I really enjoyed the thing in Huddersfield last year so I got a ticket for this.

Are people who attend these talks able to understand him live? Whenever I watch a video of them I have to play it back 4 times and even then miss part of what he's saying.

Weird, because the transcriptions are lucid as anything.

well did start a thread somewhere else, but still aching in abdominal region because of too much laughing...literally more laughs per minuet than most well know standups can manage, and thats not to say there wasn't the odd insight, but at the end of the day he wasn't giving out away...

I would have liked to have gone to this, but the tickets had already gone when I tried to get one. It sounds epic. Were people just asking questions and MES answering them? The upstairs part is not very big, so it must have been nice and intimate.

An enjoyable evening,with Mark sipping water and nicking a bit of Haslam's red wine.It was established that any fact that Haslam picked up from Renegade was in fact a fib by the ghostwriter;the current Fall members are better than previous members;the new lp is alright and MES gets brain compression when he is away from North Manchester rain for too long!Some good Gene Vincent over the PA in the interval as well.

I asked the final question of the night and, afterwards he came into the bar briefly and shook my hand!

He gave us a good ol' pub-man handshake and a wink before walking towards the wrong door and then off with Elena and presumably his mum.

He was lovely and friendly though!
