Title: Dress Code
Description: How you hanging?

Part Time Communist Worker - February 10, 2005 08:22 AM (GMT)
An age old question allegedly beloved of tailors -

(and I bet this bleedin' poll* doesn't work)

* although technically it's probably a survey

Oh dear god.

This means what I think it does?

I wonder if left- or right-handedness has anything to do with it.

I've been a righty as long as I can remember--long before handedness came into play.

But that doesn't mean that someone who, um, uses the other hand wouldn't, um, train it to go the other way.

snarfyguy - February 11, 2005 08:47 PM (GMT)
Tailor: How do you dress, sir?

James Bond (Sean Connery in Dr. No, if I recall): Away from the window.

Not really a very funny joke.

S5 not Manc - February 11, 2005 08:53 PM (GMT)
Always to the left, not a popular choice I see. I am actually intrigued by Rex's theory of what hand you write with, but I have a question regarding this, I am ambidextrus, so where would I fit in to all this?

Are you sure he was talking about writing? ...... :P

Ok you got me there.

Seriously though I am ambidextrous.

Or is that some sort of pun out of life of Brian, I don't remember that myself?

- how about the shower or grower poll next ;) :ohdear:

The Eccles Connection - February 11, 2005 09:37 PM (GMT)
Sorry its the way my weird brain works.......

It was your spelling of the word ambidextrous....because youl'd missed the "O" it made me think of Latin and Biggus Dickus in Life of Brian which tied in nicely with the "nob" theme of this thread.... :P

I asked my father about this when I was young, wearing something rather tight fitting and curious as to the protocol.

"Down and to the left" he told me.

I've always followed that sage advice. And I am a lefty, if that matters.

Oh, and of course I keep it well-tucked into my left sock.

Yeah, I've been thinking of working on some sort of suspender/garter system. God knows it gets out of hand and the slightest provocation.

Incidentally, any other fellas on here that think the male genetalia is a bad design flaw?

I mean, it's a fairly tender spot to be on the outside of one's body. So...exposed. Seems there should be some evolutionary natural codpiece...

And here I thought we already spent too much time jamming it into uncomfortable freedom-constricting undergarments all day.

I'll let Kramer speak for me:

JERRY: We have to do it. It's part of our lifestyle. It's like, uh.. shaving.

ELAINE: Oh, that is such bologna. I shave my legs.

KRAMER: (Making a point) Not everyday.

Maybe it's exposed nature is designed to be scary. If I was a roman soldier i'd find a bollock naked celtic warrior running at me screaming with a big sword and his tackle out far more scary than a bloke in armour.

That would depend on whether they were showers or growers. If i were a Celtic warrior commander I might be tempted to put my showers at the front and my growers at the back.

I've a suspicion that:

Showers are straight there IN YER FACE.

Growers take a while to arrive.

Or is it to do with circumsision?

God I'm confused!

strontium dawg - February 14, 2005 05:48 PM (GMT)
Showers use the showers.

Growers prefer a bath.

REX - February 14, 2005 05:50 PM (GMT)
Mmm, cold shower.

Cleric - February 19, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
Jeez, what a question. Bernard Sumner was asked this on Star Test, he said "both". This was a lie. I don't see two dicks coming from him! Peter Hook has an enormous tool, according to "Mrs Merton".

:( Neither do I. That's what I get for hanging around with the older boys.

To the left. No idea why. Possibly evolutionary reasons behind this.

Harumph.

It's a size thing. If you're a "shower," (that's show-er, not like that thing that rain does) your full extent is displayed when flaccid. If you're a "grower," then you look smaller until you're hard.
