One of our Daves is missing... question is, are there any Daves who aren't suspected Fall fans to take his place... damn. sad.gif

We show that whether the short sighted phenotype will be an evolutionary stable strategy (and thus lead to the collapse of civilization) depends on the initial proportion of short sighted people relative to people with foresight as well as their relative discount rates. Further we explore some comparative static results that connect the probability of the game continuing and the relative size of the two discount rates to the likelihood that civilization will collapse.

It's a wonder that the assassination narrative outlined on 'Room to Live' never came true.

Even if it were any good, I probably wouldn't like it.

No, not a forum commoner, Dave Milner's followed Ben in quitting the band - http://www.visi.com/fall/news/fallnews.html

Saw the Fall twice with Dave drumming and he was just great at both gigs…he’s a real loss to the band.

If you read this Dave, good luck to you…

Not only was Dave a fantastic drummer but, if you look at the songwriting credits from ‘Susan Vs Youthclub’ onwards, you’ll see that he was no slouch in contributing material to the group either. In fact, with the loss of Dave, Ben and particularly with the earlier departure of Jim Watts, the Fall have lost all their principle music writers within a fairly short space of time.

I know this is not exactly unprecedented in Fall-world, but it is kind of worrying…hope Elini is busy penning new tunes as I write this and that whoever MES drafts in as replacements have a few good tunes between them…

Loss of another great guy. Thanks for having a personality and the willingness to share it with fans. Thanks for your talent and indefatigable desire to enhance the band. Thanks for not looking down your nose at us, but actively seeking us out for salutation.
Enjoyed the great on the road stories in the lengthy chat over drinks. I'm sure the wife will be happy to have you safe, sound, and the headache of touring over.

I am anticipating liberty any day now & wondered if I could offer my services. I have a crisp new look, having ditched the public Enemey Urban Commando stylee, now have a more conservative Geography Teacher look, which I think will appeal to many Fall fans.
I can play Kazoo, & have spent my time in detention well, I can play the Bass to Lucifer over Lancashire all the way through.
My only concern is that I may have to execute any dissent from other band members, but I am enrolled in anger management classes.

what is this "strange place" the fall is in anyway. A few years ago smith (jokingly?) said he was considering a 16 guitar line up. Who here asked for more guitars? well, buster look out. I mean, how strange can the fall get
