That I'm not sure about how to set up a multiple choice poll. I seem to recall that others have had problems with them in the past.

The main problem with multiple choice polls is this: Once you write all the entries in and then select how many choices can be made, if you preview the poll before posting it the whole thing is reset back to single-choice for some reason.
The other problem is that some people can't vote in them sometimes, but that's unavoidable it seems.

You can reset it, but yes it's almost inevitable that any multi-choice poll will go tits-up in some way.

That Evening Standard piece yesterday by Lucretia What's-her-name was hilarious. "I don't remember meeting Martin Amis or, for that matter, Anna Ford. I may have done, but if I did I'm afraid I don't recall the particular event. Having said that, it's quite possible that I did. There were a lot of people about in those days and one cannot be expected to remember them all."

And then at the end it said: "Lucretia What's-her-name is currently writing her memoirs."

Meanwhile I am troubled by the news that Cheryl Tweedy (as she now likes to be known) will be removing the tattoo from the back of her neck that says "Mrs Cole".

Not so hasty, madam! Not while there's still a chance of marrying George.

I've heard rumours. But so far there's been nothing in the papers.

What's bothering me is the book I'm reading is completely unputdownable, but as it's 750 pages, I'm worried about starving to death. It's a race against time.

It's going to be 816 pages when it comes out again in August.

Which is a bit of a worry, as the author has no idea where these other 60 pages have come from.

Large print version, for the ageing Indie constituency. Or maybe it could be re-printed in the Motorhead typeface?

Good news though - it's as good a book as No Direction Home is a documentary, with the whole context thing and that. And it's making me crave the Mary Chain again.

(Unfortunately I've had to eat the Prologue and the Acknowledgements)

I'm drinking too much coffee and was getting something similar to brain zaps last night. :o

My eyesight is deteriorating, more so in my right eye.
Got to see my diabetic specialist next week, though.

1. Max of the Pepsi nature...admittedly like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire, but variety is the spice of life.

2. If you've not yet got to the stage where you have laser eye surgery I wouldn't worry too much - I'm in for the third time in a week's time.

3. Imagine my surprise when I was looking through that site and found Morrissey also browsing it.

I'm going to get some Pepsi Max tomorrow.
Coffee takes too long to make, anyway.

I haven't had laser surgery yet. I'm assuming it'll be on the cards pretty soon.
This seems like a silly question, but can you walk home after you've had it done?
Walking around after I've had those drops in my eye after a check-up is hard enough.
Hope it goes okay, Graeme.

I wonder if that was the real fake Morrissey or just a common or garden fake Morrissey?
I found this complaint board saying the site is full of fake millioanires and spambots trying to steal our money. :o

GraemeLovesPinkLady - February 28, 2010 01:29 PM (GMT)
Yeah, it's fine - it's an operation on your eyes, not your legs.

On the other hand, last time, it was a really bright day and those eye drops make your eyes dilate, so my eyes were totally flooded with light...I bumped into a couple of people walking down Oxford Road to the tram stop. I guess they thought "typical Mancunian, pissed already and it's not gone midday yet".

The only bind thing - apart from going blind - is this dye they inject into you so they can do ultra detailed eye scans...you will not believe what it does to the colour of your urine. It's this 5cm square contraption with a needle in the end, and you have to have it inserted into you for the whole appointment. Usually I'm fine with needles, but I had a mini whitey in the waiting room looking at this thing hanging out of my arm.

I wouldn't bother with that rich man site - I've trawled it heavily, and not one person likes SK girlpop i.e. there is no point and that's official.
