I had an MSX instead of a C64, but the tunes on this compilation sure bring back my pubescent keyboard smashing adrenalin rushes. They've been beefed up and made longer, but they're still 100% 8-bit fun.
Give this compilation a try, and you'll be surprised how much fun the tracks are and how well they work as songs. :girl2:
It's utterly fantastic, isn't it?

Yeah I think so too. In the original games these tracks were 20-30 second loops. MY copy doesn't have the booklet, but I guess they reworked them and turned them into these crazy 5 minute almost-dance anthems.
It might aggravate you the first couple of times, but give it some spins and I guarantee, even if you're too young or too old to have owned a home computer in the eighties, you'll be hooked - they're just great tunes.
Thanks for voting! :girl2:
Great poll.
Rob Hubbard was a god on the 80's gaming scene and in some cases the magazine reviews focused more on how good the music was rather than if the game was any kop or not :D . Monty on The Run (which I've voted for) was a good example, a fabulous theme tune but an absolute bastard hard platform game - I don't think I ever progressed more than a few screens into it....maybe I was just crap though.
