Found this link for line up and times on stage
http://www.moorfest.co.uk/lineup.htmTickets are £15 via paypal
athlete not cured - July 16, 2004 08:55 AM (GMT)
The more I think about this the less I like it, a max of 45 minutes for £15 and surely they should be top of the bill anyway
MOOR FEST - July 17, 2004 10:46 AM (GMT)
[FONT=Arial][SIZE=14]
MOOR FEST 2004, including the fall, mr scruff, haven and many more over three stages. you can see the line up at www.moorfest.co.uk . tickets cost £15 for the day and can be bought at picc box office / 0161 832 1111. any questions email me at pickledmusic@hotmail.com
Derek Batey - July 19, 2004 11:32 AM (GMT)
Anyone got any info about this? Their site isn't the most informative. After such details as ticket prices, whether any of the other acts are any good/whether it's worth making a day of, whether it's a new festival, can you take your own beer on site, anywhere close by to stay (campsite/b & B) etc.
fallfandave - July 19, 2004 12:38 PM (GMT)
it looks like an orgy...i dont think me wife will let me go :(
mikio - July 20, 2004 03:53 PM (GMT)
whats all this people bad mouthing it, i think the line ups top, and as a mancunian i've not seen the fall in manchester for ages. mr scruffs pretty funky too. Don't wanna be the only fall fan there!!! Mark used to live in Heaton Moor too.
Big Chief Mango Chutney XIV - July 20, 2004 04:14 PM (GMT)
I was thinking of going. But what's all this stuff about people bad-mouthing it? I must have missed that... Is there something dodgy going on? It's not a secret orgy* (like Fallfandave reckons) is it?
*in which case I'll definitely be there :)
Big Chief Mango Chutney XIV - July 31, 2004 10:07 PM (GMT)
Is anybody planning to go to Moorfest on the 14th? I really want to see The Fall, but I'm not all that keen on seeing a lot of the other bands. Does anybody know:
i) what time the Fall are scheduled to appear?
and
ii) if they will be playing a full size set?
The Moorfest website is curiously lacking in any real detail, so any information would be really appreciated.
fallfandave - July 31, 2004 10:11 PM (GMT)
i'm goin....probably stay for all of it...bring me kids too...it sez under 12s can go...
might stay over somewhere around heaton moor...
Big Chief Mango Chutney XIV - July 31, 2004 10:14 PM (GMT)
Has your wife relented then Dave?
(it was you whose wife thought it sounded like an orgy wasn't it?)
fallfandave - July 31, 2004 10:22 PM (GMT)
no i thought it started at midnight...n all the ppl in the pool.... ...it confused me  ....thought it was a strange festival
kiespijn - July 31, 2004 11:54 PM (GMT)

Yeah, maybe I'm being a bit harsh. I think the tacky website they've got, and the lack of posts on the board about it, has put me off a bit.
I'm sure it'll be really good providing The Fall get to do a full set. And it'll be another chance to hear the new songs... Right, I've talked myself into it. I'm definitely going!!!
kiespijn - August 1, 2004 12:45 AM (GMT)
Do they actually have a pool there? Have to dig out a sullen pair of trunks.
fallfandave - August 1, 2004 06:59 AM (GMT)
well considerin it starts at 12 noon and there dont seem that much on as yet...to fill all that time...i think the fall will have to do a full set....or even come on twice [i might be dreaming here]....

I played an event at this park once - might even have been Moorfest - perfect environment for Fall gig. It was populated by characters from Fall songs.. there was even a pierrot troupe
kiespijn - August 2, 2004 06:25 PM (GMT)
Got this reply today from one of the organisers:
| QUOTE |

sparrowface - August 4, 2004 03:35 PM (GMT)
I've just booked meself for this luvverley day out. It got me wondering when the last time was The Fall played an outdoor festival. The Fall at Glastonbury 92 still has a special place in my heart. . . Smith's rant at having to support The Levellers was priceless.

We used to get a leg up over the fence. On one occasion we landed directly in the security guards enclosure, which was a little unfortunate. Still, they were amenable to bribes (£10 per fence-scaler).
Another time I landed directly in a tree and got a round of applause.
And then on another occasion, I witnessed the entire fence come down above that field with the standing stones and hippys in. A surge of people just pushed it over. About 500 of them. :applaud:
Things ain't what they used to be...

Are tickets available on the day, does anyone know ?
fallfandave - August 13, 2004 02:05 PM (GMT)
it sez in the city life report [i sent to stefan] that they have sold over half the tickets ...which means that u probably might get in on the door...it has about 1500 capacity ...the first festival last year was even smaller , only 700....so pretty small scale festival really...not glastonbury 12 noon - 11.30pm... i takeit as ed sez the fall r on 9pm...so maybe mr scruff is headlining after them
the_shrander - August 13, 2004 02:09 PM (GMT)
If they aren't selling tickets on the door, then you'll get them from the Elizabethan pub on Heaton Moor Road. I'm in two minds about shelling out £15 but then it's local so I expect I'll be there.
fallfandave - August 13, 2004 02:13 PM (GMT)
it is for - charity prostate cancer
£15 u could pay for one band...this is cheap
the_shrander - August 13, 2004 02:16 PM (GMT)
Put it like that (and since I don't eat enough brazil nuts so I'll probably get prostate cancer) I think I'll go.
