Title: Memorabilia from The Fall
Description: some are recieving setlists...

mjungblu - August 1, 2004 06:56 PM (GMT)
The Fall gigs are always a good possibility to collect memorabilia.
In the former years plectrons had been spreaded. These rose coloured items with golden inscriptions are a little highlight in each Fall memorabilia archive.
Setlists are given away by the band and they are archived f.e. on pinwalls and at Fallnews.

My best item is one of these cards from MES’ t-shirt: The Queen of Spades.
See this picture I took in the middle of the monday set at York: http://www.visi.com/fall/news/pics/04july/04jul12-photo2.jpg
The glue didn’t fix very well. After the gig a mate gave it to me - for this I will thank Mark! What to do with such a unique item?
Put it into ebay and waiting for high records? No, I decided to scan it in, show you the Queen of Spades B)

Fucking hell Chase!!!!! I have warned you about using the quote buton when you should just use the add reply button. Just look at that last post of yours - all that quote for your 7 word reply. It makes the forum hard for everyone to read having to scroll down through all that unnecessary quote. If I see you do it one more time you will be on moderated posting & I will delete at will.

now now now we dont need to get upset over something minor, it was an accidental mistake, something we forget i am sure. sorry for the mistake.

Conway - August 2, 2004 03:08 AM (GMT)
Chase, it's an "accidental mistake" that you make all the time! No-one else seems to forget it the way you do.

Oh, you lucky lucky man.

Mr Smith once touched my head while he was adjusting a light that was shining in his eyes so I could conceivably have some of his skin molecules on my head if any DNA forensic specialists want to check.
In reality, my one piece of Fall memorabilia is a rather underwhelming "backstage pass" for York Barbican Centre that simply states
Backstage
FALL
And loads and loads of ticket stubs, obviously.

This is a good thread.

There must be loads of shit to add now.

What have you pinched?

I (who have nothing) remonstrated with confused security staff at de la warr pavilion.
"It's only a bit of paper you cunt" that startled them even more.
And johnny mills got the setlist.
It touched my arm as he legged it past me.
I stake my claim.

I pay Johnny Mills to do my dirty work.

He's my bitch you see.

Before the Cardiff 2008 gig I did see a container of urine being emptied out of the Fall tour van.

Sadly we were too far away for me to get the missus there quick enough to collect Fall Piss.

I’ve got 52 Fall stage set lists. Mostly Pritchard era onwards, but I’ve got a good sprinkling of early 80’s lists in the days when MES used to write them himself.

I’ve had good help from friends getting these over the last few years. These people know who they are, and I’m eternally grateful. I get pretty desperate for lists, and actually stole one from some drunk guy last year. I have to say I’m ashamed about this now, but I needed the whole set from Islington, and it was The Man Whose Head Expanded night. There’s a chunk missing from the paper, damaged as I grappled with the poor fellow. He was a big lad, but Hanley used to race Seb Coe, so he had no chance when I legged it.

In 3 years, I’ve managed to obtain the set list for every Fall gig I’ve been to.

In the unlikely even that anyone has a Fall set list lying around they don’t want, I can find a very nice home for it in the Hanley Consortium Setlistography.

I've very kindly been offered another one today.

I love Fall set lists. Something that's been stamped on by anyone from The Fall is good enough for me.

I don't collect bootlegs or proper Fall CD's. I used to, but no longer. Every bugger collects that shit. No-one has time to listen to it, so it's just there to piss off the wife or boyfriend. Sad 'billy no mates' is what these collectors are. They need to get a life.

Collecting set lists is what pulls the birds!

I've got a ring binder and everything.

Now I come to think of it, you are absolutely right. All my CDs are going in the bin tomorrow and I'm coming 'round to swap setlists with you.
