At least with a box set, you don't have to worry about whether it's got a cardboard slipcase chachacha. tongue.gif

Id like to see it in a 'metal box' or a 'plastic box'-i know PiL have already done that but something real sweet rather than the usual which is like a book type arrangement?

but i suppose nice and basic and cost-effective would be the go eh?

With 6 discs, I imagine it will be literally a box. Can't see a book type thing working with more than 4 CDs.

Hmmm, now that's a good idea. Carry bag with the discs thrown in loose and a few crumpled up bits of old paper with the sleeve notes on them. laugh.gif

There's not been any talk of it being a limited edition, so don't worry about that Gaz.

Joy Div's Heart & Soul 4 disc set was very well packaged, how about something along those lines then?

Thank Christ for that...with the amount of Fall stuff on the market and the festive overeating and drinking to take into account, I think I'll be begging on the streets of Valencia come the new year...maybe doing acapello versions of My New House to attract the more sympathetic or curious bypassers.

The Fall are huge in Spanish speaking countries*. Especially South America. But I'm sure that applies to Spain too. So take a large tin cup with you Martin.

That format has been used very effectively by quite a few groups. But all with 4 CDs. How do you fit 6 CDs in that style of packaging?

Naaah, just do it simple, like the TS boxset, keep the price down.

Big pictures on the front of MES & JP both giving a 2 finger salute in black, white & orange. Mistitled "The Jon Peel Sessions...complete BBc reccordings", that's what I expect biggrin.gif

Hmm...three concerts in their career (something like this) would say different. You can buy some stuff in the biggest record store here (FNAC). From memory, the Rough Trade Singles Box; the reissued Dragnet; 2G+2; some other compilation )I can't remember which)...When they played in the festival in Barcelona everyone buggered off after 25 minutes as the Pixies were starting their set on another stage.

Any chance of using the lovely pic of Peel holding Hip Priest & Kamerads sleeve (see album poll), plus the famous shot of Peel with 1989-Fall at his birthday bash (reprinted in this month's Wire magazine)?

How about a limited edition faux bakelite radio packaging:

user posted image

with working dials and handle and The Fall logo molded into the casing inside which are the six discs and a 40 page booklet and sheet of stickers.

I would be willing to pay at least £20 for it, £30 if the radio actually worked.
