy*))
Indigo gazed up at Aracind, awed and shocked. "What do you mean, about the blood and the corpses?" She shuddered lightly. No matter what she was, she still disliked killing, disliked the blood that gave her life everynight. She was torn, what little human there was left pitied the mortals and their death, but her vampire nature revelled in the hunt and kill.
Aracind - June 26, 2005 07:50 PM (GMT)
Aracind fell down slowly and landed at the feet of Indigo, his eyes pierced into her soul.
"Killing is a necessary cause child, you will soon come to terms with it" He touched her head and immediately stopped himself by removing his hand. Such times had gone and he now had no emotional thoughts, only that of anger and insanity.
"The kill must be savoured, as it is a gift,” He recited. "We are the predators, and we must hunt for our survival, we are the walking Gods... and as he in heaven who kills those on earth, we must also fill his title in the material realm" Aracind spoke of God which he had rarely done in the past, Aracind had despised any sort of religion as it only tore people apart... but he had changed, he had lost all thought and state of mind.
"Kill one now... and enjoy it" He commanded and threw a glance at Mathius who had said nothing but single sentences for the past few minutes.
Mathius Black - June 27, 2005 02:47 AM (GMT)
"I have killed enough, believe me, and never for blood-lust..." he frowned deeply. "Killing for lira is bad enough. Being a vampire is a curse, not a privilege: I did NOT ask for this..."
Indigo Fairen - June 27, 2005 03:17 AM (GMT)
“Gods of what?” Indigo asked, gazing at Aracind. “We do nothing, we create nothing. Nothing but death and loss. What of all the families who’s children will never come home to them, because of us?” She nodded in agreement with Matius’s comment and looked away, trying to keep her voice even. “And if we are gods, why are we treated like demons? Why are we forced to hide away in the dark?” She turned her gray eyes on him, waiting for his reply.
Barnabas Collins - June 27, 2005 03:33 PM (GMT)
Barnabas was walking alone on the hunt when he heard voices. It was two male voices and a third female voice. The female voice sounded fimiliar.
As he approached the voices, he noticed that the female was his new frind Indigo.
"Hello Indigo. How are you? I'm Barnabas, we met the other night at the mansion. I was hoping to see you again. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting the other two gentleman."
"I'm Barnabas Collins. I just recently arrived and I'm still learning my way around."
Barnabas offered his hand to the two gentleman in friendship. He hoped that he wasn't intruding on a private conversation.
Aracind - June 27, 2005 04:10 PM (GMT)
Aracind immediately moved forward, grabbed the mans hand and span around his body moving from the hand upwards, before flying up into the air and descending in front of the vampire again.
"My my, isn’t this some gathering... Aracind Leopard... attorney at law" He cackled and shook the mans hand firmly almost tearing it out of its socket.
He immediately gave a harsh glare back to the other two.
"Say hello now children, we wouldn’t want to be..." He turned back to Barnabus "Impolite" He grinned and winked.
Mathius Black - June 27, 2005 04:51 PM (GMT)
"Mathius Blackwell, nine-hundred-year-old minor." Mathius grinned, shaking Barnabas's hand.
He turned back to face Aracind and said, "Now that introductions are over, what do you want from us? We certainly wouldn't make good minions..."
Aracind - June 27, 2005 06:11 PM (GMT)
Aracind grinned, still looking at Barnabus as he spoke to Mathius.
"Mathius I don’t like your tone of voice" His tone went up slightly at the end of his sentence as if he where singing it. "Tell your friend its time to go away" He smirked and turned around to look Indigo.
"Look at me Indigo, look into my eyes and see where you must lie" His expressions where now fixed as he gazed into the girls soul.
Mathius Black - June 27, 2005 06:18 PM (GMT)
"You're not going to want to do that..." Mathius frowned, pulling two daggers from his belt.
Aracind - June 27, 2005 06:55 PM (GMT)
Aracind broke his concentration. He turned and looked at Mathius, his face this time was stern and his voice was no longer curious instead he had a violent tone and his vampiric voice was released.
"YOU WOULD TOUCH ME BOY! YOU WOULD HARM ME WHEN YOU YOURSELF ARE A SINNER, YOU WOULD SIN AGAIN FOR THE FATE OF THIS GIRL, PUT THEM DOWN NOW"
He waved his hand and the daggers fell. "You cannot kill me boy, and you know it so" His nails grew in length suddenly and he turned back and stared at the girl once more.
Mathius Black - June 27, 2005 08:42 PM (GMT)
"I can kill you and we both know it. I would die myself, but I could do it, you ruthless bastard..." he moved one hand and both of the daggers took their places back in his hands.
Aracind - June 27, 2005 08:52 PM (GMT)
He released the girl from his attempted mental lock, and turned his attention to Mathius. His patient had reached his limit, he rose into the air and landed slowly behind Mathius and whispered to him.
"Age means nothing my son, only what you do with that time" He touched his shoulder with one of the long nails, it was clear and beautiful. But deadly indeed.
Mathius Black - June 27, 2005 09:00 PM (GMT)
"If I am to die," he began, looking down at his shoulder, "So will you. My time will not be spent murdering the innocent, only the foul and disgusting..." he too raised a hand and placed it firmly against Aracind's neck, reaching for the energy and drawing it away from Aracind.
Aracind - June 27, 2005 09:09 PM (GMT)
Aracind laughed and stood firm. "Kill me then, what good will it do? Will it stop the FIEND who is killing the innocent population? No, for the population IS NOT INNOCENT, they deserve to be killed, to be delivered for what they have done... Men are evil, not evil itself"
Aracind winked at Mathius.
Mathius Black - June 27, 2005 09:12 PM (GMT)
"I don't give a shit if a fiend kills them. I will not have been th muderer and Indigo will not be killed by the likes of you..." he stood firm and continued to concentrate on draining the power from Aracind.
Aracind - June 27, 2005 09:16 PM (GMT)
Aracind pierced his eyes into Mathius.
"A psychic vampire" He sounded surprised "My goodness, I have not come across one of your kind for some time, but unfortunately as I share similar roots to you, it has no effect on me"
Aracind adjusted his tie for a moment and slicked his hair back and moved over to Indigo. "This girl? Why on earth would I kill her?" Immediately Aracind span around the girl and put one of the long nails close to her throat. "Move boy, even a moment and ill kill her, and I can sense if your about to move so don’t even try it" He glanced at Barabus who remained motionless.
"Make yourself useful" Aracind spat out at him.
Indigo Fairen - June 28, 2005 03:06 AM (GMT)
Indigo gazed into Aracind's eyes and suddenly found she couldn't look away. Her trance was suddenly broken as Mathius pulled out his daggers. She gasped and watched the two face off. She tried to protest, get them to leave each other be, but they either didn't hear her or they ignored her.
Before Indigo could do anything to defend herself, she found herself trapped by the stronger vampire, his sharp nail dangerously close to her throat. She glared out defiantly, and her breathing was forced and slow as she fought to stay calm. Indigo glanced at Barnabus for a moment before flicking her eyes to Mathius, giving him a pleading look. "Do what you have to," she mouthed softly.
((Gah, stupid family vacation, you guys post too much without me, i feel all left out!))
Mathius Black - June 28, 2005 03:22 AM (GMT)
((lol, sorry))
Mathius nodded at her softly, not wanting to really admit what he would have to do to save her, but he wasn't afraid of death... There were many things he was afraid of, but not death. Not to himself at least.
With a quick glance at his surroundings, he began to sink into the ground, disappearing all the way under before coming back up in between Indigo and Aracind.
Aracind's knife-like finger-nail slid across Mathius's throat as he brought one dagger through Aracind's front and one through his back.
Aracind - June 28, 2005 03:54 PM (GMT)
In the heat of the moment Aracind screamed out in rage and insane excitement
"THE THRILL OF THE BATTLE, HOW I HAVE MISSED IT" before being stabbed by Mathius. Aracind stood motionless for a moment, refusing to belive that another would touch him in this manner, he had not been touched or harmed like this in some time and it angered him so that one such has he would have the courage to do such an act.
Staggering back Aracind pulled the daggers out of his skin and after a moment or two it healed back to normal. Tossing the daggers up and down in his hands almost juggling with them Aracind laughed "You forget that I am a vampire such as you, and we all heal sooner or later, perhaps sooner than some" He immediately threw the blades from the cliff.
"And now you are weapon less" His gaze now turned to Indigo once again, "Come here child, do not be afraid, I mean you no harm" His eyes locked into her soul and he spoke in a soft tone before rising a hand to Mathius who has already gone on the approach. "Let us see if the knight in shining armour prevails in our little duel here shall we?" Immediately Aracind lunged forward with a nail towards Indigo and slashed at her throat creating a large gaping hole that sank down into her skin, blood pored out.
"YOU SEE?" Aracind laughed manically. "THE RIVERS RUN LIKE BLOOD!"
Mathius Black - June 28, 2005 04:33 PM (GMT)
"There's an interesting way that vampires die though." Mathius growled, "they become distracted and then someone stabs them through the heart. he raised a hand and a dager flew back into it before he stabbed Aracind straight throught the heart.
Indigo Fairen - June 28, 2005 08:21 PM (GMT)
"Mathius!" Indigo cried as he attacked. Her eyes sped from one to the other, praying they would stop. They locked eyes again, and she felt the slow, dreamlike trance return. But it was broken as he attacked. She gasped and put her hand to her throat, and a firey pain burned her neck. She felt the warm blood flowing down, staining her lowcut top. Indigo closed her eyes, focusing her energy on healing the gaping wound. Slowly, she felt it closing, but she'd lost a lot of blood. Perhaps too much. She was weak and would need to feed soon. she struggled to keep her balence and watched Mathius's and Aracind's struggle, trying to think of someway to help.
Aracind - July 5, 2005 10:48 AM (GMT)
Aracind stopped in his tracks and all thoughts and emotions stopped as he touched the dagger. Protruding through his body, he looked down and saw the blood pulsating out of his body.
"This had to come to an end now, we don’t want to die too soon" Aracind thought to himself.
Pulling the dagger from his back, Aracind turned to Mathius weakly. Blood flowed like a river down his flowing clothes.
"I am no Dracula Mathius, all fairytales" The blood continued to pulsate from him and Aracind turned and raised his hands in a farewell to the two as if he where leaving some friends. He then stumbled across the floor and fell downwards off the cliff.
Looking down one could see nothing now, no body, no vampire... no Aracind.
Indigo Fairen - July 6, 2005 01:26 AM (GMT)
Indigo gasped as the events unfolded, watching as a helpless spectator. She staggered to her feet and weaved her way to Mathius. "Are you ok?" she asked, feeling sick. She was weak and lightheaded. Her clothes were stained red with her own blood. The Thirst was raging inside her. "He, he...Oh, Mathius," she sighed heavily, "Is he gone now?"
Mathius Black - July 11, 2005 02:00 AM (GMT)
He simply nodded, coughing up a bit of his own blood. He went to his knees, his mouth slowly dripping with blood from where Aracind had slit his throat.
Indigo Fairen - July 11, 2005 02:08 AM (GMT)
She knelt next to him, putting one hand on his shoulder. Looking determinedly at her other hand, she held out her bare wrist to him. "Here," she said softly, "Drink..." She knew she didn't have much left, but a little blood was better than none. And it was better Mathius be strong incase that nutcase came back.
