Title: Spectre vs. Rector

usrlocal - October 1, 2004 02:31 PM (GMT)
I've been wanting to do this for a while. The Big Chief forced my hand. B)

The Rector is MR James, isn't it? Good writer.

REX - October 1, 2004 04:14 PM (GMT)
Is this a spiritual question? The ghost, the spirit, the deity versus the man who maintains the house of those who worship the ghost, the man who represents the worshippers, the Pope, etc?

I like the idea of spirits but not the religions that encompass them, so I voted spectre.

Joseph Holt - October 1, 2004 04:16 PM (GMT)
Doesn't one of the live versions (Aklam Hall?) include the line "The rector is dead on the floor"? Sounds like that to me.

usrlocal - October 1, 2004 08:32 PM (GMT)
Spectre is inching ahead.

Any of you who voted for Rector actually voted for Rector possessed by Spectre?

Just kurious..

It's a quote from Rex's post, third from the beginning of this thread. These spambots take a post from a thread, insert their links, and re-post it. So, it seems ontopic, but they're just ripping off someone else's words.

delmore - August 31, 2010 03:30 PM (GMT)
What a redundant question!

I hope Rex doesn't look here and see I said his post made only a kind of sense.

Sadly I don't think Rex is coming back. I wish I hadn't argued with him about the fact that The Monkees are as legit as any real band, now.

delmore - August 31, 2010 04:21 PM (GMT)
My, it's been a year. That's too bad, I liked his posts.

Surely something more than a Monkees controversy?

I don't know. Rex was one of my favorite people to talk to here, and he's missed. :(
