What on Earth are you on about?
The Fall forum has periodic bouts of mutual music sharing and discussion. Each participant compiles a mix cd and sends it to the organiser (on this occasion me). The organiser then randomly distributes one of those cds to another participant. Each participant then reviews the mix they have received and seems to wait nervously to see how their mix has gone down.

Can anyone take part?
Yes, certainly. But don't bother if you have no intention of doing a review.

What should be on the mix?
Anything. Previous rounds have brought a glorious selection of eclectic music to eager ears. However, I think most would be a tad disappointed to get Fall. It doesn't need to be segued or be a mash up or whatever is cool today - just do the best LP K-Tel never done and send it in. Doesn't have to be obscure - though nothing wrong if it is.

What format should it be?
The easiest is a cd (not a cd full of MP3s btw) but there are those who find doing a tape the most convenient. This is OK but I do need people to specify if receiving a tape is a possible option for them.

Other than the cost of burning the cd and posting it to me, and the effort of doing the review, nowt!

Surely, this is too good to be true?
No way! Hear some good music you haven't come across before, titillate someone else's ears and all for the cost of postage to the UK. The more the merrier.

OK, OK, I want to join. Is there a deadline?
Yes there is a deadline. All mixes to be received by me by 5 August. No mix in by then, then tough titty, you aren't in. That's about six weeks to get it sorted. It will also mean that by the time you receive it you should be back from your hols and fit and ready for the review fray!

The discs should not be marked in anyway, nor should tracklistings be included. Just put a bit of paper in the envelope, advising me who the disc is from, so I can keep track of where we're up to
