Title: Northern Attitude
Description: Album reviews

My local CD store has a CD called Northern Attitude for A$10. It claims to be a mix of live recordings and alternate versions, including 1996 versions of Telephone Thing, The Man Whose Head Expanded, Psykick Dancehall (ESP Disco).
Are these actual rerecordings? Old versions released for the first time in 1996? Dodgy remixes by the record label? Also, do the live recordings overlap with those found on "The Idiot Joy Show"?

Any answers would be valued - I don't want to waste my $10!

Don't waste your $10 - it's basically a rehash of some of the tracks on Fiend with a Violin, Oswald Defence Lawyer and SInister Waltz - i.e. a complete ripoff : see here.

Thanks, you really deserve some kind of commission for spreading information and helping the market run more efficiently. That website is amazing, if such things are kept up the sheer volume of information will trick future generations into thinking the Fall were the biggest band in history.

I bet you own it, though, as I do.

I gave my copy away - I never listened to it

and I reckon that Edinburgh Man is the version from Shiftwork.
15 Ways live is worth buying though - you can never have enough Fall gigs

But of course :)

Mind you, I paid 99p on eBay for mine and still felt ripped off

You knew the versions without even a listen?
Talk about Pre-cog!

Come on Gaz, call yerself a Fall fan! You have to be able to identify the version of every Fall song from the first 5 seconds. Simple as that.
