Slowly the echos of hollowed footsteps marched through the maze like alley, lost in the shadows without a destination in mind a young man continued on his dual colored eyes locked on the nightsky. Behind him slowly crept a few stray mutts, no matter where ever he went there was always somekind of dog following him for only god knew why. Could be that these strays felt connected to him in both being homeless and lacking a purpose in life or perhaps they were drawn to him sensing the darker side of the young man. The part of him that had been taught the joys of killing and did so without a second thought, the side he had been working a burrying depth within himself during the last few years. Now if the young man only knew about the creatures that dwelled in this city that were far worst then his personal monster.

Sighing Ryley swung his duffel bag against the wall of some building near a dumpster and ploped on the ground beside it. Not too soon after this the two dogs that been following him plopped on the ground around Ryley, the tired street dweller only shook his head before pulling a pack of cigarettes from his jacket pocket. It loosely hung from his lips as his hands searched for a lighter while the dual colored eyes stayed on the dogs.

"Stupid mutts....dont you have homes to go to..."

Well if they did then you probably wouldnt call them strays and also they probably would be sleeping warmly in their homes not in the cold with him. Another sigh left Ryley's pale lips not finding his lighter anywhere on, leaning back against the wall alittle disgusted about not finding the lighter. His blue and green eyes locked on the moon just resting here for a moment before getting up and continuing his endless wandering.

After enduring a not-so-good time attempting to befriend a mortal, Malachai turned to the canine species for companionship. The dog was big and white, and that's all he knew. Its beautiful coat glistened wetly in the silvery light that shone down from the moon in the night sky.

Malachai chased it like it wanted him to, the dog sometimes peering over its quick shoulder to monitor the vampire. Dogs were more accepting than humans- he'd always known this. Much more fun, also.

Suddenly, there, in a dark part of the road, stood a man- no-a vampire- great.

Malachai wasn't looking forward to another hostile encounter. He thought to himself sadly that he never would know why things had to be so hard and serious all the time. He wouldn't bother with this one- for it could only lead to sorrow.

But in all his despair, his notorious curiosity plagued him. He composed himself and continued to follow his favorite dog- until it approached this dark figure, who suddenly shined in the light of the night.

Was this supposed to have happened? What was this person doing here in the middle of this early morning mist- in the middle of noplace particular?- in front of Malachai.

Ha hahah

Malachai didn't know for sure- but he knew what he needed to do at that moment. He reached into his jeans pocket and pulled out his ever-present ciggarette lighter, approached the lone fellow, and lit his ciggarette quick as a rabbit.
