Agreed. I was listening to that last night and had forgotten just how sublime it is.
As regards uplifting Fall songs, No Bulbs does it for me every time.

Or L.A., which came on in the car while I was out at the weekend - and obviously listening to the Peel Session disc 3 at the time. The spoken word intro of which, ie ". . . and Lloyd Cole's brain and face is made out of cowpat . . . ", sets the song off to a great start imo. :D

The Peel Session version of NEW PURITAN is utterly Godlike and is the most head banging, foot stomping, fist pumping piece of music ever recorded. :finger:
Antidotes ain't a bad one either.
Cobweb Eyes - July 23, 2008 07:27 PM (GMT)
Most of what's already been mentioned plus the following always light the blue touch paper:
Copped It - There is a fantastic live version of this from Radio 1's mid 80s Saturday Rock Show where Mark E Smith gives Andy Baton Foster a verbal slap for presuming that The Fall had gone commercial.
The Knight The Devil & Death - especially that bit where the American woman starts saying ''Zippin'' - no one ever mentions this song.
I'm Into CB - that bit where the drums kick in as he begins to broadcast ''This is Happy Harry Plack from the land of waving palms......''
Neighbourhood of Infinity - ''Who stole cafe's collection box?''
I have to say that even at the lowest of times, The Fall have never let me down. They always act like a fast acting tonic - should be available on the NHS!
Well done that man for mentioning the oh so tender Entitled - a real gem.
