Title: Brix Bonanza
Description: Why are all these polls about Brix?!

I thought there were an awful lot of Brix polls all of a sudden. Symptomatic of something? ;)

It's got a little to do with horny old men and a lot more to do with a certain request.

I'm not bothered either way. I'll chat about the Brix era music but the woman herself does not really interest me.
Still, some of the polls/threads draw some funny responses so it's all good. :)

I can say with hand on heart that I am free of lecherous feelings toward the good lady.

But at the very least her musical contribution made the band more enjoyable for me than it had been for much of the rest of the time. That's good enough for me.

She looked great on that cheeseburger, though.

The renewed interest in Brix is simply down to two factors:

1. MES has displayed dissapproval of our constant referrals to all things "look back", and has asked that we should perhaps spend more time praising the current line-up and material.

2. Brix has been appearing on prime time TV via Gok Wan's fashion programme for the last two months and is now a household name here.

All of which means she will almost certainly be back in the group by around September.

Brixmania gathers pace.

There's an article in the latest Word Mag titled "The Band Only I Like".

Judie Rogers opts for The Adult Net, referring to them as "one of indie-pop's greatest forgotten groups."

Unfortunately the picture caption suggests that Brix was stepping out with Nigel Kennedy prior to marrying Mr Smith.

Anyway, much of the pro-Brix backlash originated with certain posters' distaste for the lady and her contribution, though that seems to have died down. They can't have all discovered a repressed love of Vixen, surely? Somebody give Conway a nudge.
