Title: Mr Pharmicist vs. White Lightning

Two golden oldies, played at the gig in Rotterdam...those of you who can get to the gigs are sick of them. Which do you prefer?

I've never had a problem with Pharmacist... I'd rather hear F-oldin' Money than White Lightning... and I'd rather hear NWRA than any of the above...

"Mr. Pharmacist." Fits great into a great album...

Pharmacist every time.
Oh, tonights gig never featured it! They did play White Lightning though, and it went down really well.

white lightening rules its a great song

Two bottom-of-the-barrel numbers. Utter crap.

Prefer 'em to do WL live, although don't like the studio version much..it's got more oomph live - they sometimes speed it up a lot, or cut it really short - let the audience participate - it's more versatile live...altho Mr P gives the opportunity to go for a piss.

I think that Pharmacist is a classic Fall track. Overplayed, but classic. I don't think of WL as a Fall track at all. Overplayed.

I like both, but Mr. P wins in a head-to-head.

Mr P is the best esp the version on the 2G+2 album

That version of Mr P with the fiddles at the beginning on the 27 points album is fantastic. Agree thats these two have become auto-pilot "resting" songs for the band during gigs though.

Spot-on. The Fall's equivalent of 'Drum Solo' -_-

Voted for Pharm-assist.

But, really, both must die. Now.

ukslc - October 5, 2005 02:24 PM (GMT)
I assume we're talking prefrence at gigs...if so, I'm 50/50 so didn't vote.

The point, as far as I'm concerned, is that there are SO many other songs that would just make my day to hear live again, so let's hear some of them instead!...if I had to pick one....Container Drivers, or I'm into CB (damn that's two).

I know, I repeate myself - but "Leave The Capitol" would be very nice.
