I'm sure someone said it was on Football Focus, but it wasn't when I watched a couple of weeks ago. Was it a one off?
I think it's still the Final Score theme....

I know this is covered on the Skinner thread...
Jawbone and the air rifle played by The Skinnerettes as intro to guests on Frank Skinner show 29/9.
Also, F'oldin Money accompanied the 'goals of the week' montage on Soccer AM back when the single was released. 1999/2000?
Stephen - September 30, 2005 08:37 AM (GMT)
Some covered in
this thread.

Victoria was used in An Audience With Victoria Wood (not sure if that was the name of the show, but it was a prog documenting her career)

That was from 1988. Does that sound about right or was it more recent?
There's a list of her other programmes on the imdb
here.

No, this was more recent - it was on earlier this year... hearing The Fall was the highlight for me since I was only watching the show as the friend I was with is a massive Victoria Wood fan...
Country Folk - October 12, 2005 11:20 PM (GMT)
Checked IMDB - A BAFTA tribute is the one.
One of the songs on Unutterable (think it was WB) was used as background music for the trailers for a TV series called 2000 Acres Of Skye - this was a few months after Unutterable was released.
The Newsnight interview with MES must've used a brief clip of The Fall but can't remember which one (Totally Wired? Touch Sensitive?)
thefrenzexperiment - November 21, 2005 05:55 PM (GMT)
I've added Saturday's BBCi appearance of I Can Hear the Grass Grow.

Though I didn't see it myself, I am reliably informed the Fall's version of Victoria was also used on a short-lived chat show entitle Victoria; hosted by a Victoria Beckham, whoever she is. I believe it was on some 4 years ago on ITV.

I think maybe it was Victoria's Secrets on Sky One...?
Can anyone else verify this..?

I read about this in the liner notes to "50,000 Fall Fans...", but don't remember which scene it was. Where in the movie was it? (I may have to rent it out again just to hear it ^_^ )

I am pretty sure it was Victoria' Secrets on Channel 4 or Channel 5. Since I don't have satellite and I saw the programme at home and was delighted to hear The Fall, it would have been a minor miracle had my telly received Sky One that evening. :D
I am pretty sure it was remarked about on here at the time. I hope Stephen indexed it accordingly. :D

I think it was one of the scenes in "Buffalo Bill's" apartment. I watched it just the other week but totally forgot to listen out for it. I missed it somehow.

the denouement scene-in the basement when foster is trying to rescue the girl
Viv - November 22, 2005 12:05 PM (GMT)
There was a documentary about football hooligans on a couple of years ago which featured several PBL era tracks.
When American Football was popular for a few weeks I saw a preview show which featured a footballer having a fancy haircut with "Look Know" playing in the background.
Does "Hail The Classical", which was about Michael Clarke, count? Lots of Fall content on that.
There was a show featuring astrologer Russell Grant where a couple of guests walked on to "Two Librans".
I saw a documentary about cowboys and stuff and "Hands Up Billy" was played when Billy The Kid was getting arrested.
There was a programme about the Trans Siberian Railway and there was a distance shot of a loco with "Old White Train" playing in the background.
Sadly, I made the last three up.

Extensive and exhausting/exhaustive research has revealed it was indeed on Channel 4 in 2000.

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but whilst on holiday in the canaries this year I witnessed Bremen Nacht being used during a between programme link on BBC Prime.

January 1996, I think. Mark said a few words about John on the phone.
dannyno - November 22, 2005 06:27 PM (GMT)
Hey Student was used in a programme which had some reality-TV type house full of students. I don't remember, though, whether it was a series or a one-off edition of some other show which just used the house of students as an example of something or other.
I'm rubbish, sorry.
Ah, I'm remembering "the Clothes Show", for some reason.
[edit]- which seems to chime with mantpl's recollection.

chorley boy - November 25, 2005 04:43 PM (GMT)
The instrumental bit of "Crew Filth" that also features in "So What about it" was used as the intro music for 2 years of ITV's Champions League Special on Saturday lunchtimes.
Bremen Nacht was also used in a feature about Werder Bremen in the same programme.
Look, Know was used on C4 American football. (The haircut in question belonged to Seattle Seahawks' Brian Bosworth, incidentally.)
plastickman - December 3, 2005 07:45 PM (GMT)
I'm reliably informed by Mrs P'man that 'Ride Away' was used in a trailer last night for the forthcoming 'Take my Mother-in-law' series....she texted me at 8:08pm as I was round Dave's, initially informing me that the track in question was 'Pass th'fuckin'joint ' , which gave her an excuse to stick the cd in the player to check....after (probably) playing the album several times, she can now confirm that 'twas indeed track 1.......what larks, 'ey.
colinham - December 4, 2005 07:39 PM (GMT)
Look Know was used along time ago on the weekly channel 4 american football It was backing a profile of a player I think was named 'boz'. He had dyed his hair which appeared to be fairly exciting in the world of american football in those days.
