There's a guy called Stewart Walton exhibiting some of his side-of-stage sketches of live bands down in a bar close to my house (Revolver, George Street, Hastings), which includes one of The Fall at Reading Festival this year. Allegedly, these sketches are then signed by the band members, and print editions of 25 are subsequently made for sale (£50 unframed, £85 framed). I was a bit drunk (obviously) down there last night, and had some doubts about the veracity of all the Fall's autographs (that would only have been on the initial sketch, and reproduced on the prints) as MES' distinctive handwriting looked rather alien, but the names of the rest of the group were at least accurate (I believe). The artist has a website www.stewartwalton.com and a Myspace www.myspace.com/stewartwalton if you're interested. Anyhow, I did take a crappy photo with my phone, which may appear below:

nice idea. reminds me when i saw laurie anderson some years back and she announced midway through the concert that flash photography was not allowed but everyone was free to make drawings. then a couple of people handed out paper and pencils.
