Due to budget cuts, you can give tax breaks to only one of either "the family" or "single mothers". What do you do?

eeee, thats a tough one.

well. the family as a unit has a better chance of making it without the tax breaks. both partners can get jobs for example.

whereas single mothers have a tougher time of it, and are going to have to look after the kids AND find a job.

BUT. if you encourage people to have children without a stable family unit, this might lead to even more single mothers.

i vote family.
