Title: Big Hanleyfender Quiz.
Description: Who is this?

Hanley Played a Fender P - October 18, 2009 10:04 PM (GMT)
Right, quiz time. That's me in the yellow bottoms and Pixie boots, and my twin brother is to my left in the leather jacket (not the black guy). The year is around 1981 /2

But who is the guy sitting next to me?

A '1980's icon'.

Nothing to do with sport or music.

Blair? Limahl? Prescott? Steve Strange? Campbell? Nick Kamen? Mr T?

It's not Martin Elliott, who took that photo

Is it that male model bloke who was photographed holding that baby for the Athena Poster?

It's a great picture, whoever it is :)

I'm impressed BK.

Yes it is.

He ran for the same Brighton running club as me, and lived in Haywards Heath at the time.

He told the Sun he had slept with over 3000 women.

All off the back of one black and white Athena poster!

Blimey!

I saw a documentary about him and that poster on Channel 4 a few years ago. Despite it earning the makers a small fortune, he never made much from it aside from his initial fee, which was itself reduced for some reason.
He reckons he sometimes slept with 3 or 4 separate women in a single day.

What a slut.

I agree.

I've only slept with 3 or 4 women in my entire life.

(And I was forced to marry two of them)

I agree.

My brother was into Crass at the time. He was very post punk, and this was before silly Mohicans came in. He looks quite cool. I'm afraid I look a right twat.

I was a Fall fan even back then, so my hair cut matched that fashion.

'Always different, always the permed fringe'..

Anyway, another true story about mega-shagging 80's icon Adam Perry.

Adam (like me) ran for Phoenix athletic club at the time of Steve Ovett. Adam was on OK 800 metre runner.

Anyway, Perry was good looking and had the gift of the gab. He phoned up the promoter of the Oslo games and said he was Ovett's training partner. (He actually only used the same track). The promoeter took him at his word and placed him in the B race of the Oslo Dream Mile where even the shittest runner could make the final of the Olympics.

So Perry got a free flight, posh hotel and came last in the race by a county mile.
