This last coupla days I've been cross-referencing all the songs on albums and singles to each other, and establishing when songs first appeared on recorded output, and then identifying subsequent releases....That's done now.
The next bit I've virtually completed is identifying the personnel on the first release (whereever possible). I decided not to get too anal about it, so it's simply the main Fall line up at that time (rather than listing Granny on bongoes, passing dog on bum trumpet, etc, etc).
The final stage of the project is likely to be the most thankless task of all - identifying first/last time songs were played live - this may have to be a rainy month job (ah, that's now then...)
