That's the first I've heard about Hendrix being the cause of the parakeet population - I've heard mating couples escaped from the Great Exhibition, or else they got out of London Zoo.

Many racehorses derive their names from a combination of their parent's names (lineage being so important in Horse Racing.) So this horse's Dam was drunk and his Sire was a nutter. Or vica versa.
