Title: early '90s / early '00s CDs
Description: looking to purchase

Aloysius - September 28, 2010 06:41 AM (GMT)
hello, i'm new to this forum. i had heard The Fall during the mid-80s and was drawn to it, sporadically as conditions warranted. a renewed interest began in '93 with "The Infotainment Scan" but i have yet to locate any early '90s ("Shift-Work," "Code: Selfish") CDs / LPs, or any from 1996 to 2005. i reside in Central New York State USA with a modest CD outlet at arm's length, and they are generally quite helpful in special-orders and so on, but said records remain elusive. if anyone has CDs / LPs 1990-92 and/or 1996-05 i would be most interested in purchasing.

The problem with these is, shiftwork and code:selfish were never released in US. if it makes u feel any better, they kinda suck. 97's levitate is out of print. Everything is available (except levitate) at insound.com if u don't wanna go the ebay route

Levitate and Marshall Suite are the two really difficult ones to get.
I've been a Fall fan for 5/6 years and I still don't have a proper copy of either (I have CD-Rs).
I've seen loads of both but always for a lot of money.
So if you can find either of those for a reasonable price, get them.
The others shouldn't be too difficult as has already been said.
Good luck!

and welcome.

Even the double CD of Levitate goes for £12 or less.
TMS is now regularly appearing on ebay for £25.
Only the vinyl goes for silly money.
Good luck!

The last one that went up on eBay was at £25 with two days left.
That's pretty common, despite what you seem to think. :(

Next time you see one that looks like it will sell for £12 (or thereabouts) - not one that *starts* at £12 - can you let me know, please?
Also, I can't pay be credit card, so that's another factor. I doubt I'll ever get a copy. :cry2:

£25 *is* silly money!
We're not all mega-rich, you know.

I won't get you to back up the statement regarding Shiftwork and Code:Selfish, but I feel it is misleading, and anyone who doesn't have those albums should not be discouraged from tracking them down.

Happy Searching
