Title: Tapestry

Late-night love, loss and longing — an album to melt even the most icy heart.

Favourite track?

:applaud:

Huge seller at the time as well, proves the public don't always get it wrong.

It's all great, but these stand out for me:

"So Far Away" – 3:55
"It's Too Late" – 3:53
"You've Got a Friend" – 5:09

So Far Away perhaps touches me the most so gets my vote.

An Lp you find in someone else's collection while they're away, and most of the rest of their collection is shite.
There was this, The Darkness CD, and a bunch of stuff by people called "Jackson Brown", "Melissa Etheridge", "also on special", and "Soft Rock Box Set Bet you had wished you had sex as a teenager now"

Tough choice.

Maybe, but it's a great album.

But re: Tapestry, what's not to like? It's a bare-your-soul singer-songwriter LP with killer melodies, beautiful music and heartbreaking lyrics.

True to a letter. Great album.

So Far Away for me.

No, you're right, clearly.

I just have weird childhood memories of it.

Had to rectify the fact that no-one yet had voted for (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman. I am compelled to sing loudly along with this whenever I hear it, despite it not perhaps being strictly biologically true.

I Feel the Earth Move - as fine an opening track as I can think of.

The songs are great, it's undeniable.

But I think I'd like them more if someone else sang them. CK's nasal twang kind of rubs me the wrong way.

I mean, it's cool for her to step out of the shadows and put her music out under her own name, but it would have been better if Aretha or someone sang this album.
