The real New Fall, it was pretty close though.

No doubt for me - the newest one.

This must have been my hardest decision this week.

In the end I just couldn't ignore classics like Joker Hysterical Face, Hard Life In Country and Solicitor In Studio. Even Papal Visit has me like it more each year.

I think RTLs league position is about right; its good but not up there with the big boys. For me there is a curious disjointedness to it which irritates me a little. i.e. its an album that I rarely enjoy listening to all the way through.
I'll get a brownie point from Killerpup by giving RNFLP my vote. :lol:

To make it clear: Room To Live is an often overlooked gem, there's Hard Life In Country, Detective Instinct and Solicitor In Studio, three first-class tracks (nothing against the others as well). But without The Real New Fall LP I probably wouldn't be here. And, as I've said the other week, it sounds fresher, more from this decade. TRNFLP, Xyralothep, the three Js, Recovery Kit, please.

I think RTL has every reason to be up there with the other contenders. The title track is one of the few Fall songs that makes actually optimistic.

RNFLP is just too strong and RTL can't quite match it.

Theres only a few LP's that would steel the points from Room To Live. Can confirm that Real New is not amongst them.

This is the first time I felt a twinge of bad voting for Real New. Room shares some of that epic-ness from Hex and is filled with great songs. Real New though...come on...that's a GREAT F$@#IN' ALBUM! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

RTL is an album that I have always enjoyed.

Another tough one, this. I really wanted to go for RTL, but in the end clicked Real New. Still feel a bit uncertain though.

Well, you're at the controls, go back and change it, rig it, I don't care, we're all corrupt, but one thing that ain't in this sweet sad world is ROOM TO LIVE. Maybe in five years or something I'll rave on about Country on the Click; but not now.
Now don't get me wrong I do like it, but theres something wrong with it, theres something sad about it, its like the new era of the Fall started there, where there was some tacit agreement that the bar had been lowered.
Room to Live is pure fists and fire.

I just want Room to live...
pity, COTC is the best post Extricate Fall album.
