Hex En hour - April 28, 2008 06:46 PM (GMT)
Mein Kampt for the Hollyoaks generation, can't wait to read it!! Mark funny and bang on form, one of the most entertaining interviews I've heard, I'd say ML was a relieved man
The Acute - April 28, 2008 06:46 PM (GMT)
Very funny actually (pissed)
Well worth a listen on that listen again thing when they put that up, probably tomorrow. fast forward about 25-28 minutes and he's there. (Pissed)

Not my take on it, he's not pissed all the time you know
The Acute - April 28, 2008 06:53 PM (GMT)
Sounded like a lot of pissed people I know. Must have been nerves then. Something was definitely stopping him from forming words properly.

The Acute is always on a bit of a 'downer'.
Have a drink mate.

most amusing - but his constant reference to "the ghost writer" discredits the book. in the fullness of time ( 6 months - once anyone interested has bought it) - mes will distance himself from the project and promise the REAL deal. in a couple of years, another biog will surface. this time, he might even think about writing his own book himself.

Good interview... just wish I hadn't been driving when I turned the radio on!
One review commented that he hadn't finished the manuscript, which explains the 'Mein Kampf for Hollyoaks' reference.
Canary Woof - April 28, 2008 08:09 PM (GMT)
He wont. He wont bother - definitely just in it for the money.
Love the fact he admits he hasn't read it - oddly reminiscent of Jordan.
V funny interview-loved the way he kept asking Mark Lawson "What about you?". Lawson quite flummoxed......
Grease For Roads - April 28, 2008 08:21 PM (GMT)
I liked the way Mark lawson was banging on about alcohol and M.E.S. started going on about amphetamines and drugs as if he was so much more than a mere boozer. Very funny interview.

Thanks ocelot. I fucking hate that Lawson, his intro is disgusting. Grey skin...?
...
Very enjoyable, charming as usual. Asking questions of the interviewer is tactical genius.

cheers bro...
Just listened, thought it was really good. Nice to hear somebody tackle MES on his drinking. Thought Mark Lawson handled the interview pretty well.

Or get Elena to write it, then he can blame her ;)

another appearance of MES on BBC Radio 5 today, at about 12:30 on about the MOJO maverick award. Played clips of Sparta, Victoria & Hey Luciani before they had a brief interview with him, which the interviewer was dreading ...
Usual stuff, asked him about Shakin' Stevens at Glasto and he said something about how he used to liked his early (pre-Shaky? didn't catch the name of the group) stuff. Woman in studio listening to the interview couldn't understand him, bloke said something about liking Shaky and something else
Davey B - May 1, 2008 06:42 PM (GMT)
When Mark Lawson asks him about "rehab" he puts on his growly voice. :o

His voice is strangely young sounding.
