This is great news!

About time. It would be nice if there were a few extras on there as well, like some tracks off Extricate.

Now then, when are we going to see the 458489 Singles DVD.

Pinnacle Vision lists a running time of 35 minutes including "some very rare extra material". I don't have the original release, so I don't know how much longer the DVD lasts.

There are loads of Pascal Le Gras videos on this, aren't there?

On edit: I will check for myself on the videography! -_-

The original DVD was only about 30 minutes long, so the extra material will be about 5 minutes.

I'll buy it of course, it's cheap.

I am sad tho that neither the Sydney 1990 footage, nor the Heaton Park 1991 footage I suggested could both be added to the DVD will be there by the sound of it - beyond the budget for Sanctuary I guess. :(

This could have been expanded nicely with some decent extras.

Another missed opportunity to do the visual side of things justice, i reckon.

I agree, totally.

However filmed footage can cost a lot to buy.

A shame :(.

35 mins is probably about the same as the original video. The very rare extra material might be his holiday footage which was on the video.

This release has nothing to do with Sanctuary. It's on Cherry Red.

I guess Sanctuary / Universal won't touch it (/extra's from that era) then :(

When's is this out? I think DVD should be added to the Recent & Future releases page...for ease of use.

chachacha - July 19, 2008 09:35 PM (GMT)
preorder from Action-youll get it through your letterbox on the release date

I got the original VHS vid. It's largely shite. Videos that look as if done by local sixth formers for a level project. amateurish even by standards of fall

QTarquin - July 28, 2008 08:30 PM (GMT)
I have the VHS too...itīs preety good I think...I know what you mean about a set of sixth formers doing it...in fact Markīs second wife, Safron Prior features both in the video and in the credits...she was studying for Multimedia at Salford Uni during the time...so a cheap video was afoot.

Itīs wierd and amateur but in that intentional way that Mark likes to portray things.
Some will hate it others will like it...I wonder what the new material will be?

Divvey - August 3, 2008 09:53 AM (GMT)
yes, it is very ordinary, but it is an historical document if nothing else.
Doesn't bear repeated watches (well, I have sat through it once!!)

The Beatles had Magical Mystery Tour, you know...

DJAsh - August 3, 2008 10:25 PM (GMT)
I like the footage taken at Castlerigg stone circle above Keswick. And the High Tension Line vid is one of the best I think.

Mere Pseud. - August 20, 2008 07:07 PM (GMT)
Just visited the Play.com site to pre-order The Fallen book and noticed that the DVD has now gained the status "packing". :)

On edit: I've now received an email that it's been posted.
