but lets have a fag and reflect : P
- Off to good start I see.

Good luck on the plan - it helps to write things down - plans and accomplishments and shortfalls - make room for personal treats - maybe you don't tell your friends about the plan because they make comments on any shortfalls and add unhelpful comments....two steps forward and one step back is still progress :)

Although I stand accused :( , I proclaim my innocence :( duckpin tries not to cast aspersions or interfere with the affairs of others <_< but never backs off from a chance to see himself in print :o ....tis sad when you attempt to be supportive and then be made to suffer the slings and arrows of opprobium  my heart is pure :) and I go forward spreading lightness and cheer irrespective of those who try their mind games  Here, have a kitty :rollover:

Hmmm...me very suspicious of these protestations of innocence. Especially for a person so familiar with the 'dark arts'.

thanks for your comments : )

We wish you well and will try and help if called upon - best wishes.
Dark Arts?! since when is creating a race of undead a dark art...in the USA that's known as being a Republican. Can you get the Fox Network where you are? It's all out in the open...But I appreciate the compliment..

Careful, duckpin...the men in black will be on your doorstep. :o

Or, a la the Kinks: "Here come the people in gray to take me away"...of course your respondant here, when drafted for the Viet Nam War, passed everything except for the interview....my draft rejection said, "not suitable for the armed forces at this time" man, having political enthusiasms kept me from organizing the army and electing the officers....oh well, I later organized my comperes in the public sector until the FLRA took that away....payback? at least our lawyers got rich. "Who me, I'm jes' doin' my job admiral"
lavendercat06 - June 2, 2008 06:30 PM (GMT)
well, today ive done some of my chores in a very unwilling manner, and spent some time lying on the bed.
but at least i am up, dressed, and have done some of the chores including the heinous washing up.
bradx - June 2, 2008 06:35 PM (GMT)
Do you have a radio in your kitchen? I quite like washing up while listening to radio 4. Except the plays - I don't like those. Or 'You And Yours'. Apart from those 2 shows its ok. I quite like listening to the news or political comment whilst washing up as it makes me feel clean.
lavendercat06 - June 2, 2008 06:38 PM (GMT)
well sometimes maf puts the music on random shuffle, thats quite good.
he's playing gta atm tho so the house is filled with car noises and occasional swearing.
chores i have left to do:
make the bed
tidy up
clean toilet and sink
have a bath.
bradx - June 2, 2008 06:40 PM (GMT)
Not too bad then. I don't like bathroom cleaning though. I just can't get up any enthusiasm for it. I know I should but it defeats me. Luckily I live with a woman and she likes a clean bathroom. I'm ashamed of myself but what can you do?
lavendercat06 - June 2, 2008 06:45 PM (GMT)
yes, its lucky that maf does things like hoovering and washing up because sometimes there is a mountain of it.
i guess i sort of force myself, it feels like climbing up a mountain.
the annoying thing is that i tried to sort out my life many years ago, in 1995, and i began with doing the chores, and i actually got somewhere with it over a long period, but here i am again doing the same damn thing and its harder than it was then, maybe cos im older.
Hipper Still - June 2, 2008 06:56 PM (GMT)
Good luck with the program, and the blog.
As far as I'm concerned, motivating yourself to do anything new at all in the hot weather is an achievement.
lavendercat06 - June 2, 2008 06:57 PM (GMT)
thanks hipper still : D
not seen you for a while, hows it going ?
Hipper Still - June 2, 2008 07:04 PM (GMT)
Things are good.
I was voted onto the PCC of our church, and I'm on the finance sub-committee too, so I now officially run the Church of England parish of Birkenhead. Well, not quite, but it's a definite move towards total power. I like meetings, and agendas, for some reason.
Your cat lives with a bat, a hedgehog and a rabbit in our bedroom.
I've just got back from Sainsbury's, where there were reduced bargains-a-plenty.
Cool.

I find that playing 45s helps when I am cleaning up....usually if I hustle a little, I finish before a CD would end so a few 45s is just about right....it also reminds me to get back up if I've taken a seat because I have to put another record on...also it's music I only hear in these circumstances...
Mopiranger - June 2, 2008 07:32 PM (GMT)
it's the same for me, i measure time and chores in albums. i can spend up to half an hour finding the right soundtrack for whatever it is i'm trying to do - not too distracting? not too loud? not too slow? - but when i've made the right selection, I can actually do it, which is one thing, but also, I can do it with above average speed/accuracy.
For example, the dishes is usually an average length fall album extended with singles.
