Title: anybody heard of this game ?
RedDanDoc - July 11, 2007 09:39 PM (GMT)
I heard about this game today.
You start off with a word and somebody follows it with another word but the following word must not contain any of the letters that are in the preceding word.
So if i start with the word Fox no following word shall contain an F an O or an X.
Apparentley its nigh on impossible to surpass 6 words though it can be done !
Shall we try ? could be interesting to see how far we could get ?
Fox

Do you think the game meant not using letters used in any of the previous words, cos at this rate we're goona sail past 6 words without catching breath

I think the words would have to be 5or6 letters minimum, which would look nice printed in a column,a bit like the change one letter at a time lists, might be a bit more difficult then so,,
BRING BORROW,,

Ahem
I think to make the game work so that its tough to get past 5 or 6 words, the rules must be that none of the letters in ANY of the previous words are re-used, not just the previous word. Otherwise you could go on for ever
So dont you go rolling your eyes at me, especially while I was on holidays
:P
;)
RedDanDoc - August 8, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)

I heard about this game on a podcast i downloaded about aliens
apparently this man reckons that he is in contact with aliens who have been teaching him stuff. This game is supposed to be very difficult yet he was doing it easily.
He dont post here though
i just wondered how far we could take it.

I only just noticed you edited my post in the box. This will not do.
idonotknowyournamr - October 10, 2007 03:33 PM (GMT)
I thought I would help. Otherwise it (could) looks just like a continuum..so then I would just take the first and the last word...something different?again..?
P.S you are free to edit mine (especially the spelling pistakes.)

That that is, is that that is, not, is not.

This was on the tearjerking film Charlie, about the stupid guy, who was made clever, for a while, then the drug wore off. Very sad film, not bad though.
That,, that is,, is.... That,, that is not,,, is not...
idonotknowyournamr - October 10, 2007 03:50 PM (GMT)
I do believe we live in plural worlds...is that 'not', not 'is'?..just is 'not'.?
twinz2z - October 10, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
In fact what happened, two egytian boys met, and one pointing to the others damp jumper, said "That!! That Isis!!" mening, he had splashed his jumper with water from the river. the other replies, "That isnot, isnot" in a very insistent manner. thus,

Interesting Egyptian story, I read in a mag once, about a model that was found in a tomb. It revealed the secret of how they shifted those huge stones. It was very clever, the way they did it. Amazed me!!

I like the one about the Egyptian pictorial painting. Apparently they liked that side-on view because it was the way they used to paint people back in the ol' days.
You were squashed between to large pieces of wood(like woodcuts) and the head was always side-on to get the largest profile.
They were a vain lot the Egyptians, they were, so they were.

Apparantly something like this cradle--segmented into 4 arc,s --that could be folded around a block of stone, and joined, was found in a
TOMB.Working now, I hope.
